Brunnex closed both fists and the little pellets embedded within Mandas scales exploded. The pellets were life frag grenades too as shrapnel much larger than the pellets exploded out lodging themselves into the snake.

As for the venom Brunnex took a very large intake of breath before letting forth a gout of fire that would shame Erda. Such a thing was one part biomagic four parts magic and the Biomagic was mostly too increase the volume one could get for the amount of magic they put into it. Anyhow said Venom was encased in the fire and, with much sizzling, evaporated into an acid cloud that would one day plague a village or town causing death and destruction for the lesser folk.

Shilack jumped then as absurd as that tactic was. He swung Cherubim around knocking the larger blade of Shilors to the side with ease and propelled himself higher, eyes-closed, and grabbed Shilacks head throwing the ferrock downward onto his charging brother who would not have the time to change direction before tackling his stunned brother.

*Oh yes.

Oooh yes.

Tourivil smiled a big smile as the arrow thudded into his chest. He looked at the arrow, and smiled at it, smiled at his foe drawing a sword. He let out a long, hearty laugh as his blood pushed the arrow and it's toxic payload out of his chest. It landed in the ground with a tap, and he stomped on it. He could feel the pain, feel it bringing the anger, feel the flood gates of his power opening. He had waited for this for a long time. *

You would try to you my own blood against me? Fool. That is the opposite of how this works. *He pointed his amber tipped walking stick at Krom, and there was another bright flash of light from the tip. If it was successful, Tourivil would certainly take control of some part of his body while his guard was down. *

Krom was a quick learner, the moment he spotted Tourivil raising his staff his left hand was covering his eyes, and he was charging full pelt towards the blood mage almost entirely blindly. This of course left him open to an attack from the lines of Sardonian soldiers he was running passed, but none of them seemed to have enough time to hit him, given the fact they were all locked in a battle to the death.

When Krom was within range he would take one long leap towards Tourivil and try to cut the man's chest open from breast to breast.

-

Shalor pulled his sword back at the last moment, his free hand shot up and grabbed his brother's collar before the two collided, with twisting feet and body Shalor turned and threw his brother behind him and as such avoided any sort of damage.

Shilor was not so lucky, though his small collision with the ground and the resulting tumble afterwards didn't phase him for very long. He was back on his feet almost instantly, his sword still in his hands.

Shalor wasted no time, the moment he had tossed Shilor, he was rocketing after Shilack on a pair of wings that would outclass most Ferrock's flying speed several times over. Aerial combat was a Ferrock's forte, and Shalor was no different in this stereotype.

-

When the pellets exploded Manda's body convulsed and he hissed louder than he had before, but after the initial burst of pain the snake seemed once again to ignore the damage to its body as it continued to rear up higher and higher as it approached the Alpha worm.

The area on Monda's body where the explosions had occurred where not as badly damaged as one would think. There was some bleeding where the shrapnel had entered, but to a snake this large the amount of blood being lost was nothing, and the explosion itself seemed only to have dirtied Monda's scales.

Manda was close now, he was sticking low to the ground now that he was passing over his brother's tail. His eyes were fixed upon the Alpha worm's mid-body area, and that was where he was heading by the looks of things.

-

Toun shot from the Sardonian horde, his staff whirling wildly around his head as he called upon some sort of Threllosian-magic.

Jet saw his old ally instantly, and a lightning bolt was thrown towards him without hesitation. If it wasn't clear before, it most certainly was now; Jet was not in control of his body or emotions right now, if he was then he surely would have thought twice before throwing a super charged bolt of raw electricity towards the one being who may have actually been a true friend to him at some point during his life.

Toun caught the lightning bolt in his left hand, catching the bolt in his hand he closed it into a fist and brought it closed to his chest with visible strain on his face. He held it there for a while, and then with a roar he cast it back towards Jet, whom simply let the lightning be stopped dead in it's tracks by his own spell.

Thus, the battle of the Threllos had begun in the sky, it was sure to be a pretty spectacle to say the least..

Balthazaar did not like being tackled, not one bit.

Balthazaar did not like being taken against his will into a different dimension, not one bit.

Balthazaar certainly did not like being tackled against his will into a different dimension, not one bit.

Kicking himself, metaphorically, for allowing himself to be taken out of the immediate battle so easily, Balthazaar got back to his feet after his foe had sent him toppling across the freshly cut grass on which they had appeared.

The ground was green, green grass for as far as the eye could see, and other than that there was nothing, whiteness, absence of reality as we know it. If any mortal had looked upon the void unprepared, and unshielded, they may have gone mad for sure, but Balthazaar was no mortal and this realm bothered him little.

When you've seen the darkest corners of Tartarus, and the most foul lairs of the most disgusting demons, a void of existence really wasn't that special anymore. Balthazaar's own realm of existence had, when he had first created it, at one point been this barren and devoid of even the simplest of matter. Of course he had created an entire world for his pleasure, but that had been when he was a much younger demon, and far more concerned with the normal Demonic lifestyle; fighting, plotting, blood rituals and the like.

Rising to his full height Balthazaar shook his head slightly and frowned towards his foe, whom he know saw clearly; "You know, you should really watch who you're tackling through interdimensional portals. I'd say this could be a learning experience, but you won't be surviving long enough to learn anything from this I'm afraid, bad luck."

Mason stood at a stooped height of around five foot three, and leaned heavily on his knotted oaken staff. His long white hair was curled and greying, his knee-length beard all askew. It was clear that, like the other Fallen, Mason had not been given time to touch up his make-up at all. Yet, when Balthazaar spoke, a strange, satisfied, smile crept across his well aged features. In a wispy voice befitting one of his physical appearance Mason retorted; "I searched long and hard for a worthy challenger...At last I have found one."

Balthazaar smiled playfully, even going as far to give a tiny courtesy at the knee; "Glad to be of service, if you weren't a mindless thrall I might even have showed you a thing or two before I beat you down. Oh well!"

Putting his right foot forward Balthazaar made a swirling motion with his right hand, and then tossed his hand towards Mason. From Balthazaar's extended fingertips shot five, including the thumb, pure white beams of energy. The energy was concentrated enough that it would have melted through Olympian steel with only a little bit of trouble, and that was quite the testament since the metal was considered by pretty much everybody to be entirely indestructible. Say what you will of Balthazaar's social skills, but the Demon knew how to kick off a battle.

Mason's satisfied smile vanished, lifting his staff he called out; "Inku tatem." With a resounding thud that wrung out into the endless void, which was odd since the staff had hit soft grass, Mason slammed the end of his staff back onto the ground.

The five beams of energy curved around Mason as if a personal, invisible, dome had reflected them. The beams continued on, three of them shot off into the nothingness, but the other two carried on for some time before hitting the ground.

The result of the beams hitting the earth was a cataclysmic explosion scaled enough to take down a rather large village. Luckily, the beams had travelled a great distance in a short amount of time, and thusly the only effects that Mason felt were his hair being blown wildly from behind, which brought a smile back to the old man's face.

"Inku tatem? That's one of Brunny's moves....Stealer guy!" Balthazaar yelled, somewhat accusingly.

"Yes, I believe the Mage known as 'Brun' was well versed in the use of Inku Tatem, as was every mage at one point, it is a simple enough incantation, though it still has its uses if used correctly." Mason said in an informative manner, not taking his eyes off of Balthazaar he carried on after a moments pause; "As for what you mentioned early, to me being a mindless Thrall, I'm pleased to tell you that is no longer the case."

"Upon entering this dimension the spell's effects wore off and I regained control over my own mind and body, which I am thankful for. Luckily the foolish being that created that particular spell did not plan ahead for any of his revived toys dimension shifting."

Balthazaar followed the man's speech, and understood how the spell would have been made defunct when Mason entered this new dimension, but there was something that confused him now; "Why are you still fighting me then? Surely you know you cannot win, and now you have the chance to survive instead. Also...Why hasn't the other spell faded, the one that actually resurrected you in the first place."

"There is no way that this is a normal 'return from the dead' spell, otherwise Sazh would simply have recalled the lost souls to the underworld. My guess is that whoever created the spell, done so that you were not truly revived, but instead your soul was bound to some sort of homunculi puppet and thus your minds and powers were brought back in a way, but not your true body. It would also explain how he is able to bind people with such strong wills such as Shang Tao...Am I correct?" Balthazaar had just now began to think about the revival spell, but now that he was doing so this hypothesis of his seemed like the only viable option for a mortal being.

"I had come to the same conclusion." Mason replied at first, and then he added; "I know not if this is the case, but upon reflection I found no other way for any non demonic entity to get these results."

"As for why I remain here when the other spell had faded is simple, I am no longer one of these Fallen, I am truly alive once more!" Mason smiled, showing well-aged and partially rotted teeth as he done so; "The instant I entered this realm both spells began to wear off, but I had the sense of mind to use what precious time I had before I disintegrated into whatever components make up this pseudo-body of mine to cast a true spell of revival. I am now in total control of my body, and all the gladder for it.

Of course I shall have to deal with a vengeful death God when I return to the normal world, but I shall worry about that once I have dealt with you.

As for the reason why I still chose to battle you, given that I am choosing to do so freely, is just as simple as all the rest. I searched long and hard during my lifetime for someone of a magical might equal to my own, unfortunately Sazh defeated me before I had the chance to find such an opponent, but thanks to this necromantic group I have completed my goal. You, my Demonic friend, are just the challenge I have searched so long for!

Now, enough of this prattle, let us get down to this duel."

"Let's." Balthazaar replied with a grin.

*Tourivil seemed slightly amused that his enemy was attempting to attack him without looking, so when the man jumped, he simply willed another stake into existence, and held it out for the leaping archer to jump into.

He was a little disappointed by these enemies. You can't taunt something that doesn't have feelings, and that really is the best part. *

Krom moved his hand away at the last minutes, meaning he saw the spike coming and was able to twist his body ever so slightly as to not be entirely impaled by it. That's not to say he avoided the thing entirely, no in fact the spike still speared him, but it was through the left shoulder instead of through a more central-ish part. The wound was very deep, and it was not only the noise of flesh being driven apart that was caused when the spike entered, it had most certainly done some serious damage and no doubt rendered the entirely left arm useless.

Krom didn't seem to mind the spike in his chest at all, at least pain wise, and wasted no time in lifting his short sword up and attempting to drive it through Tourivil's stomach with all his might.

-

Taru was making mincemeat of the Desertmen, and had even began casting basic spells to cause destruction at a distance. The disrest he was causing in the formation of the army itself was large enough to give the abominations somewhat of tactical advantage on the front lines, not to mention the fact that the abominations themselves were stronger and faster than your average human, it wasn't hard to account for the higher desertman death rate than that of the abominations.

-

Auron had been standing in the exact centre of the two clashing sides up until now, but having fully realized the implications of yet another force into the mix he had elected that he should probably make plans to counter that new side effectively.

He saw no point in wasting another of his Fallen when the new force was lead by no one of truly noticeable strength, he could handle that lot on his own.

Reaching down he drew Tamesaka from his right hip, and Tiero from his left. He teleported to the side of his army, and thus in front of the charging reinforcements, and began a one-man-charge towards them.

As he done so he slashed horizontally towards his foes with Tiero, the huge distance between them was made redundant when the entire front line of the charging force was cut apart by Tiero's invisible edge.

Even at the height of his power with Tiero, Taru had only ever shown the ability to extend it's reach several feet at most. Auron had just babied that prowess by using it to cut apart multiple enemies at over a hundred feet, and shown no strain whilst doing so. Having seen Taru use Tiero before, John would be able to realize rather instantly that Auron was leagues ahead of Taru in proficiency with the sword, even though Taru had carried it for hundreds of years and Auron had barely had it for a handful of weeks at the most.

So, continuing his one man charge towards Lord Sicarius's reinforcements Auron seemed not to care about his vast, vast, number problem at all, and for very good reason. Thus far in the battle he had summoned two otherworldly beings, a host of powerful dead people, and cut down several dozen men with extreme ease, and he hadn't even broken a sweat yet. It was safe to assume he had power enough to back his headlong charge...

Thunk.

Leaf had efficiently slashed two abominations in half. The snapping sounds of their organic tissue still rang in his ear, the four halves fell on the sandy ground as if it were light weight. The man had been startled by the pillars of light that fell upon his enemies and close to him and his men. His surprise didn't last too long with a horde of enemies pushing forward.

His strength and speed accelerated thanks to his transparent fiery green aura, flowing and blanketing his dark brown skin. He squeezed tightly the handles of his swords, the fiery aura flowed around their blades, improving the durability and damage of the weapon. The man charged with inhuman speed to his next foe wanting to slash these things to bits. Those who escaped and completely ignored the dark man headed for the heavy troopers, swords up and shields ready.

The men roared as they encounter their first challenge. A handful of troopers ran in a semi circle at the moment the abomination came with its sickly human body, it was stopped by being impaled by four men, then took a spear to the face and the man who made the finishing move even went to the extremes of ripping its head off to ensure its death. The sound is something hard to forget, a sound that itches your very ears as you could hear the sickly coloured flesh, blood and other bodily tissues rip off from the neck. The group of men are victorious for the moment, but soon more came, completely ignoring the man engulfed in green flames who is halting a certain number of the horde.

Orks too are fighting their hardest. The human soldiers couldn't help but smile to see a large army of Orkish soldiers fighting along side their small numbers. Thousands of Orks fighting along side a few hundred men( and quite possibly women ).

Fenrir could never have fathomed the true horror of battle, not if he had been given a hundred years.

The stench of blood was sickening, the noise of fighting, and death, was deafening and the weight of his sword shuddering against his foes was more draining a task than he had ever endured. He understood now, why Achilles and Faolin had always been amused by his view on war and battles, it was because he was making such opinions having never truly experience it. Now that he was actually in the mix of things he could see their point, it was nothing like the small clashes with bandits he had had before, or the one on one battle with Nahkaro, nothing it all.

Every moment there was a new enemy, every time you cut a creature down four took his place. You could not move but for knocking soldiers with a potential friend, or a possible foe, you could not breathe without taking in some poor soul's final scream into yourself.

For all his wishing Fenrir had not even been able to kill one of these...These things, these demons.

When he had reached the front lines he had moved through the enemy like a ghost, slashing and blocking, stabbing and dodging, his mind no longer controlling his body at all. Yet, not one of his blows sung a song of death for those they hit, even against these creatures Fenrir could not dish out death. He would have been angry with himself, he would have been disgusted with himself, but he hadn't the time.

Where Faolin and Shane were he could not say, though he couldn't say when he had lost them either, nor how long this battle had been going on.

All he could say was that he was entirely surrounded by the enemy, and yet only the ones that were charging forward noticed his existence at all, those to the side and behind him ignore him completely and continued pouring towards his allies.

He could say also that Ryuk was close by, for any time that a blow came close to him Ryuk seemed to materialize with his sword in hand in time to block the strike and dispatch the enemy. He also moved around, much slower than Fenrir and with already visible strain, killing any foe that dared approach his master, as well as those foes that Fenrir left badly injured, but still able to stand, as few as those were. The Ferrock was by no means powerful by anyones standards, and frankly he would not have lasted this long at such intense pace if it was not for one thing, his sheer force of will. He would not let another master die as he sat idly by, not so long as he had blood flowing through his veins and a sword in his hand, and the latter was optional.

-

Faolin cleaved one of the abominations in half, from shoulder to hip, and he was cutting the head off of a second one before the two sections of the first had even hit the ground.

He wore dark grey platemail, underneath which was ringed mail, and yet he moved like a man half his size and weight. His huge sword glided through steel, flesh, and bone as if they were thin air, and his left hand alone had dispatched many an abomination with simple, yet brutally strong, punches straight to the throat or skull.

Much to his shame Fenrir had charged ahead, where he could not follow with ease, but Shane was still within his line of sight. He was sure that Fenrir would be fine, he had Ryuk watching his back, and was far from a child even in this new type of battlefield.

His worry was cast towards his other partner, whose every effort was being ignored by the giant snake as if he were just a gnat or fly. He could feel the pressure rising inside of Erda, his pride was taking a beating, and the rage was rising. Faolin really, really hoped that snake knew well enough to die before Erda lost his cool, if it didn't things might not be very pretty at all...

-

Lao held his ground like some immovable stone serpent, striking out with lightning speed every time an enemy drew near, his blade far too fast for their eyes to follow, and far too sharp for their armour to stop. The man's eyes were ablaze, and yet oddly calm.

All the while he was fending off these abominations he was wondering when his master would appear, when things would take a step or two towards the truly severe...

"Tillion, it's John. Auron is using the sword that Taru used. I'm going to try and hold him off for as long as I can. Otherwise, my troops will be decimated." John willed over to Tillion. "Raise your swords, this man can extend his swords reach" He souted, and watched as the troops did so. "Mikalu, lead them" He shouted ahead. He then Teleported over to Aurons left, having summoned his staff .

"We meet again demi-god."

Mikalu kept the charge running, ordering them to not stop.

All of a sudden Jasper vanished. It was unknown where he was, just that he was still in contact, but would ignore all attempts to find out where he was.

"Anyone that can be spared, Lord Sicarius has just engaged Auron on the western edge of the battlefield. He will need all the help he can get, Auron is the defacto leader as far as we know so he's the number one priority here." Sir Tillion relayed that exact mental message to anyone and everyone wearing the earrings that allowed the message into their head. He hoped that they would arrive in time to back John up before things got messy for him, though he was sure that the old assassin could more than handle Auron for at least a while.

Auron smiled as he came to a standstill, his body still facing the charging force whilst his head was turned somewhat to face John. Raising his right index finger he said; "One moment please."

Turning back towards the force now led by Mikalu Auron bent down and slammed both of his palms into the ground, creating two fairly large white puffs of smoke to explode into existence to either side of him. Two snakes of large proportions shot out of these puffballs and slithered towards the advancing horde at insane speeds.

The snakes were large, but nowhere near as large as Monda or Manda. They were about thirty feet long and thick enough to eat a man whole, both were dark green in primary colour and had a spotted camo design. They would cause quite a bit of strife if undealt with, they were super quick on the strike and their poison would kill a normal man in less in thirty seconds, their teeth were easily large enough to pierce layers of steel, and their bodies were long and strong enough to crush several men at once.

Standing straight again, and recollecting his swords from the ground as he done so, Auron turned entirely to face John now, twisting both of his blades as he done so; "Now then, I guess we should get down to business."

"This won't be like last time, I assure you. The part where you walked away last time, that won't be happening this time, for instance." Auron chuckled to himself more than anything and then dashed forward, his two swords coming down from left to right, in an attempt to cut John across the chest. If course, Tiero's range was extended and it's edge was tough enough to easily cut through all but the hardiest of substances. Tamesaka would drain any magic, or enchantment etc, it touched at an astounding rate and was quite sharp in itself. The combination was most dangerous indeed...

*Tourivil was having none of it. As soon as He felt the spike go in, he twisted, throwing the spike, and therefore Krom, to the ground at his feet. He pointed a finger at the downed Krom, and a needle of blood rushed straight for his throat. If this didn't finish Krom, He'd have to send someone else after Taru, and he didn't want to play that card this early. *

John seemingly disappeared, instead reappearing behind Auron after a few seconds, but this time he was in his smoke state. Four more Smoke-Johns appeared as well. A John not in smoke form appeared behind these five smoke clones.

"Go forth my children" He whispered, and all five launched a one handed burst of intense fire. Combined, the flame burst they had created was easily 15 metres wide, and about the same high.

Mikalu saw the snakes, he smiled.

"Men, snakes ahead. Watch out for their mouths, but stay vigilent." He shouted. He then proceeded to run inbetween the two snakes, barely missing the fangs.

Water whipped and lashed both as sharp as a blade and as immaterial as liquid death. It hung thick in the air all around the young demigod whose lethality matched Fens unwavering lack of it. All around Shane the creatures died. He was not, perhaps, making as much of a dent as someone like Faolin but every movement was a precise, surgical strike. The abominations simply did not move past the circle of water around him without it whipping out at them as flexible as a whip and rending their upper halves from their bottom halves as cleanly as the sharpest sword.

A most gruesome fate befalled those abominations that were missed out by the whipping and lashing; those ones felt the Trident in their most fleshy parts to which, as soon as said trident made contact, the moistures of their bodies were absorbed into the Trident and focused into energizing Shane. This was how Shane could afford to keep his eye-patch off for this battle.

He had thought up this technique after defeating M by the skin of his pants. His weakened condition had almost entirely been derived from the draining effects of the Occulis Genkai. He had theorized that if he could come up with a way of constantly boosting his physical energy during prolonged combat he could lower the amount of energy forfeited at deactivation. To do this he had turned to his specialty; water; and that had inspired him to think back to that first encounter with Shilor where he had been able to stay up all night (and not feel a single hour of tiredness) simply by being in constant contact with the water. He had done many experiments with water (and fish) then between getting ready for Fens wedding and simply resting away the weakness that had still plagued him. He had came up with the idea that if he had no actual physical ailment and he came in contact with/absorbed water through the skin it would actually bolster his energy levels. The Trident was simply the best delivery method as it seemed to be able to retain an infinite amount of water and bolstered his moisture-draining power.

Shilack was a ferrock too and quite possibly faster and stronger than this mortal could ever be simply because he is a mortal. The problem was more of dealing with the two of them. Shalors quickness and his brothers eyes were simply too much for one warrior to deal with.

Shilack propelled himself higher into the air giving himself some time before either could catch up in which to communicate with Tillion. Been intercepted by Shilor and Shalor. Can deal with Shalor. Need someone to keep Shilor busy.

(It was either Shilack and Shane now or all three at the same time much later)

Krom was easily thrown to the floor, doing so with flailing arms. When Tourivil fired his blood-spike it just so happened that both of Krom's arms were outstretched in front of his throat, but neither done a thing to stop the spike's path. The spike entered just below the adam's apple, and Krom was certainly not going to be walking away one easily.

That being said Krom wasn't quite dead yet, dying, but not dead. He could, in theory, still be healed and reenter the battle if left unattended...

-

"Fyria titus myra!" Auron yelled in the old language, in a tongue much thicker than his usual one. Where such a young mortal had picked up the old language was anyone's guess, although it was documented quite profusely in countless books, most of the spells and incantations in said books were either very basic, made up or just useless.

The spell that Auron had cast had a very obvious effect, which was common enough for old language chants. The flames licked Auron's skin harmlessly, he felt no pain nor even an increase in temperature inside the instant-long inferno. When the fire was beginning to clear after it's supposed moments lifespan, a very peculiar thing happened.

The fire re-burst into life, being as wide and fully encompassing as the explosion itself had been at its peak, and then began to take form. It was odd to watch rising and falling flames take a solid form, and it was increasingly obvious to all that saw the attack just what the fire was forming into. A very long, very large, very angry looking snake made entirely of fire.

When the raging inferno had rearranged itself into a raging snake-inferno the snake shot forward faster than the eye could follow, straight into the advancing lines of the assassin force. It passed through the soldiers like a ghost, one that left behind a trail of incinerated corpses in its wake. The men who tried to run were not fast enough, the men that tried to fight the snake died all the quicker. It was a writhing mass of pure fire, hot as lava and as fluid as a stream of running water.

Auron's spell had absorbed in the fiery explosion and then given it a pseudo-life, in his chosen form of a huge serpent. It had no real intelligence, and obeyed his will as it's only source of making any sort of decision. Creating such a beast was immensely tricky, and the incantation he had used was of a very high difficulty to master entirely, and yet Auron had worked it as a pro. To have learned the old language to a level where he could, in a fast paced combat situation, know exactly how to word a bothersome spell is a feat indeed for one so young. One could wonder if Auron took after his uncle more than his father, having displayed far more skill as a mage than as a swordsmen, though he wasn't too shabby at that either.

The two smaller snakes avoided the fire-snakes path, doing so without even realizing, as they snapped and crushed their opponents too quickly for anyone within range to cut back at them. Archers were beginning to take aim now, in an effort to kill the snakes from afar.

When his new fiery pet was loosed on the Sicarius contingent Auron chuckled, otherwise seeming unphased by John's attack or his smoke trick. One strike from Tamesaka would destroy the clones, he knew that, and Tiero would have no difficulty hitting them either. This assassins tricks really didn't play well against someone like Auron, not one bit, and Auron knew that well.

"Come now, I do hope that isn't the best you've got old timer." Auron jibbed mockingly, slashing outwards with Tiero too quickly for two of the smoke clones to respond. The invisible blade slashed them in half at the waist, causing them to lose form.

-

Sir Tillion received the message, and relayed Shilack's need of aid to the others; "Shilack is outnumbered, Shilor needs to be taken care of whilst Shilack needs with Shalor."

He hadn't heard back from any one responding to John's plight yet, so he wondered if Shilack would be any luckier to have anyone close enough by to lend a hand.

-

Shalor continued his pursuit relentlessly, his eyes focused on his target and his wings pushing harder and harder as he fought to catch up with Shilack.

Shilor, having fully composed himself, watched from below for an opening to strike...

"A clone is a clone, and these smokey ones are much easier to cast." John replied. The other two clones attacked in unison. One attacked the right flank, firing a jet of ice, while the other ran towards Auron.

John himself began to gather energy.

The mages that had been brought with Johns army began to fight the fire snake. The orcs he had broowed were the first to fight the other two snakes.

"I must ask though, why snakes?" John asked, while he started to gather energy.

Auron grinned as the two remaining smoke clones launched their attacks from opposite angles. He was grateful that he was fighting someone foolish enough to use clone techniques against him, for more than the simple fact such things were far below his skill level.

Leaping into the air Auron sliced the ice spike in half, Tamesaka sucking all of the magic out of the projectile as it passed through, reducing it to a small puddle of water. Before he hit the ground he spun in the air once more, blocking the smoke-John's attack with the flat edge of Tiero, and then slashing down through it's exposed shoulder with Tamesaka, his blade absorbing all of the magic that made up the clone and thus dispelling it. Auron's feet touched earth for only an instant before he turned, slicing the air with Tiero he destroyed the final clone from afar.

Allowing a little bit more of Tamesaka's magic to flow through him Auron turned back to face John, quipping; "Why not?", then following up by thrusting the tip of Tamesaka straight towards John, even though he was quite a few feet away and Tamesaka possessed no ranged ability at all.

From Auron's rather loose sleeve shot four intertwining snakes that twirled around his wrist, and each other, as they shot faster than any bullet at John's right shoulderblade. One dose of the poison would be enough to cause serious pain, four would cause a quick yet equally painful death. The snakes were not material beings as such, but were instead made up entirely of what appeared to be shadow given form. That being said they could be hit by normal means, and would be killed as easily as a normal snake....

John simply blinked and a wall of fire appeared before him. When the snakes entered they were reduced to ash.

"I think we both know you outclass me magically, but I doubt you could win a fair fight using nothing but one blade." He replied. "We could be fair and honourable and use plain swords, or we can use a magical one. Either way, for fairness, don't use that blade that causes instant death when it cuts flesh. Thats not honourable in a duel."

John replied, his eyes quickly darting around for signs of Elderane.

"Honor? You sound just like little Nahkaro, and we all know what happened to him, don't we?" Auron chuckled, lifting both of his swords up ever so slightly he tensed....And then plunged both of them into the ground and shrugged; "I do like me a nice game though, perhaps I can get a bit of enjoyment out of this battle after all, what with fools like you prancing around."

Auron drew the final sword on his person, a thin silver rapier that had been hanging by his hip this entire time. It look un-peculiar to the eye, but was tipped with a deadly point nonetheless. It was also the sword known as Suzano, but of course John had no way of knowing that nor did he know that Auron carried said blade.

Stepping around his two swords which lay by his feet, stabbed vertically into the ground, Auron approached John with a grin; "I'll grant you the first move, it may well be the only one you manage to make after all."

Now, you are mine. *Tourivil said with a gleeful smile as he dropped to one knee, and prepared to punch straight into Krom's black heart with his right fist. He would absorb the undead's blood, and turn his attention to saving his men. *

Krom's lungs emptied as best as they could, what with the spike in the middle of his throat, causing a great creaking, yawning, noise to blast out of his mouth all at once. There was blood too, in that gaseous mixture, and that spurted up quite high indeed before falling back to land on Krom's face.

It was safe to assume that Krom was quite dead, again, and Tourivil was free to do whatever the hell he wanted with his corpse. Tourivil would find the corpse to be just like any other, for the first three seconds after the moment of Krom's death, after that he would find that it made a rather large explosion as every cell in his body transformed into a miniature bomb. This was a compilation job between Taru and Jason, a tricky job but rather effective indeed.

Said defense mechanism had been worked into the body of all of the Fallen, and each would explode several seconds after their heart ceased to beat.

DOWN! Brunnex cried leaping high into the air above the Alpha Worm as his advice was take and the worm descended into the ground at an astonishing rate almost as if propelled by a high-speed engine.

Manda would reach the tail end before it was under however and as Brunnex flew through the air he knew exactly what to do. Concentrating his magic between two palms a small orange dot appeared within his hands as he started to slowly descend; measured by Brunnex newly formed wings. The orange dot started to thicken and grow into a spherical shape. Beads of sweat ran down Brunnex forehead. His magic ever decreasing with every second until finally he held a floating, orange tennis ball between his palms. Unlike Brun in his final mortal battle a tennis ball was the only sized sun Brun had been able to come up with.

As Manda approached and he descended he threw the ball at Mandas head as they became 45 degrees to each other (easier throwing angle). Brunnex aim was impeccable. If the sake didnt move it would be struck in the forehead then it would cease to have one. It may only be the size of a tennis ball but the supernova from that would still be large enough to engulf both snakes so whichever way the snakes dodged he should obliterate them or, at the very least, Manda who was closer. He just hoped the Alpha Worm cleared the blast.

***

Shilack climbed ever higher until he was at a distance that assured Shilor could ot make any quick, sneak attacks without him quite noticing. As they flew up Shilack suddenly dropped bringing his flaming sword down on Shilors head letting gravity do all the work. Such an attack would halve him if it hit.

Johns staff vanished, and in his hand was now a Kilij. He moved closer and attempted a low swing at Aurons feet. His eyes watched the rest of Aurons body though, to see what he would do.

Auron was ahead of the game, with more than just John.

He sensed the huge concentration of magic that Brunnex was forming into the miniature sun, and knew without a doubt that the wards placed around the two snakes would do nothing to stop such power. Grinning he clicked his free hand, several steps behind him Tamesaka vanished from where it lay in the ground.

Auron turned his attention back to John just in time to see the swing, though not with enough time to fully avoid or attempt to block the rather speedy strike. Still, he was far from defenceless, and he knew the design of John's weapon well enough to known how best to counter a strike from it.

With the foriegn weapon that John had summoned, all the weight was towards the tip making the balance perfect for wide slashes, but immensely useless for stabs and other basic sword moves. He also wondered why John had chosen such a weapon, when they were generally used for the more design-appropriate mounted combat. Then again, he wasn't one to question a good thing.

At the last possible moment Auron lifted his left leg, and then brought it down with the utmost speed and precision, dropping the sole of his foot down on the flat of John's blade as it passed through the air where his leg had just been. The sword plunged into the ground at an angle, and at the same time Auron stabbed forward with his rapier.

Of course, John had not suspected that kind of defence, so there was no way he could have prepared his body to endure the rather extensive staggering affect that the sudden jerking of his sword caused to his entire body. Along with that Auron and he were now only a foot apart, at the most, and Auron's sword was travelling rather quickly towards centre mass.

-

Tamesaka reappeared in the air, spinning tip-over-pommel rapidly, in the exact space where the sun-ball was about to pass. When the ball hit the turning edge of the blade it lost its shape entirely, exploding outwards for only a few centimetres before it was vacuumed into the blade. Tamesaka flashed a golden hue as it began to fall back to earth, or rather as it fell down onto Manda's scales and slid off onto the churning earth he was leaving in his wave.

Manda did indeed reach the Alpha's tail before it was fully submerged. He reared up a little more, then snapped forward with abnormal speed for something his size. His teeth were tens of feet long and he his jaw was made of seriously tough stuff, and from the moment his fangs were sunk in he would be pumping gallon after gallon of super-corrosive acid into the Alpha's flesh.

Monda continued his approach, his eyes glowing as his brother lunged forward for the kill/bite...

Manda did not get to the Alpha Worm before it disappeared into the earth for as it lunged forward the top of its head was met by a fist easily a half-mile wide and just as thick. Its density rivalled that of lead and it smashed downward. It would most likely go all the way through Mandas head if not slam the beast into the ground so hard its brain would turn to mush.

The fist was of course Brunnex and belonged to a rapidly growing body. Within minutes Brunnex would have height and density to make the snakes look relatively average. The crystal in his chest grew but it could not cope with the energy spike. Long forks of lightning shot out erratically. Luckily most were grounded but some hit foe and ally alike disintegrating them instantly.

The fist slammed Manda into the ground, and the snake hissed in pain, but it was far from defeated. It's body spasmed wildly though, causing the earth to shake and splinter. Manda was pinned to the ground by Brunnex's fist, but Monda was free to move, and he done so in the form of rearing up until he was chest height with the now huge Brunnex. Snapping forward with reflexes to match his brother Monda lunged towards Brunnex's right shoulder, the same arm that was pinning his writhing brother to the floor. Brunnex would be hard pressed to heal his massive form at the same rate any of the corrosive-acid that Monda managed to get on/into him.

Brunnex had punched downward with his right arm. As Manda snapped forward he brought his other huge fist around hooking the snake causing it to fall away onto its back. He kept his fist on the other snake and applied as much pressure as he could trying to crush the snake between his huge palms. Brunnex knew he couldnt hold this form much longer but perhaps it was long enough to kill Monda

*Tourivil began to drain the blood from Krom, and then a most peculiar thing happened. He found himself skidding on his back in the dirt, missing most of the skin on his right hand, and a tad bit disoriented. It took him a minute to put together that there had been an explosion, and that it had propelled him across the ground.

This would be disconcerting to most people. Tourivil welcomed another injury. If he could not have the blood he wanted, anger was the next best thing. When he came to a stop, he propped himself up, and hopped to his feet. Krom being defeated,he turned his attention to the melee fighter. He scanned his forces, and soon found Taru, again he generated the little ball of light, and threw it at Taru. *

Monda gave a sky-shattering screech, wrought with an underlying splitting of bone so loud that it blew the eardrums of the nearest Sardonian soldiers. The entire body shook violently, then went limp.

Monda's skull had cracked inwards, impaling his brain with the splinters, as well as Brunnex fist crushing it. Death was pretty instant, but pain was still felt before it came to him.

Manda did not seem to like the death of his brother, not at all. Turning so that he was once again in the snapping position he snapped towards Brunnex's thigh, far faster and far more vicious than the last time.

-

Taru saw the ball coming, unlike Krom, and was aptly prepared. Although he did not have a clue what the ball was going to do, he prepared for just about everything. A thin membrane slid over the holes in his iron skin were his eyes sat in his head, they would shield any eye-hampering affects the ball had. The skin itself would take care of any explosive consequence that ball would have.

When the ball exploded like a flare Taru grinned, going to one knee he punched the earth with his left fist and launched a counter strike.

The ground around Tourivil cracked and splintered, and a moment later thick branches shot out of the ground as quick as vipers and began wrapping around Tourivil's legs with enough strength to easily crush bone. The branches continued to come out of the ground, becoming thicker and tougher with every passing second, and if Tourivil did not act quickly he would find himself encased within a large oak tree, just like so many Sardonian soldiers at the battle of Summer Star.

-

Shalor brought his sword up as he blasted himself backwards as best as he could, he was unable to move entirely out of the way, but his sword knocked the strike aside before it done some serious damage. Unable to stop his momentum fast enough Shilack continued to flew straight down, which gave Shalor the opportunity to plant a rather strong kick in the Ferrock's stomach as he flew passed him. Shalor remained at the same height as he had been when Shilack tried his attack.

Shilor saw his opening, his brother having created it when he had got a hit into Shilack. Tensing his wings Shilor prepared to take off, but stopped his preparations just in time to block a sudden strike from his left.

He leapt to his right, distancing himself from his foe as much as possible, and lifted his sword as he stretched his wings in preparation to charge forward with all his might to cut this new adversary down. He seemed not to care at all about who his challenger was, his face betrayed nothing of what would be going on inside his head.

The attack had actually came from Achilles, in light bronze armor with an earring in one air. He carried a shield in his off-hand and his usual sword in his right, he was grinning ear to ear, and absolutely covered in the blood of the abominations.

"You're fighting me Ferrock, make it fun would you?" Achilles taunted, a moment before leaping forward...

Everyone knows its easier to consume than it is too create Well Brunnex did anyway. Manda found himself snapping at thin air. A winged normal-sized Brunnex hovered high above. Just then the Alpha Worm shot out of the ground uppercutting Manda with extreme force.

John did the first thing that came to his head. Once Auron had lifted his leg, only to stand on the blade, John let go immediately. Aurons next move to stab Johns centre mass was also not expected, but John knew Auron would try something. That was why he pushed the sword away with his bracers, while stepping back.

It seemed his original thought of using a Jian seemed much more appropiate now.

*Tourivil seemed genuinely disinterested by the tree attempting to grow around him. Without even seeming to notice, he created a good amount of acid which burned the wood to sad little nubs in a matter of seconds. He stared at his opponent for a second, and the answer came to him. Iron skin. What does iron do so very, very well? Conduct heat.

Without a moments hesitation, he raised the amber tip of his walking stick into the air, where it began to focus the sun's rays, and shoot them in a neat little beam at Taru. Tourivil intended to cook him in his own skin. To protect himself during this process, he created another purple Alzur's shield on his off arm, and held it in front of him. *
