"But alas, we can not know the mind of the king." John said, before turning to watch Tourivil fight. It was easily the hardest fight so far, having multiple opponents to deal with. He watched as thin strands of creeped up the dagger from the hell hound. "Well I'll be. I haven't seen magic like that in over twenty years. That reminds me, you ever been to that desert man village Leaf. They have some good trades over there."

John was,of course talking about a trade he had done over fifteen years ago, when he had gone to Stranges grave to pay respects. That he never personally knew the man mattered little. "Now the question is, who's next?"

He watched the round with Tourivil. Interesting. He never in his short life had seen such Magic. Pretty intersting, lucky he isn't the one fighting him. He paid back his attention toward John.

" I hardly travel, my job is to stay in the throne room and protect the castle, the King maybe even the Capital of Sardo itself. i have never tasted freedom in the last twenty years." He responded to old man who asked if he had ever been to some desert village.

Since when did Sardo have a desert? There are people trading with desert people ? Leaf feels alittle guilty about not travelling the country anymore, but once he gets his freedom he'll get away from thar blasted capitol with his family and live on in some other place in peace or atleast satisfaction.

" This tournement making you exited ?" LEaf smiled.

" You want to go next ?"

"Freedom tastes great, does it not?" He replied, his face and his voice seeming distant. "But yes, there is a small part of the desert next to a forest. It housed men and women who came from the desert. I shall say no more. These walls have ears."

He readied himself. "That is up to the King, dear Leaf. While I don't get excited anymore, I would like to go next."

" Heh heh," The black man smiled, his teeth were so white it is as if he had tasted the moon and gained it's light. The manstod up from his bench, placed his sword back on the sides of his belt and stretched with both of his arms upward and turning his neck around in a circle, making a series of popping sounds. He felt a great sense of 'pleasure' on his spine and had his muscles feeling all good.

" I damit I am ready for a ight, but." he paused. making sure that the King's spies were not paying attention to him. o course they were, but then again he could see them.

" I don'T want to be the next one."

The beasts bodies disappeared as dust. The crowd cheered, not even the use of blood magic could scare away their excitement.

"Nice one Tourvil, next blue team fighter; Brunnex!!!" The king seemed to truly think the Elf's name was Tourvil and not Tourivil.

Shalor did not watch the fight. Indeed he had not truly been watching any of the fights but meditating in the waiting chambers. However now he had heard the announcement for Tourivil's turn he exited. He had been assured it was his turn to fight next...

Brunnex smiled leaning off the wall. “Finally.” He said. “Be a good boy now, Shang.” He told his young charge and descended on the iron gates into the vast arena. He smiled as he saw the great stone statue of a dragon above the 'red' team's gate and below the royal viewing platform that had once been 'Brom's'.

That day, as Brun ascended, he infinitely changed all fibres of himself. He was no longer Brun so when the universe threw him back together they also threw Brunnex back together but as Brun before ascension. Their was little change to Brunnex essentially. Hades was dead therefore he could not be a demigod. Draconic magic is infinitely more different to just throw around than molecules therefore Izallia ended up bonded with Brun again. All he got was a small (what was left after that Supernova attack) amount of extra magic and new memories. All those ones he had 'missed' so to speak.

So there Brunnex was one of the, if not the, only surviving member/s of the mortal plane who knew who had truly created the Area and why they had found the statue of a dragon 'missing'. Brunnex looked over the Arena and could see the original structure clearly and make out all that had been added to it which was, in fairness, not much.

He stood forward and cracked his neck shuffling around checking the mobility of the other parts f his body. He smiled. Everything worked and no-one could defeat him. Especially in his very favourite Gi...

***

The iron gate of the 'red' team opened revealing what appeared to be an old wan with a very big hump. The old man was dressed in a large brown hooded robe draped over his entire body. His head was bent down with the hood over it concealing it. He hobbled in like an old man with a humped back should.

Brunnex stared amazed as the iron gate shut behind the old man. His mouth hung open genuinely shocked. He looked up at the King who, upon noticing the look, nodded his head affirming that this old man was truly his opponent.

Brunnex shrugged and bent forward moving with imperceivable speed faster than most eyes could follow he was behind the old man. Bone grew out of his wrist over his hand and formed into a leaf blade with finely serrated edges and struck forward smashing through the hump and straight into the cold. Cold? The thought was ridiculous. He looked down and saw smashed wood. What the hell? With his other hand he whipped the robes off to reveal a wooden gourd strapped to the back of a hunched over ferrock.

Brunnex tried to pull his hand back but something held it firmly in place. That was when he felt the pain; the senseless burning pain. “Aaaaaah!” He cried out in agony as the ferrock ran out from underneath the gourd which seemed to stay in place of it's own accord.

The ferrock, AKA Shalor, smiled as Brunnex roared in pain. “Feel the curse; your punishment for your crimes against the Lord of Atlantis!” Shalor cried.

Brunnex stumbled backward his hand coming out of the gourd to reveal the substance causing him so much pain. A blue snake appeared to have curled itself around Brunnex' arm and was slowly curling it's way up Brunnex' arm. Small blue sparks constantly fizzled around his arm as it repaired itself from continual damage. The snake's tail had not formed yet however as the snake ended in a pool of the blue liquid it was made of.

Brunnex ' face spoke of true, undying rage. “Fool!” He cried and his arm simply dropped off.. With his other hand he made the arm, and water, simply disappear. He turned to look at Shalor expectantly. “I can grow that back.” Brunnex said nonchalantly as sparks burst out of his arm socket. An arm grew from there in a matter of moments so quick that one did not even get to see the bone and muscle as it formed only the skin grow from shoulder to finger.

Shalor was dressed in a simple cloth t-shirt and trouser. By his side was an empty sword sheathe. The long tempered steel of a majestic blade glinted in the sunlight as Shalor held it firm with both hands. His face was determined and hid his unease. The water was meant to work. He had not actually expected to fight and was unsure if he could actually win this battle but it was not his to doubt. He did this for Sardo; he did this for the people.

He rushed forward sword in hand to his opponent and fell forward mid-step. Brunnex stood with a finger pointed where Shalor had been. If anyone were to turn Shalor over they would find a bloodied hole in his forehead not unlike a bullet hole. If someone were to open up his head they would find a bone lodged in Shalor's brain the size and shape of a ten millimetre bullet.

Brunnex turned and left. His face was dark and his brow furrowed in anger. He wordlessly returned to the viewing box.

“What was up, Uncle?” Shang asked him as soon as he returned. The boy looked confused. “I thought ferrock's didn't use magic.”

“Wasn't magic.” Brunnex answered shortly and dismissively and took a seat on the box to brood darkly.

Shang took the hint and returned to his spot by the rails slightly perturbed but eager to see the next fight...

*Tourivil looked disappointed. He sat on the floor of the waiting room, back against a wall. He was not watching the fight, instead turning the hellhound's tooth over and over between his fingers. He was disappointed by the fact that he was in an arena, and skinning the hellhound would have been most irregular. He had only been able to nab a tooth. The skin of a hellhound would have made an excellent cloak, or the start of a new robe. With a sigh, he pocketed the tooth, and set about cleaning his short sword...*

The king looked slightly confused, as did the crowd. They didn't truly understand what had just happened. Er're's match was quicker sure but at least it made logical sense.

The king shook his head and then stood once more; "I shall have to up the game for this team won't I?"

Sin smiled to himself, he now appeared to be playing with six small interlocking rings, his father was kind enough to provide him with many trinkets and puzzles to play with. He liked trinkets and puzzles.

The king seemed to think for a moment before speaking; "I...Can't recall the man's name which I dislike but..." That he murmured, the rest he shouted the the crowd; "Will the large, cloaked contestant come to the arena please!"

---

Said cloaked person nodded to himself and silently walked down into the arena just as Shalor's corpse turned to ash.

The cloaked man's walk revealed nothing, at all. It was totally generic, no sway or swagger nor a bounce. His posture was perfectly straight giving no clues to exactly what lay under those dark clothes or the mask. Though standing at 7 feet 6 inches tall and with the bulk to match the robes clearly hid the body of an Ork, or so it would appear at least.

He did not draw his blade but rather simply stood waiting for his opponent to appear. When he heard the first high pitch roar even his seemingly stalwart frame seemed shaken, whatever it was they weren't human.

Then the gates rose, and two grey beasts flew from the gate into the sky. A bright blue barrier flashed to life around the crowd, forming a shield for them but also a full dome covering the arena to stop the flying beasts from escaping. A point they soon realised when they flew into the dome and rebounded, they attempted to again but the same result happened. So they bathed the dome in flame.....

The cloaked figure watched the two dragonlings with his unseeable eyes. Whoever he was he seemed to regain he composure quickly enough even when faced with beasts as dead;y as dragonlings. His hand seemed to inch towards his sword, then he seemed to think better of it.

The man's attention was grabbed when a rather large Ork ran from, the enemy gate, with what appeared to be a long weighted chain with a blade on one end. It seemed this was too be even harder than he had thought it.

Er're's interest was piqued. He nodded to the Orc; “It seems we have annoyed our host. This should be quick.” His attention moved towards the fight.

Lao rushed to the edge of the waiting area; “He'll be killed!”

Jong Jong came over slowly; “Perhaps not. We can only wait and see, it appears that the king has grown tired of our victory though. Even the elf's round was easier than this one...”

The cloaked man made no move as the Ork approached swinging his chair around with a sick glee clear in his face. The chain loosened in the Ork's hand as he let more of it free from his other hand which held the extra chain still, it flew through the air towards the man.

The man raised his arm to block the attack, the chain whacked his arm and spun around twice. It should have broken his arm, it should have staggered him, it did not.

Not missing a beat the man yanked on the chain, pulling the Ork off balance and towards him. The Ork did indeed fumble and loose his footing, he fell directly into the iron grip of the cloaked man.

The Ork attempted to scream, then his throat was crushed and he was tossed aside like a rag. The man picked up his chain, his face going to the sky to see the two swirling dragonlings above.

Lao pumped his fist; “Nice! Now for the hard bit though.”

Er're's eyes narrowed;”That one feels...Strange...Very...Strange.”

The cloaked man began to swing the chain around quicker and quicker, then rather oddly one of the dragonlings seemed to gain sudden interest him. It flew lower, nose diving towards the large Ork whom stared it down, not cowering at all.

At the last moment the dragonling screamed and pulled up, it took a deep breath as it flew above the Ork and was about to breath fire upon him when a most unexpected thing happened, a chain spun around its neck and was pulled so tightly afterwards that it was snapped instantly. A single shriek escaped the dragonling ant then it fell to the ground narrowly missing the Ork whom dropped his chain.

The second dragonling, seeing is fallen brethren roared with anger and flew with great intent towards the Ork. It seemed to have learned from its siblings mistake, taking an in-breath before coming within range of the Ork meant that it could not be stopped, a small torrent of flame escaped the dragonlings mouth, it had probably only recently been able to use this fire and couldn't hold it for long nor produce very much of it per burst. Still, a fire breathing dragon is a fire breathing dragon.

The Ork rolled out of the way with reflexes not befitting his large size, when the fire stopped and the dragon began pulling up and away from him he drew his blade, stepped forwards and threw it like a javelin. The sword flew through the air like a steel dart, finding its mark in the dragon's right chest. The beast roared in agony, then its wings gave up and it fell to the floor. It flopped widely, and squirmed as it roared in pain trying to dislodge the blade, but alas it only pushed the blade deeper and made the blade pierce its target. The dragon's heart.

The dragonling died, the Ork collected his blade from the beast and calmly left the arena whilst sheathing his blade. Few men could attest that they had bested a dragonling in combat, fewer could say they had beaten two. Even fewer could say with confidence that they knew that a dragon's heart lay not on the left side of the chest, but on the right. This fighter was more than he appeared.

The barrier fell and the full brunt of the crowd's roar hit the viewing area like a sonicboom. Many were now standing and jumping around in a hot rush. Their voices were wavering under the sheer volume with which they attempted to scream; “MORE! MORE MORE! MOOOOORE!”

The king smiled, he was clearly rather annoyed at another lose but clear surprise was also evident on his face;” Perhaps I shouldn't have done this tournament, this blue team is giving me a run for my money!” He laughed loudly; “Next challenger, Shang!”

The cloaked stranger reappeared in the box and simply retook his position. Er're was smiling; “Interesting....Fascinating actually...” This 'Ork' was something else, Er're would have to pay much closer attention to him in the future.”

Lao nodded towards the Ork; “Nice fight, I thought you were done for.”

The Ork did not reply at all, simply leaned against the wall waiting for the next fight to start.

Persephone was silent as Colt narrowed his eyes. "What do you mean revive the gods? They can't be killed." he said cautiously. Persephone gave a small sigh and the hooded men behind her whimpered quietly. "Alas, all is not as it seems." she replied "The gods have indeed fallen to those who now wield their powers. The accursed Brun and the ruthless Lazerus are desecrating everything the gods had wrought."

Colt slowly digested this. 'The gods can be killed?' he thought to himself 'What kind of power can do this?' Persephone apparently read his face and said "Lazerus had obtained the scythe of Kronos to strike down the final god Hades and stole the power of creation with it." Colt's eyes were unfocused as his mind raced. It didn't seem possible that gods could be killed, but he had seen his fair share of strange things. How could there not be a weapon so powerful it could strike down gods?

"However, we are close." Persephone cooed softly. Colt's head snapped up and she continued "While the gods were defeated, they left a way for those loyal to exact revenge upon those who falsely claim their thrones. Apollo, Persephone and Nemesis gathered at the mountian where Atlas holds up the sky and inscribed a message for their followers, a way to obtain their powers. Nemesis's successor has already awakened and I am Persephone's champion. The only one we are missing is Apollo's champion."

As she finished, Colt began to feel dread build up in his gut. He had heard of occults like this back when he was a ranger and fought against one as a member of the Assassin's Guild, but now he was involved with one. While he always paid homage to the gods when nessicary, mostly Athena due to his upbringing, he was determined to remain seperate from fanatical followers. He had seen firsthand what religious conviction did to people and it never had a happy ending.

Persephone slipped into a dreamy trance as she finished her thought. "You see, we are at the very mountian where Atlas once held up the sky. The inscriptions spoke of an elven man who would show himself shortly before the final god fell as Apollo's chosen, You see..." she looked at him "You are him. The champion of Apollo."

As she said that, the robed men behind her knelt and began to chant in an odd language. Colt felt as if ice was flowing through his viens, realising just what he was into. He had to leave, to get out of here and run as far away as possible. His hickory bow was still slung across his chest and the dagger at his side was still there. Persephone's grin was incredibly wide as she moved closer to him.

"Yes, all of us are here. The gods have smiled on us, for now we shall complete the ritual and destroy the pretenders."

*Tourivil placed his sword back in its scabbard, and stood up. Wordlessly, he reached into his robe, and pulled out a small, leather bound book, and began idly flipping through it. The letter on the front was written in gold leaf, and appeared to be in the tongue of the Aegyptian empire. The book was a bestiary, though, it was unlikely that any here could read that particular tongue.

Shang was not so excited now. Indeed as he left the viewing platform without so much as a word of encouragement from his Uncle he looked queasy. As he stepped out into the Arena and the bodies of the former match dissolved into the wind he looked sickly.

The eyes of thousands bore down on him unrelenting and expecting. They wanted blood and he could give it to them. They depended on him. He had all the power.

When the slim Elven warrior entered the Arena Shang was smiling. When his twin entered he was still smiling. When their triplet emerged Shang's smile faltered. He could do this, he could do this.

The first elf wore a strange golden armour and was equipped with round shield and sword of similar material and design. The second elf was similarly armoured and yet wielded a giant battleaxe. The third elf was not armoured in the slightest but wielded a metal staff encrusted with a ruby at the top surrounded by gnarled metal.

Shang's robe fell away in one deft motion to reveal his weapon of choice or rather his weapons of choice. He wore a utility belt that had seven throwing knives strapped to the front and the same amount of kunai at the back. On his right was a large leather pouch filled to the brim with something. On the left was another pouch this one I can reveal had eight shuriken in it. Twin katanas were strapped against his back. A single feather quill rested in a pocket sewn onto his shirt along with one silver coin.

“Give up?” Shang asked them.

“Never.” Said the elven warrior of sword and shield.

Shang reached to his left and pulled out a shuriken. It doubled in size and thickness with a muttered word. Neither of the elves moved. They were clearly watching to see if he would throw it. He did so throwing it straight between the two elven warriors who stood by each other but several feet apart. They dodged away from it anyway. Just in case. However what they did not expect was when the shuriken turned mid-flight and flew right through the second elven warrior's neck without stopping letting forth a relentless gush of blood as the elf fell to the floor.

“Give up?” Shang persisted.

Shang's right index and middle finger were up and pointing to the side. Anyone who had been watching him would have seen him swipe his hand right and the shuriken move to follow that action. He went to swipe it left but it turned to gloop as his magical opponent exerted his will on it.

“Never!” Shouted the elven warrior this time in rage.

The alive elven warrior cried with rage at the sudden realisation of the death of his brother running forward with his sword and shield to close the gap between them. Two throwing knives were in the air instantly. One of them was batted away with the sword impressively and the other one hit the shield. Shang smiled and his left fist closed. The knife, etched with several glowing red runes, exploded sending up a cloud of dust. When the dust cleared the elf still stood somewhat surprised. A red magical shield glowed around him. The mage smiled having saved his brother.

Shang was gone however. For a single moment he seemed to be completely gone until both warrior and mage alike saw a glint of metal to their left. When the silver coin fell upon the arena floor the elven warrior turned expecting to see his brother as confused as he. Instead he saw a scene of horror. Shang stood feet evenly spaced upper torso flecked with elven blood. Both hands were wrapped around a katana the at was stretched out to the side at the end of an arc. An elven head flew through the air in super slo-mo. The elven warrior could have swore as the head spun through the air and faced him his brother gave him one last wink before his head fell to the floor with a single bounce rolling forward before coming to rest slanted with it's nose as a stopper.

“Give up?” Shang asked resting his katana against his shoulder.

The lone elven warrior's sword fell from his hand clattering on the ground. He fell upon his knees broken and defeated. He unstrapped his shield throwing it away and began to weep. Shang began to walk toward him when he got to the warrior's sword he kicked it away. He came to rest above the elven warrior and looked down at him with a mixture of concern and sorrow upon his features.

“Give up?” He asked once more not really wanting to kill this lone, unarmed creature.

The elf looked up at Shang through tears. “Just kill me.” He whispered with the air of a man's final request. Wordlessly he placed his katana back where it had been.

“I give up.” He announced to the King and walked out of the Arena leaving the warrior and his grief behind him.

He arrived back to find Brunnex standing at the entrance back into the viewing platform. He looked angry but before he could say a word Shang had wordlessly stalked past him into the room sitting in the corner furthest away from everyone his body huddled up to his knees. This was a horrible place. A disgusting place that made sport out of butchery and horror.

He noticed Brunnex sitting on the bench without another look at him. He didn't know how Brunnex would react later but for now he didn't much care...

Shang gave him a weak “Thanks.” before returning to his brooding. He felt a little better now that someone thought what he did was right. In fact it pleased him a little although he didn’t know what the elf meant by ‘evil’. How could you tell? One way or another, he reckoned, everyone’s got a good intention hidden in them somewhere no matter how misguided they are.

"You know kid, the Tourivil is right. Never kill if you're uncomfortable with it. The soldier put you in a bad position. You made the choice that was best for you. The choice those with innocence still have." John told him, while inspecting a part of his staff. One could only wonder what he was looking at.

(The Head Administrator of Pain does not post in Iguanas. Iguanas posts in him!)

“Innocence? I know pain. I lost everything!” Shang shouted now standing a furious brow and trembling lip reflecting his soul.

Brunnex spun round in his seat and stood in one fluid motion and came to rest by his side his hands on his shoulder. “Hush now, Shang, he meant nothing.” Brunnex commanded with the air of someone trying to soothe.

Shang broke free of the lose grip. “No!” He said to Brunex and turned to face John “I lost a brother.” He said in a calmer tone “I lost my family all except my Uncle. I know how he feels. Don’t pity me, old man, I didn’t throw the game to preserve some idea of innocence. I didn’t do it in pity. I did it because this whole thing is evil. Anything that condones this mindless slaughter is disgusting and I don’t want to dirty myself with another innocent life to haunt the dreams that aren’t already filled with the screams of my dead family.”

Shang looked John in the eye with pure hatred for one more minute and stalked out of the room leaving a bewildered Brunnex in his wake.

“So sorry.” Brunnex finally said “I don’t know what’s got into him. He isn’t normally like this.” Brunnex tried to excuse all the while shocked at the sudden outburst so unlike the happily immature teenager Shang normally was.

"Don't worry zbout it. We were all young once, and too this day I still see the young shy away from help and guidance and throw tantrums. Even my own daugher has them." He paused for a moment, still inspecting the staff until he was suddenly happy. A small burst of light erupted from it, consuming John for the briefest of seconds. If one listened carefully, they may have heard John say "Got it." He was now standing in creamish robes, with a long flowing cloak, holding the same staff, except now its top was less curved and not mangled, but twisted around something flat.

In his right hand he now held a small crystal, which he pocketed. "You know, perhaps he is a bit like Brun. He to was a bit brash, headstrong and a bit arrogant, but calm calculating and loyal. Perhaps Shang has merely taken those attributes and it is up to you to guide him. He is, after all, named after one of the greatest, if not the greatest swordsman who ever lived." John mused, again sounding distant. He again began inspecting the staff.

“Indeed.” Brunnex said instantly withdrawing back into himself again. “He hasn’t had the best childhood as I’m led to believe Brun also had. Perhaps this relation is one best looked into but for another day.” Brunnex said musingly taking a few steps out of himself in a conscious effort not to alienate John. "The name though I have no idea why his parents called him that. As far as I am aware they never met the man in their lives either that or my whole family have been in secret cohorts with a God." Brunnex laughed as if that were ridiculous.

He sat back down face to front. It was the old man with the oriental facial hair’s turn. He looked an awful lot like Shang’s namesake whom he remembered as per Brun’s memories...

"Well I wouldn't put it past Brun. After all, not many men can say an entire race worshipped him before he became a god." A shring-kuh sound was heard, as the staff glowed silver for a few seconds. John began tapping it in several places. He was muttering something along the lines of "no no no no no." "That reminds me, I'll have to go visit that shrine of the gods near the forest. I'll take the pilgramage to Stranges shrine while I'm there. It's been a while since I was at the place where Strange Died and Brun became a God. I'll go there too."

After the staff shone silver, John spoke to Brunnex as if in a trance. It was monotonus, and dull.It glowed black, yet there seemed to be no change, except to John who was back to normal. "Dam staff. I give it to that blasted elf and he calibrates the dam thing for his own uses. Now I'm having to change everything back. " As he spoke, green filled the room, turning everyone a pale of green, turning the walls green, and even the little insects on the walls green.

"Stupid elf, I'll kick his ass when I get back." He said, removing the green shade of the world and making the staff shine purple at the top, which then slowly turned midnight blue. He pulled the Crystal out from his pocket, inserting it into the slot at the top of the staff. It was now apparant that the crystal was a Sapphire, as it turned from a dull grey colour, into a deep sea blue and stayed that way.

"There, fixed the dam thing. Now I can finally use it."

*Tourivil's head snapped around. He had rapidly been losing interest in the conversation. It had quickly turned banal and pointless. Then he had heard a series of syllables that made no sense to him, and we in fact entirely incomprehensible. *

What did you say about Strange? *He said slowly, and quietly. *

John turned his head towards Tourivil. "Just that I have a needy feeling to go visit his shrine at some point, as well as go to the desert where he died, and Brun became a god." He turned his body around so that all of his concentration was now on Tourivil. "Why do you ask?" He asked curiously.

*Tourivil shook his head, and laughed. *

You just keep saying that strange is dead, and that just isn't possible. There is no way anything could kill strange. He had more power than most could imagine, and was significantly wiser too. It just isn't possible. *He finished with a chuckle, and another shake of his head. *

"Well, I know that I saw him die and some sort of spirit leave his body. Unless he became a god or his soul was transfered to another plane, he's dead." John said, turning away. "He did well against Hades though, and managed to save a bunch of men before his body died." He then walked over toa far corner, sitting down and placing the staff on his knees. e then began meditating.

*Tourivil again chuckled. The old man was clearly deranged. The idea of strange dying was laughable, but the idea that he had ascended to another plane was frankly stupid. He shook his head dismissively, and returned to his book. Even if the old man wasn't deranged, it would not be the first time that strange had faked his death.....*

" I wouldn't want to see Strange." The man had said.

He overheard the conversation and wanted to join in or atleast point out something. He poses as an insignificant by stander that just hapened to over here tham, He came to the small group, leaving his bench. He stood a fair distance from the men, showing them respect naturally.

" He is something of a Messiah in this country and frankly, I don't want to get involved with that sort of stuff." He held out a palm and had his eyes closed and his head pointing towards the side as if to say 'hell no, I aint into that.'. He resumed his standing posture and wanted to add something.

" I have however assosiated with that man in the Resistance. His might was unlike I have ever seen. He not only has astounding magical power but he also has been part to shape all of Sardo."

As Head Administrator of Pain I pass forth this post decreed to me by our almighty, and absent, ruler:

An adviser that had been holding up the festivities by talking into the King’s ear stood and left finished his business. The King then cleared his throat and announced the next fight “Would Jong Jong please come down for his fight.”

Jong Jong departed without a word. It was not long before he had stepped out onto that arena like every other contestant with the iron gates shutting behind them.

A threllos young and full of prospects stepped out of the ‘red’ team gate. It saddened Jong Jong to know what he was about to do yet nevertheless it was to be done.

The threllos put both hands together and a torrent of flame shot from it long enough that it should have engulfed Jong Jong. Old though he was Jong Jong could still move with speed and before even the flame seemed to have reached him he stood behind the threllos. With a flickof his wrist the threllos lost all balance disrupting his spell and was turned right around to face Jong Jong.

Jong Jong let his hands hang loose yet curved and closed his eyes. “Eight Trigrams: Sixty-Four Palms!” He cried and struck the threllos twice.

“Two palms.” He declared after striking twice as if to keep his total.

“Four palms.” He declared after striking another two times to reach a total of four.

“Eight palms” He declared after striking another four times.

“Sixteen palms. Thirty-two palms. Sixty-four palms.” The threllos had not, and could not, blocked any of the strikes as his body became steadily more and more paralysed held up only by the power of his strike. The threllos spat up some blood and fell to his knees and then flat on his face. Jong Jong turned and walked out of the arena. His opponent was dead...

When Jong Jong had returned to the viewing area the King stood. “That concludes Round One of this magnificent tournament! Well, well, round one over and only one loss from the ‘blue’ team. A surrender no less after an assured victory. Rest assured my loyal subjects that we will be back for Round Two tomorrow and I have several interesting surprises for the blue team but for now I bade you all a good day.” He said and left. Sin didn’t follow for many moments until he looked up from his puzzle and realised his father was gone. He hastily disappeared.

“Goodbye, Leaf, we shall see you tomorrow. Lao and I have oter business to attend to now.” Jong Jong said and both he and Lao disappeared too. Ur’re disappeared also and the masked figure slipped away.

Jong Jong and Lao made their way out of the arena without waiting for Leaf to reply, though for good reason. During the tournament Jong Jong could feel something bad, very bad indeed.

Lao's aura was a deadly one, so deadly in fact that Jong Jong had it under constant, and heavily layered, seals of many kinds. However even with that amount of barriers the spirit within still wears them down, and that is exactly what it was doing during the tournament.

And so, Jong Jong found himself and his young...er apprentice atop a hill just outside of Dale. Lao was facing away from his master and his robe was pulled away from his torso revealing a rather intricate back tattoo, a very tribalistic design mainly made up of swirls and curves all concentrating onto a patch just above his right shoulder blade where four small dots sat looking rather innocuous. They were not innocuous, not one bit.

In fact. The entire sealing technique hinged upon these four dots. If even one of these dots was tampered with even slightly then the entire spell would be undone and the beast would be let free, or at least partially. And so, this was of course where the spirit within focused most of its energies, attempting to morph the spells or even just the dots themselves. Though, this was an overly hard thing to do and it took it days, usually, to get to a point where Jong Jong was required to do what he was about to do now.

Jong Jong placed his right hand upon the dots, covering them all under his rough palm. He closed his eyes as he recounted what must be done, checking over the seal mentally to see what must be repaired and what must best strengthened. This process in itself was rather simple, it was sort of like finding a hole that a large amount of water was leaking through, except that hole was a degradation in the seal and the water was the spirits power. So, no danger.

Once this job was finished, which took several minutes of silent concentration, Jong Jong's eyes opened and he whispered to Lao in a coarse tone; “Hold fast, here it comes.”

The tattoo atop Lao's back suddenly flashed to life, it swirled and whirled and twirled and all kinds of 'irled's around his back like a caged beast. Then Jong Jong growled and closed his eyes, sweat was pouring off him already.

For a moment the scene played out the same, Jong Jong looking statue-like whilst Lao held back a scream as the tattoo rampaged around his back. Then, Jong Jong's eyes opened once more.

The world slowed for a moment as Lao could no longer hold back his cry of pain, a ear-shattering echo of agony escaped his throat as the tattoo was sucked into the four dots as if they were hovers. Within an instant a tattoo that had covered his entire back, and some of his torso, was entirely concealed within the four strange dots. Lao went limp and fell forward.

Jong Jong staggered backwards, panting heavily he wiped his brow; “It is done.” He took a few breaths and allowed himself to fall to his back. He heard footsteps recede away from the duo, he had noticed the stranger watching them but thought nothing of it for now. After all, he had made no attempt to stop, hinder, nor help them in anyway so it was a fair guess that he was just curious what the hell was happening.

Jong Jong and Lao were second, and third, to return to the waiting area the next day. Er're stood staring into the arena, seemingly content to stare thusly until the next round started. The stadium was already full to the brim with people waiting to see the fights. The contestants had about half an hour before they were officially disqualified from the contest.

(Post what you done, or don't. Just get to the arena .)

" By the gods." Leaf looked around himself He walked back into the coluseum. Hearing the mustered crowd noises afar from his location, a thought had hit his mind, that these people here should go do something else than see stronger people killing each other for thier entertainment. He wonders little to what if these people could control thier bloodlust, rather he wondered how much these men pay to even watch them and their power. leave that thought, he told himself. he has to go to the arena with the rest of the contestants.

The large man came into the field towards Lao, Master Jong Jong and Er're. who were standing in the arena pretty much waiting awhile the king wasn't so patient wanting everyone meet within less than half an hour. He came up to the group, naturally greeting Lao and -jong-jong with a short bow.

" Another day to earn my freedom." He told himself nodding for a moment.
