"Dear
Lord Rend Blackflame
The king wishes to inform you, a Lord of Sardo, that our noble capital was laid siege to at some point in the closing hours of the tournament. This attack was instigated in unison with an attack against the small town of Dale.
The latter was reduced to rubble whilst the former was badly damaged. Casualties were large and injuries were in greater number than we could hope for.
The king would like to extend both an offer and issue a request.
The king hereby requests three of your best Orkish craftsmen, you may chose whom it is you pick. The reconstruction of Sardo takes precedent, and whilst it shall be mages doing the cast majority of the work many Orks and Dwarves shall be employed for the design of the new accommodation and shopping areas. These men shall be paid handsomely, but should be ready to tolerate open-proximety to magic for long durations of time.
The king also offers an invitation to the Royal Palace, whilst he would most like to come and visit New Orkonaso but he fee;s that his city needs him right now. Whilst staying at the palace you would be given the highest treating, and your Lordship would be made final. You are under no obligation to accept this most generous offer and it shall not hurt your standing with his majesty if you do.
A reply is expected on return of this messenger.
Yours sincerely
H.B. Hatesmith royal scribe of King Izandi II”
This letter was delivered to Lord Blackflame's hand by a small Elven warrior, he refused outright to deliver anywhere else and would stand around silently until a replying letter is given to him.

Fen nodded, Shang seemed odd but Fen knew not to pry into a man's business.
"I never knew my dad, left the day I was born." Fen attempted to relate to Shang's loss of a family...

“You could say we have something in common then.” Shang concluded rubbing his neck which had sprung a sudden itch. He smiled in a friendly way.

"Not really, your parents passed away. My dad's just a dickhead." Fen didn't seem to like this conversation after all, he sighed heavily then changed the conversation; "So, you're a fighter? I'm guessing from your clothes and that."

Rend had just sent the Gork brothers away to start their work when an elvish messenger arrived in the throne room.
He began to lick his lips in the direction of the elf before he was handed a letter. Rend took his time reading the letter as literacy was never his strongest attribute.
When done he got his servants to bring back the Gork brothers, and to gather a the third best and brightest craftsman in the entire city.
When the three men arrived they stood before Rend.
"Know dis' our king needs our assistance to help in repairs on the kingdom's capital. How do you three feel about magic?"
The trio all made disgusted faces, clearly not in favour of magic. Before they could speak Rend spoke for them.
" I take it you thre' don't like magic.... I guess your going to have to stuck it up then, Orks don't complain. Pack whatever you will need and met' me and dis' Elf at the front gates, we will ride for the capital in haste. "
Soon the three men and Rend, as well as their little Elf messenger companion were set and ready at the front gates of the city. All of the Orks had large packs laid on massive Ork horses, making the elf look rather small by comparison. Rend needed no guard for this trip, as if someone were to attack them there was no way he would allow anyone else to kill the attackers. He also took the time to entrust the city's defences and palace's construction to a young but promising Ork by the name of Gerkzlak' he was not as good as the Gork brothers would be but then again an improvement on the current city would not be the hardest task in the world... and if he failed Rend would kill him and eat him, something he let the young Ork know before he left.
The party left the city as soon as they were all in agreement, they rode for the capital.

*The Elf rode on a much smaller horse behind the large Orks. Ever silent, just focused on getting back home.*
(Just to say travelling on horseback, that far would take appropriately three days. Thats if you take the main roads, and at a decent pace.)

John fought another dragonling, feeling the same amount of remorse as he did. While he was a killer, he didn't like ending the life of an animal if it could be helped. Animals like rabbits, chickens and other often eaten animal he didn't care about, it was the ones who were simply protecting their young. Still, he saw Faolins nod before his ported, most likely joining Tourivil. That reminded him, wolf meat did taste rather nice.
After he'd finished cleaning his blade, he teleported to Sardo, changing his robes to one of a warrior, with a hood that hid his face. He changed his staff into a polearm, and set about the city, walking around almost aimlessly, learning what he could.

Faolin chuckled; "Of course not, the weather is an interesting topic if discussed amongst the right crowd."
He did however see that this was going nowhere; "So Tourivil, May I ask why it is that you asked for a University to be built to train mages?" It was an innocent enough question, yet it would help Faolin better understand Tourivil. With any luck he was more talkative than his master had been.

Because every other major nation I've been to has them. It makes Sardo look like an uneducated backwater, which frankly it is. Thought I'd help out in some small way. *Tourivil said with a shrug. *

“Odd though that some of the greatest Mages have come from here.” Brunnex said “Luck or some long speech about hardship though I suppose one could say plenty of great mages have come from other places too.”

"Sardo has definately produced some of the strongest mages in history. Quite frankly its a military powerhouse on the whole.
Perhaps that because there isn't a horde of mages running about with really dangerous knowledge. Who knows, this college could change that."

So then it prevents the nation from expanding to much. Either way, everyone wins. And Sardo has produced the strongest mages, in history told by Sardo. Something to keep in mind. *Tourivil said frankly. *

"True. Though I fear to see a country produce many mages stronger than Strange.
Anyway, expansion is good. It gives fools and imbeciles more room to stay out of my way." Faolin smirked.

"History is not made by the survivors my friend, merely written by them." Faolin smiled as he remembered his loss at Hull, that had certainly made history...

Strange did not come from Sardo. *Tourivil stated matter-of-factly. * Anyways, I mostly did it so that the nation of Sardo will actually move forward for once. All it seems to do is constantly murder itself, over and over again. Men in other countries actively joke about it.

"Strange may not have come from Sardo but he spent a decent portion of his life here."
Faolin did chuckle about the other part though, that he could understand.

John was now stood in the palace. How he'd gotten there was anyones guess, but the armour he now wore did help. After all, how many of the palaces guards were really just old men? Using this new tactic, he walked almost freely into some of the inner parts of the palace. He steered clear of those asking for passwords, teleporting where possible.
He wondered if the king would kill him on the spot.

A cloaked man appeared from seemingly nowhere to block John's path; "What's an assassin doing in a royal palace, and give me one reason we shouldn't kill you right here." His identity was totally hidden and yet he clearly had the voice of an elf.

*Tourivil gave a shrug. * I'm not sure where. I would assume somewhere far away, as no one quite like him has ever bee heard of in Sardo. Of course, he could just be very unique. Frankly, I do not know.

"To be fair, its been a while since someone like myself has been seen in Sardo. The same could be said for Brunnex, though I understand your meaning.
The world is a big, wide place. Maybe out there, somewhere far far away there is a whole country of Stranges just sitting staring at each other. Wanting at least one idiot to be snarky too." Faolin smirked, he could just see it now...

"If you say so." Brunnex said unsure of whether Tourivil was giving the whole truth.

“Sardo’s a rough place. Bandits, creatures and all sorts of things roam around. It’s foolish not to. Don’t you know any weaponry or magic?” Shang asked. Fenrir certainly couldn’t get all the way to the temple without some means of protection.

"Your forgetting though, if they were indeed like your master they would have reached a paradoxal state where no one could kill the other. After all, Strange had that special way of refusing to die even when a god wanted it to be so, he truly was a marvellously odd person." Faolin smirked, but he could tell Tourivil was tiring of this conversation.
"So, what do you two think of your new king? Frankly I think the entire tournament was so that he could see the strongest people around."

John smiled, his hand moving away from the swords strapped to his side."I'm not here to kill anyone, just merely investigating. After all, I want to know how the castle is holding up after it was destroyed, and if anythings going to be done for Dale, which I helped save."

"True." Faolin thought before he spoke next, his calm aura become a tad more serious; "Speaking more on the subject though, aside from the three of us and perhaps the Elf I was rather disappointed by the turn out. Even then, I certainly only got a workout in my match against Brunnex, Er're might have proven dangerous if he hadn't suddenly forfeited.
Wouldn't you two agree?"

A gruff voice sounded from behind John, if he were to turn around he would see that three guards had sprouted from seemingly nowhere and now stood with their weapons drawn; "You there, what's your name?"
"He is John, a champion of Sardo." The Elven assassin answered for John.
The guards seemed to think for a moment, they lowered their weapons but still hung around. The one that spoke the first time eyed John up oddly; "What is your purpose in the royal palace old man?"
"He's here to gather intel, using a bad excuse to cover for it. He's just leaving." The Elf lifted a small dagger towards John a little more; "Aren't we, John?"
It was clear that he was not welcome here.
