Brunnex arm was off in 0.11 seconds. It shot out of him in a fountain of blood and landed several meters away. Pathetic. Brunnex spat. Having a good one, Tourival? He asked turning to his friend.

The fire that erupted out of Cheribum got as far as an arm's length away from Shalor, and then it flared upwards suddenly and continued no further, as if it had hit a wall.

It had in fact hit a wall, a wall of magical energy; Shalor's magical energy.

Although his reserves were small, and his own magical know-how was nonexistent, Shalor had been upgraded with a few basic protection spells by Auron. Of course, if he had any choice in the matter he would never use magic, but since his will was not his own his there was little he could do about that.

Having just drained about half of his magical reserves repelling that minor assault Shalor looked towards the ground, then folded his wings and torpedoed towards a group of Sardonian soldiers. He moved through the air as quick as a bullet, but ten feet off of the ground he opened his wings and pulled up to slow his descent, he landed with a solid thud in amongst the Sardonian soldiers.

He blocked a strike from one soldier, then moved around behind another and grabbed him by the throat and held him tight against his body, his sword coming up to press against the man's throat. The soldiers around Shalor backed off at the sight of a comrade being held hostage, they were a little ways off of the front lines of battle, but there was still a few abominations around causing trouble and as such most of them didn't even have the luxury of trying to resolve this issue.

Shalor looked up at Shilack, hostage placed between the two, and awaited his next move...

--

Auron slid Iza across a Sardonian's soldier's gut as the silly Ork threw his axe too far back in preparation to chop Auron in half. Stepping past his now dead foe Auron grinned as he saw a clearing where there was a circle of death and destruction even he had to admire somewhat, and at the centre of it was his favorite Dragon Rider.

Faolin was blocking a strike from one abomination, and cutting into another, and using his free hand to snap the neck of a third all at once and was making it look easy. His clean transition from kill to kill, clad in his crimson dragon-scale armour, made him look like some sort of mountainous demon come to slaughter any who would stand in his way. His sword was a wicked length of dripping metal moving so quickly it was hard to believe that it was the size that it was, and also that Faolin was able to move so flexibly while carrying it.

Turning on foot Faolin caught sight of Auron, his face of stone hardened and he cut down an abomination that stood between the two as he began making his way towards Auron with bloody menace in his eyes and a bloodier sword in his hands.

Auron grinned, letting Iza fall from his grasp he teleported it away for now and wondered which sword he should use against Faolin. After a moment of contemplation he chose Tamesaka, which was 'lost' amongst the upturned earth around the thrashing Monda and the Alpha worm.

With a click of his fingers Auron summoned the sword to his right hand, he chose to leave the left hand free just in case he needed to cast some hasty spells to stop Faolin from taking him out of this battle prematurely.

The two strolled towards each other, one with the intent to maim and kill, the other only with an interest in wasting time...

Enraged Shilack had followed him coming to rest within the circle the soldiers had created. I am sorry he has done this to you without even a life debt. I shall avenge you. Shilack too a shaky breath then to steady his nerves.

Forgive me, Brun He cried suddenly and charged quick as a flash. Quicker than the eye. Quicker than at all possible. Cherubim went right through the soldiers rib cage; It moved through the heart killing the man instantly; and out almost as quick as shilack had moved and the blade continued to travel out the other side.

Cherubim. Shilack whispered and a blast of fire shot out through the sword again. He knew Shalor would shield this one with magic but he also knew that would be the last of it.

Shalor did indeed shield this one with magic, he was pushed backwards by the flame instead of being burned by it, as if it were a great gout of water.

The soldier that Shilack impaled gave one gasp of air, then he was consumed by fires. The gathered soldiers roared at Shilack, cursing him as a traitor, one man even went so far as to step up behind Shilack and swing a shaky sword at his back.

Shalor dashed forward, but around Cheribum, with a downward slash so fast it was borderline magical in speed.

There was a golden eruption of sparks as a blade appeared to block Shalor's strike, still over a metre away from Shilack's person.

"Mind if I take this dance?" Fenrir asked both Shalor and Shilack with a cheeky grin, then planted the sole of his boot in Shalor's gut, forcing his sword downwards as the struggle went out of Shalor's. With a mental flick Fenrir changed the form of his sword into that of a small one-handed warhammer, or more aptly put a slab of teal metal on the end of a handle. He drove his hammer down towards Shalor, but the Ferrock caught himself from the fall expertly and was already rolling backwards as Fenrir swung downwards, the blow missed but not by much.

Straightening himself Shalor did not have a moments notice to catch his breath before Fenrir was upon him with a mad flurry of hammer swings...

The sword was blocked. And the angry soldier kicked away. [b]We must do what we must! He came here to give his life for his country and he did. He will rest forever in Elisium with pure conscience and good heart. Now all of you get back to fighting those abominations! Shilack barked at the assembled crowd.

He hadnt been quite so ruthless in a long while. Not to say Shilack hadnt done some things; some terrible, terrible things; in the name of his Master before. Sacrificing one soldier to weaken a powerful enemy was actually a relatively good act relative to some of the things he had sacrificed in the past.

Brunnex chuckled as his arm regenerated the crystal glowing a greater blue. "I destroyed his armour. He tried to poison me. I ejected the poison." Brunnex gaze became hard. "Want to tell me why you engaged this bastard," Brunnex accompanied this by spiking the headless corpse through the heart "when I said I would deal with him?"

Taru's body promptly exploded outwards. The explosion came without warning and was as large as the ones created by Krom and Lyacoon previously.

-

Auron gave a great chuckle as he sidestepped Faolin's downwards cleave, driving the side of his sword handle into Faolin's face at the same time.

Faolin's head bounced backwards, but he wasted no time at all in returning Auron's gift with his own left hand, and he hit a lot harder than the demigod, who was brought to one knee by Faolin's thunderous left hook.

Still upon one knee Auron chuckled once more, and then muttered but a single word in the old language which sent Faolin flying backwards, and into a crowd of Sardonian soldiers whom all toppled as the giant of a man bowled into them.

Rising Auron spoke, mostly to himself; "Ah..About time someone done that." He was speaking of Brunnex and Tourivil killing Taru, it had been the trigger he had been waiting for before he enacted his plan. Now that Taru was out of the way the Sardonians had proven themselves able to survive the real threat, and as such his plan actually stood a chance of succeeding.

Before Auron could do what needed to be done Faolin was on his feet, and upon him once more with titanic blows of shuddering strength. Auron repelled them with relative ease, simply waiting for a chance to strike...

-

If Fenrir called Shilor 'amazing' with his sword, he would have to come up with another word entirely to describe Shalor's swordplay. It wasn't nearly as fluid a sword fighting style as he had seen, it was primal and relied almost entirely on swift and abrupt shows of sheer force, but Shalor had the speed and power to make it work to a masterful level. Every strike Fenrir blocked felt like his arm would be ripped off, everyone he dodged he done so only be a hair's breadth. At the same time his own strikes, although much quicker than Shalor's, did not seem to phase the stalwart defense of Shalor at all. He just kept blocking and striking, blocking and striking, with the occasional flare of his wings or bout of free-hand attacks to throw Fenrir off his game.

It was working, Fen was switching weapons like crazy to try to confuse Shalor, but he didn't seem to care at all what sort of weapon his opponent used. Both warriors had landed their fair share of blows, Shalor's right eye was closed over due to a wound on his brow which was bleeding heavily, while Fenrir's left arm was almost entirely numb after Shalor had slammed the flat of his blade into it and had surely broken at least one bone.

Regardless of their wounds both warriors fought on, their movements too quick for most to follow, their strikes too strong for most to comprehend, and their desire to best the other almost palpable in the air.

Because he was an enemy, and he was attacking my men. Obviously. *Tourivil said with a shrug. * I couldn't give less of damn who it is, if they attack my men, I will fight back. It is only just. Besides, I have people. *He said meaningfully as the little beast flew over. *

Taru's body promptly exploded outwards, again. The explosion came without warning and was as large as the ones created by Krom and Lyacoon previously.

-

Auron ducked under Faolin's swing, but instead of swinging his own sword in return Auron flattened his left palm and forced it with all his might onto the centre of Faolin's chest, knocking the wind out of him and also pushing him back a fair bit, but that was not the main reason for the odd form of attack.

Auron eyes went wide and he screamed, a moment later his right shoulder exploded outwards as a dozen or more writhing albino snakes forced their way out from beneath his skin. The snakes emerged and showed themselves to be at least three feet long, and were still inside of Faolin when showing such length. Without waiting for the Dragon rider to recover the snakes coiled inwards and began constricting anything they could get their hands on.

Auron, pleased that Faolin would not bother him for at least a few minutes, retreated into the wild fray of battle, hacking and slashing at any who stepped in his way, friend or foe.

When he had distanced himself from the struggling Faolin Auron sheathed his sword and placed his hands together in order to give himself a focal point to gather his magic, that being the centre of his balled hands.

After only a few moments of preparation Auron bent to the ground like a snake pouncing on a helpless animal, slamming his hand into the ground Auron summoned yet another Fallen to the battlefield, the only one that mattered at all in his grand scheme...

-

Fenrir rolled to the side, just in time to avoid being stabbed through the face by the tip of Shalor's side. Unable to get off of his back in time Fen was forced to simply rolled back the way he had came from to avoid another fatal downward strike from Shalor, the Ferrock was not playing fair or nice that was for sure.

Curling in on himself as he rolled Fenrir flared his legs wildly, bending at the knee as he done so, and then with one great show of strength he flipped upwards and was on his feet once more, a teal axe in hand as he tried to fend off Shalor as best as he could.

As far as opponents had went Fenrir had been pretty blessed were skill went, being trained by Faolin for the most part meant he was no idiot when it came to knowing a good swordsman from a bad one. He had fought Achilles often enough to know the difference between a good swordsman, and an excellent one. His battle with Nahkaro had taught him the difference between an excellent swordsman who's not trying to take your head clean off, and one you is trying to take your head clean off. Shalor, Shalor was something else entirely from all of the men he had traded steel with in his life.

He lacked the sheer skill of Achilles, the improvisation of Faolin, and the impressively varied combat styles of Nahkaro, but what he lacked for in those areas and more he made up for in sheer brutal power, speed, ferocity and an unrelenting desire to cut Fenrir to pieces. His fighting style was pretty straight forward, no fancy flourishes or anything, but he used it so well that it didn't matter if you could predict what he was going to do, he was just too good to do anything about it! Fenrir was damn sure that if he hadn't had the very best of training up until now, then he would have died pretty quickly against Shalor, and even with it he wasn't fairing very well..

He and Shalor began swapping swipes once again, but it was clear that Fenrir was beginning to get sluggish and would require aid to defeat such an opponent, or at least a small break from the combat.

Just when he thought he was about to get the upperhand over Shalor Fenrir was shocked to hear what he could only describe as the sky roaring in rage, or the wind itself ripping some gigantic beast apart. Turning his head he saw that a torrent of debris and wind miles high was the source of the noise, but the debris caught him off guard to say the least, he couldn't quite see but he was pretty sure that they were light pink flower petals...

-

The tornado had appeared in the centre of the two clashing hordes, resulting in minimal casualties since there was actually a fair amount of distance separating the two sides of the battlefield, but the winds from even the edges were so strong that the men and abominations on the outskirts of either battlefield were picked off their feet and wisped off into the hurricane of smoke and flowers.

The anomaly had sprung into life from literally nowhere, and lasted only a second before the winds seemed to slow for a second, and then the petals half-took form and shot outwards towards either side of the battlefield. It was as if two giant snakes, or other such long animal, were created from the snakes as they made their way through the air faster than any dragon could hope to match.

As the snakey-petal-formation passed over the clashing soldiers hundreds upon hundreds of petals fell from it's hide and floated down harmlessly to the ground, or to land on the armour of Sardonians or abominations. When either formation reached the centre of each Sardonian horde they shot downwards as if forced by some invisible force, and then suddenly lost all form as the petals shot outwards in every direction.

The petals were everywhere, a quarter of the battlefield was littered with them, even the battle site of the clashing monstrosities that were the Alpha and Monda. They seemed to lie there utterly benign, and then they were all sucked onto the armour, flesh and weaponry of the nearest Sardonian soldier. The way it worked it most of the afflicted soldiers ended up with dozens of petals, whilst the vast majority of the Sardonians received none at all.

With an otherworldly crash-boom the petals all lit up, and then exploded as if they were small wads of C4. Each explosion was only just bigger than a petal itself, but the sheer number of petals meant that when the simultaneous equations occurred the entire battlefield shook and rumbled, and thousands died...

The Sardonian army was crippled severely by the sudden, and violent, attack of clear magical origin. In total about six thousand men were killed by the attack, and many more were injured, and those were not just the Sardonians, but the men of Unu'keth also, and the reinforcements. The scale of the magical attack brought a new dimension to the battle, no one had thrown such power around yet, but no doubt the flood gates had been opened now...

(If you were near the centre of any of the three battlefields, then you got petalled and would have had to defend yourself somehow in the seconds before they exploded. Otherwise, you damn well heard and saw the countless explosions and your character should most certainly react somehow.)

--

Jason stood in the exact centre of where the flower tornado had appeared, Otaru across his back and a poetic look upon his face. His eyes were closed lightly and he was sniffing a pink flower that resembled a rose but was too light of hue, he seemed rather pleased by it's fragrance.

It would not take a genius to work out that Jason had in fact created the tornado that had killed so many, nor would it take a genius to work out that it would take a serious amount of firepower to take Jason down.

-

The Alpha and Monda were both littered with petals, though in truth the petals had only been trying to attach to the Alpha but had found it impossible to do without at least slightly getting Monda as well.

Due to the fact there bodies were coiling and wrapping around one another as each tried to get into it's optimal killing position, when the explosion occurred both took a large amount of damage, but neither paused for more than a second to register the pain before continuing trying to kill the other...

*Tourivil and Brunnex are protected from this explosion by a wall of air, generated by the little beast above them. When the petals came, the little beast made a series of tiny disc shaped shields which caught any that came towards Tourivil and whisked them away. It seemed he had found himself a rather good protector. Brunnex had also been protected, but this seemed more just because he was next to Tourivil, the little beast likely couldn't give less of a damn about him.

Tourivil looked to Brunnex, then to Jason. *

You see that bastard? I'd say he poses a direct threat to Unu'Kuth. *He said nonchalantly. *

The petals happened at the same time John happened to have teleported to a spot behind Elderane. Of the few near him, none struck him. However, he saw as the petals blew up on different people. He blinked, before concentrating on Elderane. Whoever it was, was clearly a strong mage, someone far stronger than he was. He knew though that many had been killed, and he would deal with that later.

AS he was behind Elderane though, he had lowered his magical output. However, doing that had little to no effect on his next attack, as he held out his hand and sent out a series of small blue disks, straight towards Elderane.

Elderane, seeing John teleported done likewise in time to avoid whatever the blue discs were going to do.

Elderane reappeared back on the ground, looking straight up at John. Raising his staff into the air his entire body shook and his eyes grew wide as he called on forces a little out of his league, planting his staff back onto the ground Elderane brought down a lightning bolt upon John's head, using the natural storm created by Jet to increase the power of the lightning to the above standard 1.21 gigawatts. Stopping such an attack would try even the hardiest of mage's shields, avoiding it was simply impossible..

-

The explosions had been too near Faolin, Erda had left his partner alone for far too long in this battle and it was clear that he was in dire need of his direct aid, not just his mental strength. Erda felt somewhat stung for having to leave Monda alive, but it would have taken far too long for him to have seen that snake dead, even with the help of the blood worm.

He found Faolin without any problem, even in the midst of this bloody chaos their link shined brighter than anything. With an intake of breath and a great gout of fire Erda set several dozen abominations on fire, flying low over half a dozen more to tear at them with his claws. He landed with a earth shaking thud a few tens of metres away from Faolin, who was in the middle of a Dwarven shield well erected to protect him long enough to heal his wounds.

The dwarves saw the hulking mass of red scales moving towards them and parted like the sea for Israel, breaking off into the fray of battle once more. They had served their purpose and Erda would see the shortbeards thanked once this battle was finished, assuming of course that any of them made it through this madness.

Faolin was hunched over, both hands free, and glowing an unearthly and bright red, and pressed onto his chest as he done all he could to heal the huge wound created by the snakes bursting from his chest. It was not too taxing for his magical reserve, though it was no easy task in that manner, but healing was not his forte and although he could heal minor fractures and broken bones, this level of healing was beyond his capabilities, especially in the middle of such an intense fight.

When he felt his partner drawing near Faolin stood to his full height, grimacing as he tried to feign strength. Erda gave a growl, covered him in dark soot from his nostril and then the two were engulfed in a red flash...

-

Now that Jason was loosed it was just a matter of time, or so Auron hoped.

He was moving towards where Jason was now, cutting his way through Sardonians with Iza and Tamesaka in hand. He wasn't rushing though, it should be noted. Oh no, he was taking his sweet time, enjoying every cut, every decapitation, every last drop of blood he cut from the fleshy prisons that dared stand in the way of his entertainment.

He was keeping an eye on the two that had dispatched Taru, or at least keeping an eye on their magical presence. They were both still going strong, and there was a third presence near them that was very curious indeed, those factors were most intriguing indeed. He had thought Taru would pose more of a threat than he actually did, not that it changed his plans overly much, if anything it only helped move things forward all the quicker...

The burning green humanoid rose his arm and swiped at the long snaking inferno.

At the instance of a touch, the two exploded inside an ugly orange brown flame, expanding within seconds into a small spheric shape that had swallowed them at the moment they touched each other. A wave of heated air knocked down the soldiers that were near the two, some even fainted from the already too hot air of this desert enviroment and hot sand particles clattered against their aqrmour.

The pure yellow and tan sand that has been blown upwards into the air began to settle down and rain back towards the earth. The sudden sandy dust began to clear to see who is the victor. The deadly pyro snake or the flaming humanoid being.

Time seemed to slow for those around John, if anyone was in the air. The reason for this was mainly a technique he hadn't had to use in battle for a long time. It had all started years ago, when he had first started to learn magic. Although there were some spells he had then yet to learn, he had been adamant that he was able to block some spells that had been thrown around, such as Jets lightning spell.

He knew he wouldn't be able to block it, but instead, he had decided to redirect it, ever so slightly. He called it, the Shiru nos star.

Once he'd seen Elderane teleport, he'd sent the discs downwards with a wave of his hand. Once he'd heard the lightning, he casted a spell which slowed town time, giving him just enough to yell "SHIRU NOS STAR", while turning to face the sky, his hands cupped by his side.

By itself, the Shiru no star was a powerful beam, which used up alot of magic. However, unlike most attacks, it could also be redirected mid attack. As it was now, it shot up towards the lightning, which was at most only 7 metres away from John. As it shot upwards, it curved, so that when it passed the lightning attack, the lightning was slightly redirected by bouncing slightly off of the beam.

Once thelightning passed past John, he stopped the Shiru nos star, but sent what was left of the beam back towards Elderane. Whether or not Elderane was in the lightnings path was unknown to him. He turned to find out.

The lightning went slightly askew and hit the ground by John's feet harmlessly, most of it's charge having been dissipated upon impact with John's magical attack. If the attack had directly impacted with the falling lightning there may have been an explosion of sorts, or rather an outward movement of the two colliding forces, but since the beam had struck the lightning from the side there was no such result, which was lucky for those nearby.

Elderane lowered the head of his staff in line with the incoming beam of magic, creating a magical suction affect at it's tip as to siphon off the energy from John's attack when it impacted. The idea was that by the time the beam got passed the siphon affect there would be little to no threat at all since Elderane's casual shielding would ward off your average magical attack well enough.

What Elderane did not count for however was his own magical reserves being too low to counter balance the initial flow of the beam's power, meaning that when the first few drops of magic being pouring into his staff it began to vibrate in his hands. After only a few brief seconds of ever increasing vibration the staff splintered and cracked in his hands, exploding outwards slightly, and leaving Elderane open to the residual beam's direct attack.

In the instant before impact Elderane done what he could to bolster his magical shields, but the beam still took him on the left half of his stomach, having a knock-back effect of several metres before Elderane took hold of the drilling energy beam with two hands and simply pushed it away from his body and into the sky.

His black robe now had a huge ragged hole where the chest was once covered, revealing a grey torso of heavily cut and burned flesh. It was evident he had sustained quite a bit of damage from that last attack, and also that he was running out of magic now since he was unable to mount any real defense.

Now staffless Elderane held both of his hands in front of him and began gathering all of the magic he had left for one final attack...

-

The explosion that occurred killed many Sardonian soldiers, but not an obscene amount because many of them were blown off their feet and carried off by the sheer wind created by it. When the dust fell and the winds quietened, back to their thunderstorm state anyway, the snake was entirely gone and had left naught but death and scorched earth in it's wake.

Having being at the centre of such an explosion would have meant that Leaf had taken the direct force of the fiery inferno created momentarily, where he was or in what state he was in was hard to tell for the onlooking Sardonian soldiers due to the amount of clearing dust still in the air.

-

Explosions, explosions everywhere!

Fen didn't have a clue what was going on anymore, all he was sure of was that his eardrums were taking far more of a beating than the rest of his body, and he was beginning to wonder just how much longer they would hold out.

The flowery tornado had had a strange calming affect on him for a moment, but when the petals began zooming towards Sardonians his instincts kicked in and he kept an eye on them whilst also trying to repel Shalor as best as he could. The explosions had not been far from him and he couldn't help but be thankful that he was not one of those stuck by a petal, a thought that made him sick since he was glad that others had died instead of him.

The second large explosion, that of Leaf and the fiery snake, was quite far off yet he had seen it still and heard it's mighty boom a second later. He hoped that that explosion was one of the good guys kicking ass, otherwise things weren't looking good for his side at all.

-

Achilles was unphased by the countless explosions around him, nor by the fact that he had been subject to at least a half dozen of the petal explosions. His clothing had been reduced to ashes and he had been forced to summon himself some replacements, in the form of a dark over-shirt and some tight leather trousers of the same color, but otherwise he was entirely unharmed. Rather bored actually.

The thing that actually brought a change of expression to his face was not the explosions, but the moment he saw his young demigod apprentice locked in a struggle with a rather ferocious fighting Ferrock, and even then Achilles only smiled.

Moving like a golden wind he intercepted an overhead swing, and before Fenrir could say two words about the whole thing Achilles had stolen his opponent and was pushing the Ferrock backwards with a relentless flurry of strikes, they were heading for a charging line of abominations about to be flanked by a group of Sardonian soldiers.

-

Like some sort of sending from the Gods there came the blowing of many trumpets from behind the Unu'keth garrison, and a moment later the first line of men rounded the ensnared giant snake-beings and came into sight, Lord Troy atop his pale white horse leading the lot.

It had taken them some time, but the twenty five thousand men that were supposed to attack from the opposite that Lord Sicarius had were finally about to enter the battle, backing up the smallest Sardonian force, that of the Unu'keth garrison, just out of coincidence really...

-

Faolin was soaring through the air, ripping the scalps of abominations to shreds with his talons as he passed over head, and tensing his wings as he brought himself a little higher up off the ground so that he did not land before he hit his target.

The world had a crimson tint, and yet was ultimately clear to him, far beyond that of human perception. He could not only see the abominations below him as he shot passed them at breakneck speeds., he could see the blood come out of their wounds, he could see their muscles tense and he could hear their low beast-like growls before they even left their rotten throats, every detail was in absolute detail to him now, and he had never felt more alive than when he was in this form.

He and Erda were of one mind at all times, but when bonded into a being of single physical form they were at their absolute strongest. They could actually use either of their bodies as the host medium but Faolin's was more compact and had more added benefits than Erda's did when they were fused as one, such as his hands becoming paws, his nails claws, an ability to spout fire, two giant red wings enabling him to fly, and half of his body being covered in red scales harder than steel. He was quicker, stronger and just better in this form, but it meant that Erda was unable to pose a separate threat on the battlefield and as such they only used it under dire circumstances.

He was fast approaching his target, whom seemed not to notice their approach from behind him as he continued to sniff his flower in silence....

-

Jason sensed them, of course he did, he simply didn't see the point in moving until he was required to.

At the very last instant before Faolin's outstretched claws took hold of the back of Jason's head, the young man wiped around and tossed his pink rose passed Faolin's face and towards his chest as he approached. Before Faolin could react the flower had exploded only an inches from his chest, and had sent him off course and caused him to seize up for an instant in pain, in that same instant Jason, whom was now jumping backwards, brought Otaru up and slammed the huge flat edge of the blade into Faolin before he could adjust his flight course, thus sending Faolin flying as if he were a baseball and Otaru a bat.

Faolin hit the ground rolling, tucking his wings into his back as best as he could, but Jason was faster still.

Otaru was raised high and Jason was bringing it down with all his one-handed might, yet making it look as if he were barely trying at all, right towards Faolin's forehead. The dragon rider would not have the time to move, and he was too dazed from the previous attack to raise any real defense against the incoming blade...

John created his defences, but it was mostly a trap. His staff disappeared from view, and a Jian replaced it. He readied himself as if to strike, before making the movement, even though he was still too far away. Then he disappeared.

He'd actually teleported, and was right behind Elderane, aiming directly for his spine. In order to block the hit, Elderane would have to give on on charging the attack.

At the last moment Elderane forced all of his magic behind him in the form of an invisible spike of magical energy, dense enough to pierce several inches of steel and long enough as well. The magic would hit John in the chest, there was no way he could move quick enough to avoid it even with magic, and it's damage would be done, but after that Elderane barely had enough magic to hold his form any longer. Slumping to the floor would be the only thing he would do once his attack had rung his final call of battle...

The attack forced John to instantly let go of the sword. The spike pierced his abdomen, which wasn't a fatal injury. If left untreated, however, he would eventually succumb to this wound. His body didn't go far however, and he was able to slowly get to his feet.

As he did, he saw the body of Elderane, this Fallen Elderane, slowly struggling to get up. It was magicless.
"Tillion, I need to recover. I'm leaving the battlefield for a bit." He thought, before walking over to Elderane, the Jian appearing in his hand, and he stabbed Elderane in the back of the neck.

To make sure though, once he'd taken the Jian out, he unleashed a pure white burst that engulfed Elderanes body in flames. Closing his eyes in deep though, knowing he'd done one of the two things he had come here to do. He then teleported off of the battlefield.

Elderane's body was completely eradicated by John's attack and therefore the fail safe explosion did not have any mass to explode.

Definitely. Brunnex agreed wings forming out of his solid armour. He had been studying the flitting technique Brun had used just once when he had become quarter dragon. It was not a magical technique but in fact just a complicated motion with his wings where he lifted and, at the same time, used the force of his body falling down to shoot forward quickly. Brunnex flitted forward then in a flicker of an instance.

Otaru was blocked just in time by a sword of similar material to a dragon riders sword. Brunnex was pretty sure it was hard enough to withstand the attack without breaking. Boo! A beam of energy shot out of his chest crystal at Jason as the two swords clashed. It was about 3 Gigawatts of energy (about .3 away from being three times as strong as a lightning bolt).

***

Shane was making progress. He had acquired very little to no actual wounds but had steadily been dispatching a swathe through the enemy. At first he had tried to keep near Faolin but he had lost him some time ago. Now Shane simply inched forward through ranks of abominations. He did not quite cut a swathe of destruction with multiple area-consuming magic but rather he killed abominations at a healthy, steady rate thinning their numbers as he went about his surgical work.

He had managed to defend himself from Jasons attack by forming an orb of solid water around him. He had came away from that attack rather unscathed and continued his work.

***

Shilack did cut swathes through the enemy however tendrils of fire swept across the battlefield harmlessly passing through friend only to rain upon foe. He had decided to let Achilles handle Shalor. After all the cocky bastard could handle him.

He had dodged and dived away from the petals but one had managed to blow up just close enough to his ear to take away not only a bit of his earlobe but the enchanted earing too.

Brunnex was strong, stronger even than Faolin perhaps, but as he had not taken the chance to bulk himself up pre-block there was no chance that he could have fully endured a full on downward swing from Otaru with Jason's monstrous strength behind it. The sword itself was precisely one hundred tonnes in weight, add to that Jason's strength behind it, and the sheer force of gravity pulling the heavy object down, when all that added up what you got was a practically unblockable cut, no matter the durability of the shield.

Brunnex's sword was indeed strong enough however to endure the strike without breaking, rather it was his entire arm that was knocked aside as if it were a wet noodle, his entire body turned downwards as his arm was pushed down by Otaru, and as such when he fired his blast it was directed at the ground and not actually at Jason.

Brunnex's failed attempt at blocking slowed Otaru down just enough that Faolin regained enough self awareness to barrel roll to the right, struggling back to his feet still somewhat out of it.

The second Faolin moved Jason stopped Otaru falling downwards and began lifting back up in a perfect vertical line, showing once more his impressive strength, whilst at the same time pushed backwards and away from Brunnex before he could recover.

"Must you provoke a more bloody death, it is such a vain plight...Very well." Jason said, clearly in control of his emotions as Lyacoon had also been, and with a great air of sorrow around him.

Raising his open left hand Jason summoned, and thus filled the air around him with, quite a few dozen pink petals. They floated there on a phantom air current, ever so slightly blowing in the none existent breeze and yet never moving an inch. Jason was now surrounded by the petals, but they were nowhere near large enough in number to hide even a small portion of his body.

*Tourivil the mangled elf took a moment to size up the situation. He had not bounded into the fray as brunnex had, instead choosing to stay back. This Jason fellow seemed powerful, but Tourivil was unimpressed. Regardless, he would need power. He knew just where to get such a thing. A series of snakelike tentacles burst from the Duke's back, as he crouched down. He shot up, and in an impressive leap, landed in midst of the undead horde. He began to giggle madly as the tentacles on his back sprouted rather large, hollow spikes on their tips. Seemingly with a mind of their own, they sought out the necks of the undead soldier's spearing them, lifting them in the air, and draining them dry.

The mad giggle turned into a maniacal cackle as Tourivil watch the veins in his hands swell, bulge, and pulsate with the corrupted blood of the undead warriors. Some of them attempted to get away from his back, or attack Tourivil from the front. The first one that came charged at him, and he simple reached out and tapped him on the head. Instantly, the change came as the thing's primitive mind was overwhelmed by the rapidly charging blood mage's mental powers. It turned and fought its fellow undead, striking them down as they approached its new master. By the time it was overwhelmed and killed by its own, it was too late. Tourivil was too powerful by them. The veins in his neck stood out like taunt ropes, and his entire body seemed to vibrating. With a toothy grin, he made a quick sign in the air with his off hand, and there was a noise not unlike a speaker overloading. A ring of blood shot from his midsection, and simply destroyed every undead within fifty feet of him. They were simply there one moment, and a paste the next. Satisfied by this result, he turned his attention to Jason, Lifting himself up on his tentacles, which put his body perhaps ten feet in the air, and he made another hand sign.

Thus it was that several things flew at Jason. A beam of blood, direct from the forehead of Tourivil was perhaps the main one. It was most likely designed to penetrate the skin of Jason, and corrupt his insides. This was not all though, from the hands of Tourivil came two slow moving spheres of a light emiting liquid. These were aimed on a slow lob for Jason, and were most likely some form of mental attack. *

Faolin held out his right hand the moment he was back on his feet, his sword threw through the air and into his waiting palm, not a moment later Faolin was half leaping half flying through the air towards Jason. He sensed Tourivil's movement into the crowd of abominations, and he knew that he would most likely be gathering strength right now and would need some time to do so, he would make that time. He would also get Jason back for that last hit, Gods be damned.

Jason raised his chin ever so slightly, a half dozen of the petals at either side of him shot forward like darts towards Faolin, it was evident that he planned to explode them when they were within range.

Faolin didn't let them get within range, opening his mouth mid-stride he shot a thin spout of flames from his gullet that engulfed and incinerated the petals before they had a chance to be ignited. He was swinging for Jason's head before the boy had another chance to try to stop him, all the strength of his right arm was behind the swing, and he was preparing another dousing of fire as a follow up.

Jason moved Otaru through the air as if it were no heavier than a blade of grass, and blocked Faolin's strike with the same amount of visible effort. Even in his fused form Faolin wasn't half as strong as Jason, nor was he as fast even though his sword was less than half the size and only a tiny fraction of the weight of Jason's, in sheer physical prowess they were leagues apart to say the least.

Faolin opened his slightly snout like mouth, flames began to crawl up the back of his throat but before he could release them Jason moved forward and punched him in the stomach, causing him to double over and close his mouth. The flame did not stop forming in his mouth however, but because his mouth was closed the only thing that happened was the inside of his mouth was seared somewhat and a thin line of grey smoke came out from between his lips as the fire died away still within his body.

Jason brought Otaru around for a slice on the crippled Faolin, but Faolin blew himself out of range with a single swipe of his wings, and it was that moment that Tourivil appeared and launched his attacks.

Jason stopped Otaru's impressive momentum dead in it's tracks, placing the sword on his shoulder for only an instant he lifted it high, and then stabbed it into the ground before him, with the impressively thick flat of the sword in front of him. Even with several inches sheathed into the ground the bottom of Otaru's blade came up to just below his chest, and the handle extended to his chin. Bending at the knee Jason simply placed the blade between himself and the attack, knowing that Otaru would not be broken easily, but not relying solely on that for defense.

The petals that still floated in the air shot forward in unison, at least thirty of them at once, and when the first of them reached the incoming blood attack it exploded, as did the next four. The rest continued on towards Tourivil, uncaring of what affect their sibling-petals had had on Jason...

(Battle changing post ftw!)

Balthazaar was impressed by both Mason's arcane knowledge, and by his sheer magical reserves, which were doing a damn good of standing toe to toe with Balthazaar's on both fronts. Balthazaar had actually begun to wonder if Mason were truly a fully fledged mortal, all things considered it just didn't seem very likely at all. After all he was as magically powerful as any Demon Balthazaar had ever met, just as magically versed as spirits thousands of years his elder, and carried himself like one far above the station of mere mortal. If they weren't trying to obliterate each other Balthazaar would have liked to ask him just how he became so powerful within a mortal lifespan.

So far in their battle both Balthazaar and Mason had used enough magic to raise a continent from the ocean and give it distinct shape and form, as well as a few dozen life forms of less than human intricacy, and neither was even halfway down their pools of magic yet. Whenever one tried to destroy their opponent with some sort of uber-powerful attack the other would simply raise a shield of similar power, or sling a spell of countering force and shield themselves from the fallout of the colliding forces.

It was madly frustrating, and yet incredibly satisfying, for Balthazaar since he hadn't had to fight this hard since his bout with the ex-God of death Thanatos, and before that it had been centuries longer. To think that Sazh had killed Mason so easily was a little disheartening for Balthazaar, but he also knew that Sazh had taken Mason off guard and used one of his most powerful hidden techniques to land one killing blow before Mason could get a chance to fight back.

Balthazaar was floating high above the scorched and broken earth, his right hand outstretched as a beam of pure purple energy shot from it in a straight line, colliding with a similar beam of blue energy being fired by his opponent some distance away, whilst his left hand was charging a sphere of blinding white magic to be thrown as a secondary attack. The beam would have been powerful enough to eradicate all but the very, very hardest materials for miles upon end, or cause an explosion large enough to level about a quarter of Sardo in the one go, but Mason's was of equal power and as such the two beams simply pushed back and forth as each of their masters poured more and more magic into them to increase their power. The magical ball in Balthazaar's offhand was immensely concentrated and compressed, so much so that the air around it was heavily foggy and distorted and if Balthazaar wasn't as skillful as he was at this spell then he would have lost control of it long ago and the resulting explosion would have put Brun's supernova to shame.

Mason fired his blue beam of magic from the head of his wooden staff, which he held with his right hand with a scowl on his severely concentrating face and beads of sweat running down his head. His left hand was free but he was not using it for anything, rather he was waiting for when Balthazaar tried something sneaky, so that he would have a free hand to defend against the second threat.

When the magical ball was charged to the point where he could not compress it's size into that of a tennis ball any longer without risking opening some sort of wormhole, Balthazaar launched it with all his might towards Mason, pulled his right hand away and breaking the stream of his energy beam as he done so, he would need both hands if he hoped to avoid being badly wounded in the explosion that was to come.

Bringing both arms up and placing his forearms together over his face it looked as if Balthazaar were taking some sort of overemphasized boxing stance, when really he had just created an invisible barrier in front of himself strong enough to block a stray bolt from the masterbolt if necessary.

Seeing the flying ball of magic hurtling towards him Mason thought fast and acted to stop it before he was taken out of the fight, if the ball exploded then it would take a great deal of strength to save himself, greater than simply stopping the ball. Ceasing to fire his beam only moments after Balthazaar, Mason took hold of his staff with his free hand and raised the stick of wood high into the air, at the same time yelling; "Shalibi Noyirs Nibyea!" His entire staff turned a blinding white for an instant, and then the light shot outwards in all directions as the spell took form.

It was, quite obviously, an immensely complicated and hugely draining magical act that Mason had just performed, but Balthazaar didn't realize just how amazing a spell it was until it was too late to save his little ball of magic from being erased before it hit it's mark. He knew the words that Mason spoke, and he also knew that such a combination of words in the old language had never been used before in the history of his knowledge, and as such he could only marvel at Mason's ability to create such an immensely powerful incantation on his own, most likely on the spot right now.

As the blinding white light passed through the air it left behind the affects of Mason's spell, the winds of magical change were strong to say the least.

At first it looked as if the air were being filled by a thin pink mist, but within nanoseconds of the light touching a spot of air said air was thick and heavy with not mist, but a crystalline material of a pinkish-red hue. The crystals were formed out of the chemicals in the air being transmuted into a substance far more durable than even diamond, and denser than any material known to man, and it grew outwards as it came into contact with more and more air, using it as a source to increase it's mass. When the light had passed harmlessly through the ball of magical energy the ball froze in it's place as the air around it began to harden and take shape, and so too did the ball itself.

The process was as slow as it was complicated, but from the centre of the ball of blinding white magic was born a tiny light of purple crystal, which steadily grew outwards as it converted the huge mass of magic into more and more crystal. By the time it had done its work entirely the ball was gone and replaced by crystal, just as the air around it was now crystal, and all the air for quite a distance actually.

The creeping crystal was making it's way towards Balthazaar quite quickly actually, and he knew that if he allowed it then it would swallow him whole and he too would become a part of it's structure. Turning his hands around and lowering them slightly, whilst extending his arms, Balthazaar cupped his hands together and chanted; "Jithza Hakish Mo Sa Lerwa Mi Joma!"

The world around Balthazaar began to fade and blur as his spell took affect, and he visibly shuddered at the immense drain on his magic...

-

Fenrir slashed the ankle from under the last abomination separating him and his brother, at the same time Auron beheaded a Scorpionman who was blocking his path, the two had locked eyes and neither even seemed to notice as they cut their foe down. Fenrir's wounds were healed pretty well, and yet his heart was pounding as if he bore a thousand cuts. His armour weighed a thousand tonnes and his sword twice as much, yet he marched onwards towards his brother, knowing that it was his duty to take Auron down before he killed any more innocents.

Auron walked with a hop in his step, smiling madly as he approached his brother still armed with Tamesaka and Iza. His eyes were fixated on his brother's, and vice versa, but Auron's still held a glimmer of maniacal insanity to them even when they were focused on a single spot. There was just something off about the eyes, even surrounded by carnage and death they seemed to find something humorous about the world, and all the while they were taunting and jeering eyes that just seemed to scream at you to attack him.

When the brother's were only several feet apart both launched forward, Auron swinging Iza from one way and Tamesaka from the other, Fenrir changing his sword into a polearm just in time to cross-block both swings. For a handful of seconds after the initial collision the brother's weapons stayed locked, so too did their eyes which were now only a foot apart at most, in unison the brother's exploded apart with motion and then seemingly in the same instant they were locked once more in a power struggle. This struggle lasted a little longer than the last, but when it's time was done so too was the time for displays of power, both Fenrir and Auron began swinging and dancing, stabbing and flaring, slicing and flipping and just about every other form of attacking and movement imaginable as each tried to land a strike on the other.

Fenrir knew full well that he was partially immune to Iza's poison, so he need not fear a one hit kill from it's edge, but he also knew that if it touched him he wouldn't be able to defend himself for quite a while. The other sword he wasn't quite sure about, it was either the sword that drained magic on touch or the one that had an extendable reach but he wasn't quite sure which one yet. He didn't know which he would rather, both sounded deadly but if forced to chose he'd probably rather face the magic-sucker, at least he could still make fair attempts at dodging it.

Bringing one end of his polearm down like an anvil Fenrir forced Auron to step backwards, then before Auron could think twice Fenrir swing his weapon around and planted a solid hit on his brother's right bicep, causing Auron to howl in pain and drop Tamesaka, in an instant the polearm was swinging around once again to crack at least one of Auron's left ribs, driving the Demigod to his arse with the same strike, like some sort of demonic windmill the polearm was spun 180 degrees again and it this time it was was aimed for the centre of Auron's chest with enough force to easily break bone.

Seeming to move on instinct Auron fired three shadow snakes from his right sleeve, winching as he raised his arm to do so. The snakes coiled around each other as they extended from the sleeve towards Fenrir, then at the last second they changed course and wrapped around his polearm as it swung down, in an attempt to slow or stop it's descent.

Without missing a beat or slowing at all Fenrir's polearm chirped to life as huge waves of electricity began visibly coursing along it's surface, the shadow snakes gave one unified shriek of pain and then com-busted into black smoke. Fenrir's lightning coated Polearm found it's mark between near the top of the centre of Auron's ribcage, nigh-splitting the entire structure of Auron's chest in half upon impact...

Toun was doomed to lose this battle, he had known that from the very beginning but he had soldiered on in the vain hope that Jet would have been able to somehow control himself enough to hold back some of his power. That hope had been shattered and crushed dozens of spells ago, along with any chance Toun had really had of winning against Jet's superior combat magic.

His right arm was currently half a stump, or rather half a regenerating stump of oozing green puss and bubbling and bulbous flesh. Jet had seared it off with a spell Toun could barely follow, and that was not the only wound Toun had received during the battle, nor would it be the one that done him in.

He had done Jet damage also, the fight was not entirely one sided after all, but Jet was on top as far as limb count went right now. He carried one of his swords in his right hand, whilst his left was being used to throw spell after brutal spell, each one lighting the sky in a horrific flash of titanic strength. He wasn't holding back at all, and frankly any one weaker than Toun would have had their bodies eradicated from sheer over-exposure to magic long ago, never mind the actual spells themselves.

Not even waiting for his arm to regrow Toun raised his left hand up and clicked with some flamboyance towards Jet, creating a raven the size of a small truck made entirely of a green fire, and as his hand came back around he clenched his fist and caused the air around Jet to rapidly cool at such a pace that the moisture in the air would solidify almost instantly into solid ice.

-

Jet whirled his sword around in a circle overhead, it's edge covered in thin trail of fire, and let out a countering wave of pure heat to keep the air around him from cooling. At the same time he raised his free index finger up and pointed it at the flaming raven that flew with supernatural speed towards him, causing it to explode in a fabulous mixture of green and blue colors long before it reached him, still spinning his sword overhead all the while.

When the raven was gone Jet spun his sword one more time, and then slashed the down through the air in front of him, the fire from the edge of his sword flaring outwards in a wild vertical slash of searing heat. The shockwave of flames shot towards Toun faster than the mortal could follow, and with enough force to cut him clean in half, and cauterize and seal the flesh as it done so.

-

Toun didn't seem to care at all that he shouldn't have been able to track the attack, never mind stop it. Making a quick cutting action with his good hand Toun cut the fire-wave in half near the centre, stopping it's warpath dead in it's tracks. As the wrist on his new right arm began to become clear and defined he held it up towards Jet and tensed his entire body as he forced it to take another shape entirely than what his body had in mind.

The flesh seemed to resist his will for a moment, seeming not to want to take such an unnatural form as it's master bid, and yet after some more magical input from Toun it done as it was told and began to create a small hollow where the hand should have begun to sprout. The hollow quickly formed all along Toun's arm, and the flesh at the end of his wrist began to mold and shape, forming a sort of fleshy-cannon opening with a vicious black centre.

Toun grabbed the forearm of his newly formed cannon-arm with his left hand and hunched his shoulders as he began concentrating his magic into the arm. It was a monstrous technique to use, his arm would most likely never be able to become as it once was because of the sheer bizarre reconstruction he had been forced to do so hastily, but frankly he was running out of options and he would be darn happy if he lived to regret messing up his arm. He was running out of magic also, but he could sense that Jet wasn't doing too well either, by their standards anyway, so he wasn't quite on the quitting wagon yet, not whilst he still stood a chance of taking Jet down with him.

The lively green of Toun's fishlike scales seemed to darken and grow sickly as he poured more and more magic into the air, the opening of which was now beginning to glow a brighter and brighter shade of yellow. Threllos were creatures of magic, they were actually created from the stuff, and Toun was beginning to scrape the bottom of his magical barrel and was starting to run on sheer life energy as far as charging for this attack when. Doing so was immensely dangerous, especially to a Threllos, but it did mean that he could gather just that little bit more of magic, and that might well make the difference.

-

Seeing his former ally preparing one last attack Jet seemed to do the same, taking hold of his sword with both hands he crouched in on himself and pulled the sword backwards so that it was in line with his hips, but the blade was pointing backwards and thus away from Toun. Without so much as a second's pause the edge of Jet's blade erupted, exploding apart it became a coursing fiery blue concentration of pure magic that grew and grew in size as he fed it more and more of his remaining magic.

-

To those gathered below the magical levels above were mindblowing, headache inducing even. The air on the ground was beginning to literally heat up now, taking on the half-forgotten heat of the sands around Unu'keth. The ground began to crack in places, though only ever so slightly so, and the air became noticeably thicker and heavier, making breathing all that much harder on the battlefield.

-

Toun's vision blurred and wavered, actually failing entirely for the briefest of seconds, and when it returned he knew that he was at his limit for charging magic. His right arm felt as if it were about to swell up and burst, Toun had never concentrated so much magic at once in such a manner before, in a way he was proud that he had managed such a thing, and yet he was ultimately sad that he was firing this at a man he had once considered a friend, perhaps a best friend.

Squaring his shoulders Toun stared down the length of his right arm as if it were the barrel of some obscenely shaped gun, aiming at Jet's centre mass he gritted his teeth and took one final breath before forcing all of the magic stored inside of right arm forwards and out of the opening in the form of a pure burst of magical energy...

-

Lao stared, dumbstruck, at the sea of multicolored energy spreading across the thunderstruck sky at lightning speeds. It was like watching a waterfall break open the final rock halting it's path, or like watching a river met with the sea for the first time, and to even try and describe what Lao's magical sensors were picking up would be like trying to describe color to a blind man.

When the second eruption of magic echoed through the sky from the opposite direction Lao was sure he was about to lose his mind, trying to keep track of that amount of magic at once was as overpowering to his mind as any blinding light or deafening noise.

He was unsure what happened exactly, but when the sea of rainbow magic met the thousand foot tall blue flames there was a moment of complete silence as all sound, motion and color were drained from the world, then both forces were sucked into a single spot and vanished from existence, a moment later sense experience exploded back into the world accompanied by a world-shaking boom...

-

"Toun no, Toun..TOUN!" Sir Tillion leaped to his feet, pounding the table with both hands as he felt Toun's magical presence vanish entirely, and felt too his mental connection shatter abruptly. He knew what the signs meant, but he was too shocked, too angry, to accept it. Toun was too strong to be killed, he was the strongest man the King had on his side, apart from Balthazaar of course, but goddammit he was the strongest mortal still alive today by Tillion's reckoning! Except...He wasn't alive anymore, these necromantic bastards had seen to that, as much as it pained Tillion to admit it..

Sitting back in his chair Sir Tillion opened the mental channel to the counterguard; "Men To..Toun is dead, I need reports on the condition of Jet ASAP, did Toun take him down with him or not!?"

Fenrir was shaken by what had just taken place in the now tranquil sky, even the thunderstorm seemed to shocked to return after that. Dawn was shining through now(I think the battle is taking place around that time.) in it's full color, and the battlefield was given a new horrible brilliance by it's radiance.

So too was the duo standing before him, one looking far more ragged than the other, though not by much.

Auron stood, clutching his chest with his right hand whilst his left clung to Iza still. He was panting heavily as his magic worked to fix the damage his brother had caused, yet he was smiling at the same time, mostly towards his ally whom had appeared just in time to wrench Auron away from Fenrir before the demigod could damage his brother beyond the point of magical healing, or at least basic magical healing.

Fenrir had never actually seen the fallen before in life, but he knew the man's legend well enough, and had sensed his airborne battle to backup his legend, to realize that the bruised and broken looking Threllos standing before him was none other than Jet.

Jet looked as if he had gone a few rounds with a Titan, the right side of his face was burned and crisped overly almost entirely, his right arm was gone entirely and the pulsating wound where his shoulderblade once was was visible along with the rest of his broken and crippled chest. His left eye was half-closed and what parts of his body weren't missing were warped and crippled looking, his breaths came in shaky, rasping gasps. Yet, as a testament to Jet's endurance, he stood as adamant as ever. His own sword was nowhere to be seen, but in his left hand he held Tamesaka as if it were the most important thing in the world, and there was a strange blue aura around that blade that pulsated slowly but steadily.

To those able to sense magic, and that were close enough or keeping an eye on this area of the field, Jet could barely be recognized as himself due to the small amount of magic he currently held. Small by Jet standards mind you, if normal terms he could still go toe-to-toe with a half decent mage or two. what they would also be able to sense was that he was gaining magic at an unnatural speed, and the pace didn't appear to be slowing. With every passing second he was becoming stronger, and his threat level was rising...

(Just to keep you all in the loop your current enemy list is: Jason, Jet, Shalor, Auron.

Jason is currently engaged with Faolin, Brunnex and Tourivil.
Jet is currently engaged with Fenrir.
Auron is currently engaged with Fenrir.
Shalor is currently engaged with Fenrir.

Anyone who is not currently fighting one of the four mentioned above better get their asses in gear, the side of Sardo is winning the numbers game but by the Gods they're not looking good on the power front at the moment.)

*The petals which soared towards Tourivil were burned to a crisp in a moment, and Tourivil's next attack soared past, through, over, and around them. Tourivil was projecting a massive pyramid made of blood at Jason. The tip of the pyramid began at his palm, while the base expanded and shot at Jason. The farther it had to fly, the bigger it would become, and the more unpleasant it would be to get hit by. For ever meter of distance it traveled, it's base became about 30cm larger. *

Jason planned on simply remaining behind Otaru, entirely confident that it would block the triangular blood based attack. His plans went awry however when Faolin appeared in the air above and in front of Jason, took one gasp of air and then spewed a fountain of flame down towards the man from the opposite direction in which the blood pyramid was coming from.

Being forced to move from his hiding spot lest he be cooked alive Jason half-rolled half-leaped out of the way out the flamethrower, breaking into a dead sprint forward. It took him only seconds to reach a crowd of abominations, and after only one line of them he was amidst a clash of abominations and desertfolk. If the attack continued to track him into the crowd it would start hitting friendlies, but Jason wasn't happy with just that as his shield.

Grabbing one unfortunate Desertman by the throat Jason knocked his weapon from his hand, then using only the strength in one of his hands he tossed the man as if he were a child straight towards Faolin. By sheer instinct, and folly, Faolin began to move towards the man to catch him before he fell, and realized too late what Jason had planned. When Faolin was only a half dozen feet away from the man Jason blew his projectile up, and he had enough mass to make the explosion large enough that it hit Faolin.

Before his first explosion had even cleared Jason had lobbed a second, and in fact a third, Desertman towards Tourivil with the intent to do exactly as he had done with the first to them. All the while he was backpeddaling through the crowd, trying to keep a fair distance between himself and the pyramid of blood.

*When the pyramid of blood hit Otaru the blade was almost entirely unaffected by it's presence, that being said the only effect the blood had on the blade was that the few kinks and scratches Otaru had picked up vanished entirely as the blade seemed to heal itself.*

"I have gotta say Fenrir, good going with that little stick of yours. Managing to get that good a hit on me is quite the feat for you." Auron said with a grin as he stopped clutching his chest, his magic having healed the wound over. He cast a single glance towards Tamesaka, which was in Jet's hands, and then focused his smiling eyes back on Fenrir; "Now that my friend Jet is here though I'm afraid that you don't stand much of a chance alone, and all your friends seem quite busy at the moment don't they? What a shame, I guess you're just not worth saving."

Jet brought Tamesaka up in a violent arc through the air, creating a rippling wave of energy that tore it's way through the air towards Fenrir. Strangely enough Jet did not follow the attack up at all, but simply watched as Fenrir shot to the side and charged him and his master with a face as calm as a still lake.

"Jet, do me a favor and play with my brother will you?" Auron asked with notable glee in his voice, and it was clear what he meant by 'play'.

There was a moment where Jet did not react at all, then his left eye twinged slightly and his neck convulsed as he seemed to feel a tingle of some sort of pain. Opening his half-ravaged mouth Jet replied in a half-growl; "Eat shit boy." Yet a moment later he raised his sword and charged.

Auron giggled at Jet's comment, knowing full well that Jet had just regained his consciousness because he had intentionally weakened the spell binding him. He was no longer strong enough to be a major worry about breaking the spell, and now that his friend was dead there was more of a chance of him causing strife on the battlefield with his feelings of sorrow and remorse. And as an added bonus Auron really did enjoy some verbal sparring from time to time, no matter how gruff the opposition.

That was roughly the time that several things happened. Firstly the ground beneath Faolin erupted, sending chuncks of earth into the path of the desertman bombs, with the sheer force would send Faolin up high.

Next, the earth beneath Jet, between his legs to be exact, split and allowed a blade-like stream of pure heat to shoot up like a volcano. Jasper then appeared behind Jet, his blade on a downward strike. His face was one of pure rage.

He hadn't even wanted to be at this battle, but he was her for the king, and him not being involved might have lead to Touns death, so here he was, rectifying that mistake.
