Iguanas Are Even Cooler

Sardo, a land clad in iron and bound my laws of magic beyond mortal understanding. This is your homeland, or at least the land you now walk. Whatever your reasons for being here by now you should have one thing ingrained, nay, burned into your mind about Sardo; survival of the fittist.

Men fight and die for many reasons here; money, women, for love of war or even simply because they feel the need to. One thing is for sure though, conflict is as common as cattle. Or at least it was before our current King took over, King Izandi II. A brutal, yet much loved, leader has crushed most of the banditry of the land with his united army. He is a tactiful and 'kind' ruler, at least to the public's knowledge. Although tax rates have risen considerably due to the need for money for the expansion of Sardo's military might the public haven't complained much and most see it as necessary to stop another madman like Strange the bloodmage slaughtering them, even though general concesus is that Strange died a hero in the end.

Sardo has grown slightly in size in the past twenty years because Izandi has taken control of portions of other countries by force, there is little they can do against the marshal might of Sardo. For the moment all is silent but four years ago a small envoy of Elves arrived from a far off land and they have been staying at the palace since, it is thought they are new allies made by Izandi but its not been made public at all their real intentions. One thing has been easily gathered from their few sitings outside of the walls, they are no normal Elves.

The country has improved greatly under the new kings gaze, crime is on an all time low, though its still immensely high in our eyes, and most people can afford the taxes, most. The noose has become a common sight in even the smallest of towns since criminals have been handed out harsher punishments, you can get lynched for a lot less these days. Most towns have at least one mage from the royal army protecting them nowadays and the mage is usualy quite competant. Crops grow faster than they used to and disease is almost none existent on the whole, perhaps it is because Sardo pays homage to the new gods but who knows really.

Things you need to know to be an average citizen of Sardo, at least;

The Gods; Sardo was once ruled over by the Greek gods but 20 years ago they were killed in a great battle and new gods rose to power. These three brothers were sons of Hades, whom had become king of the gods, and each claimed a specific throne in olympus plus the powers of many lesser gods. The gods have completly spread across the world now and over 80% of the world accepts them as gods whilst the minority don't, all of Sardo does though so just remember that. It is normal for people to pray to the three of them for guidance etc, pay homage to them with food and the likes.

Lazarus; Although the gods are portrayed as equals it is widely agreed upon that Lazarus is their leader. He rules over the land of Olympus and his domain is the sky. He is depicted as a young powerful warrior wearing golden armour with a lightning bolt embelished on the armour. He annexed the gods; Zues, Ares, Apollo, Hephaestus, Hera and many of the minor gods. On the whole Lazarus is prayed to specifically for blessings of; Valor and skill in battle, good childbirth, skill in weaponsmithing etc.

Brun; Ruler of the sea and once fully mortal. Brun's ascension is a point of great pride for humanity, as it proves that no matter where one is through great effort they can better themselves, for Brun started as a mere peasent and now he is a god. What better improvemet could be made in one's life? He is usually depicted as a odd looking man with a goatee weilding a Trident. Though in any small temple, or statue built by a Scorpionman he would be of that race because he is Patron god of the Scorpionmen. He annexed the following gods; Poseidon, Athena, Artemis, Hermes, Dionysis, Demeter, Hestia and a few of the minor gods. On the whole Brun is prayed to for blessings ofs; Wisdom, magical might, cures for madness, good grape harvests etc.

Sazh; A silent and emotionless man he rules over the dead and the dying. He is often depicted looking blankly off into the distance with his arms crossed wearing an odd helm. He annexed the gods; Hades, Thanatos, Corymbus and many of the minor gods. On the whole Sazh is prayed to for; Safe passage for the dead to the underworld, healing of wounds and broken bones etc.

War; Over the course of the past two threads there have been many wars which it would take days to explain fully so I'll try to make it short. You may also hear of wars far in the past during your travels, these wars most likely happened before the start of the series and are merely mentioned to flesh the world out a little more.

War with Death; Death, the Horsemen of the Apocolypse was set free and attempted to destroy Sardo atop his mighty Dragon Shakom, god-king of the Dragons. His plans were stopped by the combined efforts of the 'old gods'(Greek ones), the army of Sardo, and the other three horsemen of the Apocolypse(Whom all died in the fight.)

Brun's war march; Brun, when he was mortal, raised an army of Scorpionmen and laid seige to Sardo for a few years. Though he actually done little damage during one of his fights he commited mass Genocide and killed every last Arachnoid, a race of spider people. He was stopped when he simply lost interest and disbanded his army, making a truce with the leaders of Sardo.

Kintera Uprising; A large group of Kintera lead by a powerful Kintera called Shanir which sacked Sardo for a while. They were stopped by Strange the bloodmage in a large battle outside his forest, the leader was the only Kintera to escape.

Resistance; A large group of resistance fighters built a city called Hull and declared war on Sardo, eventually it boiled down to one big fight between the county and Hull, with Strange's forces on their side. The battle was ended when Jet, a powerful Threllos, blew up Hull killing everyone in the process.

War with the gods; a powerful group of mages, warriors, and demons gathered twenty years ago and declared war on the gods themselves, or rather just Hades to start. To the publics knowledge the group was lead by the 'charismatic' Lazarus in an attempts to de-throne his father Hades. It came down to a battle like no other a little bit out of Strange's forest between the two hordes, which ended in the eventual defeat of Hades and in turn the rest of the Olympain gods

Assassin's guild; In most small town bars, somewhere in the corner probably, you may or may not find someone who is capable of getting in touch with this group of murderers. It may cost you a bit of money, but for the right coin they will kill anyone. Hell 20 years ago they assassinated the King of Sardo, destroying the capital city in the process.

Templar's Order;Once a major threat to the mages the king 'stumbled' upon their secret base 13 years ago and most of them were killed in the battle that ensued. Their old leader vanished without warning, thought to have been killed by the assassin's guild, and left them in disrepair. They are little more than a small blight now, pestering mages every so often.

After the time skip:

b]Notes on Elven controlled regions:[/b] Moving around in land controlled by the Elves is highly dangerous because they constantly have large patrols moving around the country, both looking for the Resistance wherever they are hiding and moving from place-to-place. Attacking an Elven stronghold, or even a patrol, will not go unnoticed no matter how stealthily you do it and unless you're very quick about your business reinforcements will come to screw you over.

Towns and such controlled by the Elves are actually mostly left to their own devices as usual, so long as the townspeople show no wish to fight their new Elven masters they are left alone to live normal lives as much as possible. The Elves do, however, do random spot checks for any hidden-mages or Resistance members and will take any discovered individuals off to a camp, or on failure to do that will kill the individual. In cases where a town needs to trade with other towns to survive the Elves will overview the transactions heavily but will allow trade to continue, there are even cases where Sardonian villages have been struggling greatly and the Elven soldiers stationed there have lended a hand, be it magically or by securing new trade-routes ect. All in all for an army of foreign invaders the Elves aren't actually that bad, so long as your docile and not a mage.

Teleportation: Teleportation nowadays is not a wise idea, and any mage capable of teleportation would have learned that the hard way by now. Teleportation, even the smallest teleportations, require a sizeable amount of magic and using such a level of magic never goes unnoticed by the Elves and quickly brings a squad of Elves down around your head, and that's not something that usually ends well for Sardonians. The same goes for the Elves though, the Resistance monitors the land for Teleportation and makes note of it meaning that when the Elves use teleportation, which is surprisingly rare, we can take a guess as to what they're up to.
(Please note, teleporting really isn't advisable when any other option is available and will most likely draw the wrath of any body with a lick of sense upon their learning of you doing it, as well as a group of Elves sent to kill or capture you.)

The Elves themselves: It's plain to all that these Elves are unlike Sardonian Elves in many ways, the most notable of which is their unnatural strength. Every Elf appears to be a rather competent mage and a deft swordsman, in fact many have noted them to be of equal if not greater strength of body, mind and magic as that of a Kintera. Couple this with the fact that not one of them appears to be older than twenty five years old and as such in the prime of their youth and that makes them a seemingly unbeatable foe. Their speaking manner is very formal, though there seems to be a division amongst them of two particular parties; the first side seem like genuinely pleasant individuals whilst the others are often rude or sarcastic when addressing Sardonians. In the same way the two sides deal with enemies quite differently; although neither group would falter in killing an enemy, the former group would at least try to capture them first whilst the latter wouldn't bother.

Their arms and armour are crafted to a level on par with both Orkish sturdiness and Dwarven beauty, if not a little superior to both. Their armour is uniform amongst all the Elves and is shaped like interlocking leaves and is light green in colour, it is very light and barely seems to restrict their movement at all. Their weapons of choice are a one-handed sword with a shield in their free hand, or a long-bow made of a strange purple-black wood that allows them to shoot arrows far-farther than any other archer on record(Other than Krom of course). Their swords are of a longsword design usually but are all slightly designed to suit the user, as well as being a vast range of vibrant colours.

The Elves fight like zealots and will do all they can, including committing suicide if all else fails, to avoid capture. If by some stroke of luck an Elf is captured alive and is stopped before he can kill himself physically they perform a strange mental-process that renders them a lobotomite with absolutely no memory of anything, making them useless prisoners. If, by some uncommon method, an Elf is made unable to use this technique then they will do all else they can before giving up even the smallest scrap of information. Physical torture is pointless, not even a Demon could break one of these Elves given a decade. Mentally the Elves are stronger than most human minds can grow, but they're not impossible to break under normal circumstances.

Religion: Although the Elves do not follow the Three they have no problem at all with Sardonians carrying out worship, they even allow some travelling to shrines etc under guard. Surprisingly they have made absolutely no attempt whatsoever to take over the temple of the Three, nor have they even stationed soldiers near it at all.

Other-worldly interaction; The Gods have made no attempt to help the Sardonians at all, neither has any other spirit or demon, it as if the spiritual worlds and the mortal worlds have been blocked from contacting one another. If you have an other-worldly character please mail me before you do anything to interact with the mortal world, otherwise; nane of that pish

Reported Casualties from the last war: It is important to note that if you haven't been active in the war effort very much then Sardo probably thinks your dead, either from the last big battle or because of the Elves, and as such when you resurface they may be a little shocked by your presence, or even not believe you are actually the person you claim to be if they don't have previous first hand experience with you. People that are certainly presumed dead are:

Sir Tillion
Lord Rend Blackflame
Shane Wickerwol(Though not well known around Sardo)
Tourivil
Lao(Though not well known around Sardo)
Lord Blightly
Fenrir Shalza(Though not well known around Sardo)
Toun
(If your character has not been active in the war I'll be adding his name here after your post stating so.)

Magic;Ah, magic. By far the most complicated thing ever conceived, beings have spent centuries trying to decipher its secrets and yet only scratched the surface. Even the masters of magic Strange, Brun, Tao and their ilk were only masters in their own arts and even they did not learn all that could be learned about their own professions of magic. Simply put however, when magic is cast it draws from a reserve of magic inside a persons body. This pool varies from race to race, person to person in size but through training can be increased. An important thing to note is that although someone may have an amazing amount of magic they are not automatically a mage, a mage is someone who can control magic not just someone with a monsterous reserve. Most races, bar Dwarves and Orks, are born with at least small amounts of innate magic in their bodies but few can actually harness their magical reserve and of those people even fewer can do anything but basic spells. Draining all of the magic from your body, or anything, will cause that thing to die/explode/implode and is usually avoided by mages as its rather dangerous to do so. There are many types of magic and it takes a lifetime, and a tad of maddness so some say, to even become semi-effecient at a single school of magic. Magic may come in an almost unlimited number of forms but the most common are; Simple spellcasting, fireballs, lightning etc. Runes and Glyphs, these take time and effort to craft but once constructed can do complicated tasks relatively easily and are rather good for traps or seals. Blood magic, this has become more common among bandits lately, basically you use blood as a condiut to harness your magic through but its a dam dangerous magical art and a hard one to master. Hand signed releasments, using quick series of hand signs you can perform set moves to varying degrees, good for non-mages that want an extra edge but the moves are usually high-magic requirement and the hand-signs take a while to get used to plus give your enemy time to attack you. As I said these are just a few of the many forms magic can take, be creative, branch out, have fun! (OCC); I have put a restriction on some spells for this thread as I feel it gives whoever casts them a far to large unfair advantage;

Opening portals to other dimensions THAT ALTER TIMELINES, i.e you can't go to another dimension for three years and come back to have three days passed. Even opening non-time altering portals is immensely hard and beyond the capabilities of all but the strongest, smartest, and most insane mages.

Supernova, restricted personally by Brunty you cannot create a sun as a form of attack as this is a trademarked move and its immensely dangerous and can result in the creation of a dark hole that could destroy the earth.

Age spells, You cannot alter your age in anyway or at least not your real age, you can make yourself look young sure but really but you are still the same age. You cannot avoid death by aging forever.

Immortality, No. No one is immortal, not truly. You cannot make yourself totally immune to any form of attack, sure you can raise magical barriers that increase your resistance to them but that draws from your rerserve which will eventually run out and you can be harmed again. People age, people die, people bleed; get over it.

'Aura', whilst reading the thread you may come across three people whom posses a strange form of magic which has a physical manifestation. This has major drawbacks and was introduced last thread, its backstory is complicated but simply put you cannot have one of these.

Chanting in the ancient langauge, the langauge of ye olde times was so powerful that even speaking it caused great magical things to happen. This is a rare magic known only to few, all Kintera know EVERY word of the langauge.

Clone techniques, they come in many a variety but after the recent mis-conduct in the use of clones I am adding them to this list. You may, of course, have a character that commonly uses clones as a distraction/diversion or even to fight for them all the time. However, two things you must know. Creating clones that maintain their form after being hurt is immensely hard, and usually not possible using conventional cloning techniques, but is not impossible. Keeping clones running is a constant drain on your magic, characters with low amounts of magic may struggle to constantly be re-producing clones as well as keeping them active. Second point, the use of clones now must be stated within your post. The enemy may not know that it is a clone, but it is nigh on godmodding simply going through several posts of a fight, taking a hit and then 'revealing' it was a clone the entire time. I will no tolerate this, as it is an immensely cheap, annoying, and frustrating tactic to fight against in thread. There is no need to declare a clone if you are fighting your own NPC/character since it will not be interfering with any one else's ability to hit you.

God/higher beings; I am not outlawing the interaction with beings of a spirtual nature, if that is part of your side-story etc then do so. I am however warning you, all of you, that no being, dark entity or great spirit, is stronger than the gods. The gods are just that GODS, the most powerful beings in existence and any attempt to make beings of equal or stronger power will result in one of two reprecussions; A) Open conflict against the gods with these beings will result in their destruction. B) Terrorising the thread/other posters with them will result in the same as above but perhaps a ban from the thread. Please, by all means your charecter may think that the beings are as strong as gods, they may state it, the beings themselves may state and believe it. But they are not, ever.

Races(For all those new to the series);

Humans; Work it out yourselves.

Elves; More slender looking than humans and far more angular faces, much healthier looking on the whole. They are generally good archers and mages but lack the same physical structure as humans at birth meaning it would require more training to be a good melee fighter.

Orks; Tall green humaniods that reach about 7 feet sometimes with ease. Their size and bulk make them great front line fighters and match this with their inhuman stregnth and they are pretty much your damage dealing kind of guys. The active use of magic causes them varying degrees of pain. It varies from Ork to Ork, some are totally incapicated by even the slightest tinge of magic whilst others get mere headaches at it. Every Ork without fail is however weak to it and will always feel pain around magic, when around any half decent spells they will really feel the pain no matter what.

Threllos; The green scaled-fish like people of Lake Loki. They are human in size and all of them are exactly five feet tall. They have the ability to breath both air and water making them adaptive assassins but their main skill lies in the arcane art. Few mages ever dream of matching a Threllos magicaly, even the weakest of them are rather formidable mages. They are quite weak melee wise and don't have the best eyesight ever making them shoddy archers. Whilst on the topic of eyes it should be mentioned that they cannot blink both large, black eyes at once. Their faces are very circular, their heads can be compared to squashed looking eggs with green fins on their face that resemble mutton chops in a way, these act as their gills.

As the Threllos are so strong a people it was decided long ago that they would be graded as to make it easier to keep track of their enormous magical energy, each Threllos is tested at birth to see how much magic they have etc.

Rank V: Strong mages yes but only because they are Threllos.

Rank IV: These are pretty much your average mage soldier, at least one is plonked into most squads in order to ensure at least some magical defences are used in combat.

Rank III; These guys are a force to be reckoned with. Their power has reached the upper limit of what the other races are normally capable of. Few Threllos make this grade but the ones that do usually possess at least an average level of physical ability as well.

Rank II; These are top dogs in the military. They are pretty dam powerful and feared in Sardo. These men and women are feared and revered as people with beastly powers to anyone who has heard of a fraction of their power. Very few Threllos attain this rank.

Rank I; Then there are those that exceed even the power of Rank IVs. These men, as there have only ever been two who had been worthy of this rank and both have been male, are very dangerous. They are not part of the army at all, one is a doctor/healer whilst the other and thought to be more powerful Rank V is a dangerous criminal wanted by the state. His power is godlike and nothing stands in the way of something he wants. Both of them, the libary keeper was in his youth when he done so, once killed several hundred Rank IV's. For different reasons of course.(YOU MAY NOT BE ONE.)

Ferrocks; Scaled-winged humanoids that often match Orks in height but are generally as bulky as a human. Their scales interlock and form a rather apt set of armour meaning few actually wear armour at all. Their wings are quite compact and can be tucked quite tightly into their backs but are quite the weak spot since they are not armoured at all. Ferrocks are immensely feirce melee fighters, often hailed as the best in the land actually but every last one of them refuses to use magic of any kind and 99% of them find ranged combat cowardly. They are immensely proud warriors and will rarely give up in a battle they still believe they have a minute chance of winning. Ferrocks have a special pledge called a 'life-bond' that they hold in religous regard. Basically if a Ferrock feels the complusion, or rather the need to then they may pledge themselves to the service of someone meaning that they must do absolutely anything that person tells them to do until either party of the pledge dies. The Ferrock would also rather give their own life than let their pledge-owner die. It is the ultimate honour for a Ferrock to offer this and most would simply not do so in their lives. Another 'ritual' you should know about Ferrocks that every male, on their 18th birthday is given the right from that day forward to challenge his father to a fight. Besting their father in said fight is the final act of entering manhood and most take the challenge up on the day of their birthday, the fights are not too the death but severe cases as such have happened in the past.

Scorpionmen; The lower half of these beings are entirely scorpionlike, legs, sting and all but starting from the waist up is a usually muscular human with arms and a normal head etc. Their sting is generally several inches long and quite sharp, though the main danger of it is that each scorpionman produces a varying lethality of poison, the weakest causing numbness and slight pain and the strongest causing death within a few hours and immense pain before hand, though affects are varied. Once weak beings they became far stronger when the mortal Brun modified their make-up to make them better soldiers, now they are just as strong as your average human though a tad stupider. They generally live in small tribes but have adapted to city life now.

Kintera; 'Fallen Elves' It is a long winded and very overly complicated story how these beings came to be but suffice to say that they are evil spirits capable of inhabiting Elven bodies. These spirits are several hundred years old and immensely strong mages, though sunlight harms the weaker ones a little the stronger ones can stand freely in it without fear or harm. Generally they are the strongest mages around except for Threllos. A Kintera is truly 'born' when the spirit invades an Elven body, a clash of wills takes place and if the Kintera wins then they gain complete control of the Elven body and their own magical energy fills the body making it far stronger both physically and magically. Kintera have light grey skin and generally dark hair, most are evil but its possible there is some nice(er) ones.

Dwarves; Short humanoids with large beards, your average Dwarf really. Good with axes and hammers, ideal for long sprinting at medium pace etc. Most Dwarven minds are pre-destined to be great crafters as the best armour and weaponry is made by Dwarves, nearly matched by the Orks in effectiveness but Dwarven craft is by far the most beuatiful whilst retaining practical use. Not much else can be said about these little folk other than they like tunnels and mountains. In history there has been a single Dwarven mage, who was incredibly insane and lived a rather short life; NO DWARVEN MAGES.

Region;

Sardo(Country); Sardo is a hopelessly large country with many different regions though it is usually a grassy place with a mass host of different flora and fuana ranging from ones from our world to indiginous ones that make their home only in this world. To cross the country from north to west it would take a month or so on horseback, yes the county is just that large, and almost the same amount of time from east to west. At the far southren edge of Sardo is a mountain range called the Talor Lok mountains, home to Farra'Kull the Dwarven capital amongst countless other Dwarven cities that lie almost timeless under the earth. To the north is the great sea, a vast expanse of water that few travel on because its end is miles upon miles away and it is inhabited by rather dangerous sea beasts making ocean travel hard. Other than that the country varies in terrain, hilly fields are as common as dry plains so you're pretty free to describe a multitude of areas though its safe to say that the north-east is generally nice and the south-west is quite dry etc. There is a large lake just north of Sardo(Capital) called Lake Loki which holds Throll in its depths, the rest of the cities are above ground other than the Dwarven ones.

Sardo(Capital city); Sardo; This is located almost directly in the centre of the country. Being the capital means that it is quite obviously large, the second largest city in the entire coutry actually. Its your classic medievil capital, large walls and hovels at the edge and the further into the city you get the bigger and better the houses get. Buying a mansion situated a few hundred feet from the Royal palace would cost you the hefty sum of around ten soverigens, a sum that most families would take several hundred generations to gather. The high walls are constantly patrolled by mages and archers making attacking this city almost 100% suicidal if you're in great number. The main gate is gaurded heavily by Threllosian mages but once inside its just your average gaurds patrolling the streets in normal armour.

Farra'Kull (Direct description from Koalas by myself); This is located in the Talor Lok mountains in the south edge;"The city itself sparkled with brilliance, the dim light caught onto the glare of thousands of different gemstones every minute. The hustle and bustle of the dwarves was something too be in awe at, walking from place too place with relative speed with all manner of things clutched in their arms the dwarves all seemed too be hard at work. The children, like in all the rumours of this place, did indeed seem too be wrestling in great numbers of head-sized gems and even the cave wall sparkled with gems that had not yet been mined. Many laterns seemed to dot the city all over in all different colours. In reality these were paper laterns lined with a very thin layer of crystals too give it colour, it was then filled with a very light gas that is commonly found in these mountains so that they floated. They were hung outside of shops, in peoples houses, and too the dwarven people they symbolised good health and fortune. Too say there was an overabundance of them was a great understatment. The lowest level was where all the real activity could be seen but if one looked closely enough they would see that there was actually stair leading from the main part of the city too small outcrops of the cavern walls, on these outcrops were large complexes which held all a certain clan. The complexes varied in size and design but commonly the bigger clans had better citadels. However the most spectucular veiw was the one nestled in the very back of the city. Stretched even higher then the buildings that dwarved other Sardonion houses and such in size, which some may find ironic as Dwarves need the least space too survive, was the palace. It was large and was planted directly onto the cavern wall with a solid stone wall surrounding the open sides, leaving room for only one gate which gleamed softly revealing it was in fact made of diamond and not stone. The palace itself was around 30 stories high, an insane structure for this era, and contained everything a king could ever need. As well as several meeting halls, a floor for the most important clans and a few private qaurters from guests of great reknown. At the very top of this palace was a gem the size of which should be legend. The great diamond was a dwarven treasure and had been on top of the palace for as long as anyone remembers. It is the largest known, natural, stone in the world and is constantly being cleaned and shined by Dwarves."

New Orkonaso;New Orksonaso was built upon the wreck of Orkonaso at the very western egde of the country. Mostly consisting of forges and blacksmiths Orkonaso produces around 80% of the weaponry of Sardo. Orkish craft isn't the prettiest but its reliable and strong. The city is built in a circular fashion and most of the houses are one level and made of dark stone. There is not much to say on this city other than it is almost entirely inhabited by Orks and therfore an almost magic-free zone.

Throll; This is the most beautiful city in the country, few outside the Threllos have ever set eyes on the large dome which protects the city from the water, although the Threllos can breathe both water and air they prefer to live under water. The city itself is incredibly large, the largest city in the country. Protected by the thousands of tonnes of water held within Lake Loki its a perfectly defendable spot for the Threllos since they are by far the most dangerous race in all of Sardo.

The temple of the three; A massive temple in honour of the gods, Lazarus, Sazh and Brun. Built on the site of Shang Tao's fortress it stretches into the sky for roughly four storys, a great height for this age. The outside is pearl white and simply a block of white stone built into the side of the mountain, though near its base. Inside there is three levels, the first floor is a watery lush area devoted to Brun. The bottom level is a crypt like place devoted to Sazh and finally the top floor is devoted entirely to Lazarus.

Strange's forest; A deep and lush forest where the trees stretch far, far into the sky. Few men travel to or from here as its hazarous to outsiders. This is located in the southwestern side of Sardo, a few tens ofmiles from the Great Sea.
Desertman city; A large group of desertmen started a small walled city roughly two decades ago, it is situated north of Strange's temple, though not very far. The inhabitants rarely leave their town other than to farm the lands or to hunt in the nearby forests etc. Trade routes between them and other towns are scarce as most people fear their connection to Strange's forest.

Summer Star, keep of Lord Emmon Troy: (Direct description from Iguanas.): "Nearing the southern border of Sardo, the land became healthier and greener than any other part of the land, it was a known fact that the south was the most beautiful part of Sardo, and it was no surprise that this was where the Lord Emmon Troy had inherited his keep. The hold of Summer Star was amongst the largest, richest, and most extravagent of all of the keeps, holds, and other places of high-born nobility in all of Sardo.

Most of the land outside of the keep itself, for miles around belonging to Lord Troy, was farmland and was worked by the peasants that called Lord Troy their protector and Lord. The soil was fertile, and produced commodities like grapes, which were in turn processed into fine wines, wheat, fruits and vegetables. Anything worth selling, and at high price, was grown here, and at the very best of quality.

As you neared the centre of the area owned by Lord Troy, it became highly obvious where he called home. A huge town, not quite a city, was guarded by a medium sized stone wall, and in the centre of the town was a huge stone wall behind which lay a sandstone castle almost as large as the royal palace itself. The town itself was like no normal peasant town, but instead was inhabited by rich traders and merchants, by master craftsmen and other sort workers. The buildings were all made of well worked wood, and most rose to two or three stories, yet the buildings were still in a town-like formatation, that being all side by side leaving barely any real walking space other than the standard walking path that cut the town apart. That being said, the roads of Summer Star were not simple beaten dirt, but instead were made of well-preserved stone blocks that could rarely be seen to have a crack.

Even in the air in the city was sweet, be it from the smell of fresh fruit, or the many perfumes worn by the residents, or from the local bakeries that were constantly rolling out tray after tray of delicious treats. The noise of the blacksmiths anvils was often drowned out by the singers and bards within the taverns, of which there was a constant ebb and flow of into the city. Crime was almost none-existent, due to the citizens being wealthy already, but any crimes that were committed were punished severely by Lord Troy's guards. It was not a paradise, but it was pretty dam close if you were rich enough to afford the life style.

The keep itself was plain on the outside, several banners hung from standards on the wall displaying the gilded tower on a red background that was the Troy family crest, but not much else could be said for the outside of the keep. The inside was a lavish as the royal palace, often it was said to be even more extravagant actually, and there was always a sea of servants attending to the keep's occupants. Lord Troy, his wife, and their two remaining children ruled the keep, just as Lord Troy's forebears had done for generations before him, and just as his son's sons would long after he was gone. The keep was well guarded, soldiers in shiny red armour constantly patrolled the walls and the hallways making sure no intruder could get near their Lord."

People of note;

King Izandi II; The current Ruler of the country. He is an Elf in his early fourties and his ruled the country for just over 20 years now. He is much loved by the public, and much feared by the criminal underworld for his rutheless punishments and his ability to hunt down any threat no matter no small.

Sir Tillion; One of the head knights of the Royal army, once a member of the Elder council, the old governing body of the country, he now lives most of his life moving from skirmish to skirmish. He is loved even more than the king by the public and is known to be a wise and tactful Elf, favouring gaining allies over fighting he is more level headed than the king.

Sin; The king's 'son'. Few understand the real relationship between the two men but he seems to truly believe he is the Elf-kings son, even though he looks older and is a Threllos. Either way he is an extremely powerful mage, the most powerful in existence actually, and protects the king from all attacks.

Jet; The second most powerful mage alive, also a Threllos. He is a scarred Threllos often seen carrying many blades, he is brash and arrogant but for good reason.

Toun; The third most powerful mage, once again a Threllos, unlike his fellow rank 1 Threllos Jet he favours healing magic and is the most highly acheived doctor alive today. His healing abilities are almost godlike, if you're not instantly dead then he can probably heal your wound.

Hamish; Ex-king of the Dwarves he now serves as a General in the army. Few Dwarves even acknowledge him anymore as he commited an act of great dishonour by handing the Dwarven throne over to King Izandi 20 years ago.

Marrok; A crimson red Ferrock, a brutally strong swordsman he has fully grown up now from the brash youth he had once been. He serves now as a co-general with his brother in charge of the Ferrock battaleons of the royal army.

Gamo; Marrock's brother and the only known pure golden Ferrock. Perhaps amongst the greatest swordsman of his age Gamo is wise and known to be perhaps the most friendly and peace loving of all of the ex-council members. He is however a horribly feirce warrior and few have survived a clash with him when he is serious.

Lord Emmon Troy, a high-Lord of Sardo known well in the King's court and in the circle of rulers that help the King govern Sardo. He is a well aged, shrewd man that is renowned as a great general, and a fair but stern Lord to his people.

Dead people you should know about;

Shang Tao; Ex leader of the Royal army, he was immensely powerful and a tactful man. After the battle of the resistance vs. Sardo he sort of went half mad and declared open war on Hades, he was later joined by the rest of the Sinful Ensemble, a group of Super-powered men and demons, and together they defeated Hades. Though Shang Tao was killed by Hades in the process. His dragon Bahamut is said to still roam the lands destroying all in its path in a mad rage.

Strange the blood mage; A figure of nothing less than pure terror for the people of Sardo. He terrorised the country side for years upon years with his group of fellow blood mages. He however went a bit more loopy and built a large forest in Sardo, then went on to do many great, and some terrible, things for Sardo including helping defeat Hades. It is unknown what happened to him but he has not been seen for 20 years.

Faolin; Ex-leader of the resistance and known to be re-born as a 'Dragon Rider', a man bonded mentally and physically to a Dragon. He died in the battle of Hull but was reportadly seen flying over Sardo the day of the battle with the gods, he has not been seen since and is presumed dead.

Now kids, have fun, play nice and lets have a good ol' time!

(#First post, so you don't think this is part of the thread. ^ was last section.)

" Come one, come all!!!
If this invitation has found its way to you then you have been granted the honour at a chance to compete in the very first annual Tournament of Sardo! If you wish to accept this most gracious invitation then please come to Dale's newly renovated Arena to compete in the fight of your life! You will become part of the team invited to challenge the king's personal team, if you survive which you will be granted the grand prize of 15 Gold Soverigeins, plus a prize far greater. You may ask his royal highness King Izandi II one favour, that if within his power he will grant you. Lordship, power, land or trinkets, your imagination is the boundries of such a prize!

The Tournament shall be held on the first of the next month and will last three days."

This message was scrawled across a old looking parchement that was delivered, rather amazingly, only to people that were A) worthy of joining and B) actually going to join. Technically speaking every letter that was sent out was going to get a positive reply, which was the kings plan. (If you want to compete in the tournament, simply receive the letter and make your way to the town of Dale. It is situated near the south side of Sardo, it is a grassy area with a small town not really worthy of note at all. However just outside the town is a large colosseum built by a strange man, now presumed dead, named Brom. It is a replica of the real colosseum and was recently re-worked into its original condition for this tournament. Arrive in the town first if you wish but on arrival to the arena doorsI shall greet you.)

----

King Izandi himself was staying in the royal chambers of arena. Originally the arena hadn't even had any rooms at all, they had built a long wing onto the western edge containing around thirty small rooms for contestants to stay in.

Today was the third last day of the month, meaning in four days the tournament would begin(I.E when I think everyone that is going to join it has joined us.) and they would carry on for the afforementioned three days. The fights would be spread over the three days. Each 'team' would be comprised of the same number of people, on one side all of the contestants and on the other would be the king's team of elite soldiers. It was to be a fun and public event, many peasents would attend and watch from the 'safety' of the stands as the fighters duked it out in a series of different fights

Some twenty years ago...

Pound! Pound! Pound! He was Earthshaker anew! Pound! Pound! Pound!

Brun stood upon a mighty mountain chiselling stone blocks with his bare hands from the rock face. When a block was done Shilack would load it upon Izallia and Izallia would fly it back to the hill and deposit it where a small guard of helpful desertmen stood making sure the large blocks too heavy too be carried by mortals were not stolen. Brun supposed they did this as a thank you to him for building their walls. There was no real thanks required after all it was the most he could do after using them like that.

***

There stands a square structure of stone upon a grassy hill in Sardo. It can only be of about fifteen feet in height and twelve by twelve feet in area. There is no door but there is one stone block that is in the shape of a door at the front. Chiselled there is a message in English:

Here lies:
An Enemy of the State.
A Friend of the Forest.
A Blood Mage.
A Great Leader.
A Dread Mummy.
A Scholar.
A Nameless Pile of Rags
And
A Good Friend.

They gave their lives to save others.
Twice.

Enemies beware,
Close proximity may cause your flesh to melt.

***

Brun concentrated finding the magic flowing to his fingertips with much ease. His power was immense and illogical. He had come far from the limitations of man indeed. With his acceptance of the impossibility of limitation he had none.

He stood above and behind the Tower that the Ensemble had created. It was too powerful to leave and a bother to guard. With a sigh he pointed at the tower able to see right through the sandstorm that raged around it. His finger moved up and above the tower. The sandstorm stopped abruptly and all the sand was returned to the ground by gravity. A blue bubble no greater than the diameter of a basketball had appeared where he was pointed. This was the remainder of the magic left from the Tower. Enough to cause great havoc especially if it had continued to rise. It would no longer though now that he had stopped the sandstorm around it.

With a motion of his finger the bubble flew to him and, with a sucking noise, entered his torso. He raised his right hand palms to the heavens. A smell red speck appeared above his hand. He appeared to be thinking for a while before the speck inflated into a small ball of a centimetre diameter. He threw it at the base of the Tower.

There was a long moment before anything happened and then with a bang many things happened all at once including fireworks worthy of Gandalf's attention. A blast converting many metric tonnes of sand into ash and a sudden spurt of water as the crater created by the blast reached so low that the center had dug into an underground river and started a geyser of sorts.

This small amount of water in the vast dry desert pleased Brun. The quantity of water suddenly swelled filling up the great crater (almost as wide as the Grand Canyon) in a matter of minutes. Brun smiled and a wooden post sprung from the ground entitled with the new name of the great lake: Victory Lake.

***

A tall figure made their way through the throng of challengers at the Arena. They were clad in brown robes similar to that of a monk with the hood draped over their face suspiciously. The sheer size and bulk of the being suggested either a Ferrock or Ork a big, bulky Ferrock or Ork. The figure strode up to the wooden table that two knights sat at revealing his gloved hands as he produced a sheet of paper from his robes. He placed the paper on the table without a word.

All applicants must show their face to enter. Said the right Knight in a bored way as if he had already had this discussion.

Did a human of brown eyes arrive here earlier? A low, oboe voice asked from inside the hood.

I'm sorry, pal, but that's not much to go on. Lots of folk have entered with brown eyes. The left Knight explained looking at the being oddly.

There was that one other applicant with the hood. He had brown eyes. Piped up the right Knight.

Oh, yeah. The other Knight realised Had a youth with him too. Must've been about seventeen.

In that case I must see the King immediately. The robed figure said pulling down his hood to reveal the dark face of a male Ferrock. We are all in grave danger.

***

The grave danger rested with his back against the wall inside the Arena's waiting area. He wore a black Gi with a dark blue shirt underneath. This was a recent transition and his former black robes were now held by a robed young man who sat at a table filled with snacks. He continuously ate as if starved.

The youth, who had his hood lowered, had brown hair and a quick look about him. His eyes were a shocking shade of green and distracted from the youths otherwise cool exterior. His composure was usually that of a cold and calculating one but the presence of food had destroyed his resolve.

The grave danger frowned at his young charge as he smoothed his own brown hair. The two could have been brothers if not for the fact that the grave danger had relaxed brown eyes. They could, however, be father and son rather plausibly should the mother have had a very strong green eye gene.

A part from those two there was only one other being in the room. An elf that was nondescript in appearance but gave off an odd vibe that the grave danger did not like...

The nondescript Elf looked at the grave danger with clear interest from the opposite side of the room.

The Elf wore green silk clothing far too fine for someone planning to compete in a fighting tournament. At his side hung a perfectly straight emerald green blade that was encrusted with several gems the most prominent of which was the large one emerald that acted as a pommel.

He stood from his chair to walk over to the Grave danger. He stood before the grave danger and his ward for a moment before dipping his head slightly; "Greetings, I am Er're. Its nice to meet you." He spoke with a civilness rarely seen in Sardo and his face showed emotions of only friendlyness.

Brunnex. The grave danger replied. I'm charmed. Are you one of the foreign elves living up in the Capital? Brunnex asked not wanting to make an enemy of the person until he was quite sure of the elves intentions.

The youth looked up glancing at the elf before continuing to devour the snacks present. He would be done quite soon...

"I am indeed. Myself and my companions have been staying in the....Royal palace for some time now." Ur're seemed to say only what was needed, he stated neither his goal in this country nor much else.

"It seems we have arrived a while ahead of the others." Ur're looked skeptically at the young boy. For a moment his eyes were like a hawks, scanning the youth quizically, then almost as fast his face was blank again.

-----

The Ferrock was brought before the king in his chambers.

The chambers consisted of one King size bed in the corner and a single throne, nothing even decorations hung on the walls. It was merely stone, dark, blank stone surrounding the entire small room.

The king raised an eyebrow at the Ferrock's approach; "What do I owe the pleasure, Mr....?"

Indeed. I was very close when I got the invitation though I would very much like to know how it found it's way to me. Brunnex said pulling his black gloves tighter over each hand.

Shang. Said the youth rising replacing himself on the chair with the robes. He offered his hand to the elf expectantly. Nice to meet you. I have met many elves but, by far, you seem the nicest.

***

The Ferrock bowed in respect. I am Shalor; High Priest of Brun in the Temple of the Three. He bowed again. You are in grave danger. A man has come to this Arena a grave threat to all of Sardo and grave enemy of the Lord Brun.

The Elf shook Shang's hand twice and then retracted quickly; "The king was most....Against myself competing in this competition but I had to insist." He smiled slightly.

------------

Izandi thought for a moment before replying; "I assume this 'great' threat received one of my invitations then?"

As did I for that very reason. Shalor added. I have hunted him for many years and I suspect I was given this as it knew I wanted him dead. Whatever magic it is that you have enchanted the applications with.

Shang bowed and sat down only to receive a slap across the back of the head. Watch my robes, boy! Brunnex scorned. Shang muttered an apology rubbing the back of his head as he sat.

Ur're's eyes narrowed for an instant and then his complacent smile returned.

------

"I see, very well. If this man is such a problem then I shall give you the chance to deal with him as you see fit, you may join my team instead of the other team. In the first round you shall be his opponent, do you find this a fair proposal?" The king raised an eyebrow as he awaited his reply.

------

The letter fell upon the sign-in desk before the guards even noticed the Huge cloaked man appeared.

"All applicants must show their faces to enter." The guard repeated what he had said to the last entrant.

The large man, whom wore a riding cloak covering his head and a black mask shaped like an Opera mask shook his head and spoke in a rough voice; "I will not show my face."

"Then you shall not enter."

"I shall enter." The man lowered his hood only to reveal that the mask covered his entire head, stretching around his entire head it seemed to be made it out some form of leather.

"Your face, not the mask..."

"Understood." The man grabbed the nose of the mask and pulled it off, it trailed off of his face as if it were smoke as he pulled it away revealing his face.

The two guards recoiled slightly but otherwise they nodded; "You may enter....Didn't expect to see someone so..Le-"

The mask was put back upon the man's head, sucking back over his skull like an octopus. The man waved his hand, much like a Jedi, and then walked past the two guards and into the arena door. The two guards looked at each other blankly, neither could remember for the life of them what the man had looked like nor what race he had even been.

The man continued on through the small wooden door of the Arena side entrance, which was on the western side the same as the guest quarters. He walked down a small, well lit corridor and which opened up into the large waiting area.

He saw the Elf and what appeared to be a grave danger but paid them no regard. He took a seat near the left corner of the room.

Ur're hummed slightly; It seems we have another arrival...He feels strange.

*At this point, another arrived at the arena. He was tall, thin, and wore a crude, loosing fitting robe made of a heavy brown cloth. It hung slightly open at the front, showing a rather exotic mail tunic, made of chainmail covered in an orange cloth with small white beads in it, making geometric patterns. A sword belt could be seen, and ivory hand protruding from his right side. A turban covered his head, a cloth neck cover hanging from the rear of it. A rather large gold medallion was clipped to the front of the turban, and he would occasional straighten it with a gloved hand.

His face was tanned to a very dark shade, and he had lost half of one of his pointed ears some how. Scars crossed his cheeks, and it looked as though sand had torn away some his his skin at some point. He was still obviously an elf, but it appeared that he had not had an easy time of it. He walked with a stave made of a massive bone, inlaid with gold rings every few inches. The head of the stave was a bronze spear point, large and leaf bladed. He walked to the arena gates, and wordlessly dropped his invitation, which appeared to have been folded up in a pocket for some time, on the desk. *

*The city of the desertmen was dominated by low, stone buildings, and high stone walls. From the outside, all one could see were the walls, and the temple of the desert father, rising in the center. The city was entirely self sufficient. The population, which was in the process of exploding, grew all of its own food, herded its own animals, had several wells inside the walls, it own quarry, and some iron mines in the nearby hills. Though, the still had not exhausted the supply of iron and steel from the nearby battlefield from two decades ago. They lived reasonably good lives, even if they did spend most of their free time training. Strange had said that sword arms must be kept strong, and the word of strange was law. Young men learned to be soldiers from the veterans, priest recruits trained nearly constantly. The young city seemed to buzz with activity. Except on the mornings of every third day. Then, the streets around the Temple of the Desert Father would fill with the faithful. The temple, a large, circular stone tower, could not hold everyone, thus, the remainder spilled into the streets, and priests would preach from balconies down to them. The tower also served as the headquarters of the priesthood, and they kept their sacred relics underneath it. The demon sword which had pierced strange's chest, still stained with his blood, several scraps of cloth, presumed to be from his bandages or robe, and finally, his warspear. All these were locked away, and guarded night and day....*

What?! Shalor demanded. This man is a grave threat to us all. You must help me destroy him before he destroys everyone else. Shalor couldn't believe the King was serious. He had seen what Brunnex could do and no-one here could stop him on their own.

***

Brunnex eyed the new figure but said nothing to him. Strange but most are. He replied.

Shang didn't even look up crossing his arms across his chest in a huff. He glared sullenly at the wall.

The guard looked at the Strange Elf for a moment before nodding his head; "In you go, sir. Right through that door."

-

Er're nodded; This country seems to attract oddities in the dozens. Er're nodded once more to Brunnex and then he departed towards the new comer.

He stood in front of the large man for a moment before dipping his head as he had done with Brunnex; Greetings, I am Er're.

The man's head moved slightly as if to show that the Elf had been noticed, a low grunt came from behind the mask.

Er're raised an eyebrow; I see, silent type?

A small burst of laughter, a single scoff really, escaped the mask but nothing else.

Er're smiled and turned away; Let's hope its the strong silent type. He deposited himself on a chair near the north side of the room.

-
I offer you a chance to do so yourself, is this not fair? The king smirked as he noticed something behind Shalor.

A moment later a daunting power made itself known in the room and a young Threllos walked passed Shalor playing with some sort of box puzzle. His hands moved like a child as he turned the thing around attempting to find out its secrets. He walked over to stand next to the king and began to bend his legs. As he done so a smaller throne formed from the air and became his seat.

The king smiled; My son, Sin. Sin was most obviously not his son; So, my offer is fair no?

Shalor frowned looking from Threllos to King to Threllos again and sighed. Fine but your death will not be on my head. He answered and stalked out of the chambers.

When he entered the waiting room his hood was up again. He sat cross-legged on the floor at the furthest end away from Brunnex in the room. He closed his eyes and bagan to hum softly in meditation.

a small envoy of Elves arrived from a far off land and they have been staying at the palace since, it is thought they are new allies made by Izandi but its not been made public at all their real intentions.
- Thalmor Much Muer?)

An old man walked over to the knights. They gave him a look like he shouldn't be there, but he held out the letter in front of him and they pointed the way. I use the term man lightly, for you see this man was quarter elf, having used magic to try and hide who he was. Of course it was taxing on his magic supply, but thirty years of training meant he barely noticed it. Twenty years since he'd decided to reveal his slight elfish features, mostly just slight slenderness and pointier ears.

Other than that he hadn't changed much, but as he walked in his travelling browninsh red robes through the crowd, some people gave him a wide berth. It could've been from the fact that this man walked with an odd confidance that surrounded his dark aura, the oddly mangled straight-ish tree branch he carried as a staff, or it was the scars the filled his face, if their weren't covered by his white hair and neck length beard.

He walked straight to the tabel, his hood lowering without any sign that he had conscienously moved it and put the note on the table. "I'm here for the tournament" He said, his voice oddly deep.

He nodded and the hood reapplied itself back onto the mages head. He then walked inwards, comming upon the four men. He walked over to the nearest empty bench and sat down. To someone who didn't know him, he just seemed like a poor old man, nd he strengthened this by reaching down and massaging his left foot. "So gentlemen, are you read for these battles?" He asked the group, his voice back to it's normal deep, but somehow still slightly high voice. In twenty years, it had steadily risen slightly.

That is what the message had said... a thick hand placed the letter on the counter of his nightstand. The body is covered by a thick comfotable violet blanket with golden decorated leaf features and white roses. The body shifted and turned facing another lump on the bed, this lump turned facing the larger one.

" Good morning, Rose." said a deep manly voice.
" Morning, Leaf." said a female voice.

Leaf, a vassal of King Izandi juniour and a rare type of fighter that can't be found too often, atleast in the lands of Sardo. The man grabbed his woman and gave her a peck on the cheek, both of the adults smiled afterwards and Leaf slowly pushed the covers away to get used to the morning. He stands slightly over 6 ft, shows muscular build up in his years of serving the King, his skin complexion is dark brown and having afew physical scars from battles back 20 years ago. such as a darkgreen burnt mark in the center of his muscular chest, emerald green stripes on his left arm that glow in the dark and a pretty rough brownish green spot on his back.
His face still looks ever so young, his lower face is completly covered by a gaotie that he had been growing ever since he came to serve under the king, his deep clear dark green eyes are still filled with the radiance of youth. he has a somewhat wrinkled forehead but it only shows when he is making an angry face. If you were to stand by him he would look like an uneducated brute with a menacing aura around him. Teh...

Leaf was nude, walked toward a large closet and took the cloths worthy of covering him. He wore a dark emerald tunic/shirt, black pants on him dark green belt that held his swords on the side of his thighs, fine black leather boots and last but not least he strapped a steep long bow on his back along with munition. He was ready to go to work. his duty is basicly to stnad around in the throne room along side with King Izandi .jr along with Sin, the King's adoptive son.

Leaf served under The new King after executing three men on stage, his real intnent was to kill the king due to his personallity and his ruthless executions. He was named a hero after stopping the threat under fara'Kull, something about undead monstrosities and an Evil elf that he had long forgotten. He served as a vassal for the king, permantly, something that the young man was not fond of. But seeing how he ruled the county despite his personallity had made him abandone the point of killing him.

While serving him, He got to live one of the few castle rooms, also having interation with other people that worked in and out of the castle. He met a smiple maid, one of many maids that clean and run with the regular chores. The two got together after a series of events, made love and have two children. The oldest child is out and travelling awhile the youngest stayed in the Capital City of Sardo.

Leaf has been training with his weapons of choice, making him an odd fighter. After all he has the rare magic of 'aura' which he uses only to defeat worthy ( stronger ) opponents. He is a deadly sharp shooter. An acrobatic tricky double swordsman. People get confused because They believe that he ONLY is capable of one weapon type, while the other is just secondary or other situations. Miscalculations, He is niether a mage, a melee fighter nor a ranger. He all three together,

He wants his freedom from being the King's vassal, he misses his freedom of travelling around and had made a lover's promise to take the maid to see the world. He something of a friend of Sin, Sin doesn't talk all that much that's for sure, even after the decades, he doesn't really have a conversation with anyone. He is like a child. The two share the interest of protecting the King, you could consider them companions but not really firends.

" hmm... A tournament ?" The man had rubbed his thick hands under his hairy chin, thinking with his eyes pointed skywards up on the golden cieling.

" This may be my only chance." He said to himself. He took the note with him and headed to te town of Dale.

It's a small town with a rididculous coloseum by its side. He went inside the town, wondering what to do next, will someone guide him to the arena or will he have to find it by himself. He folded his arms and looked on the floor in mass thought.

*The elf slunk past the guards as they turned their attention elsewhere. It wasn't that he was trying to hide really, that just seemed to be the way he was accustomed to moving. Once in the waiting room, he simply stood in any empty space. talking did not seem to overly interest him...*

The masked man in the corner did not reply at all.

Er're nodded; "Yes, I'm glad we're finnaly getting underway here." He examined the man. He looked like a frail old man, but those were always the dangerous ones. Anyway, looks were always decieving. He himself was a testiment to that fact.

The next man that came in interested him more than any of the others, all of them combined actually. His very presence seemed to change the air in the room, he held an air of odd power that the others simply did not. This, this is what he is here for.

He would watch from afar for a while until the time was right to extend a proper conversation. This could be interesting.

(Leaf make your way here yourself.)

Leaf came scross some guards, knights whatever you would want to call them. He stuck out his letter infront of them, hoping that he could get through without problems. He stood inront of the men, maybe being about as big as them or even larger.

" I'm here for the tournement." He said in his deep voice.

The guards pointed towards the north side of town; "Not far out of town, can't miss it."

The began to walk away and then one turned back around; "Good luck, you'll need it. I hear the King's men are animals."

Leaf came toward the colosseum, a huge gigantic structure that seems to be reccently build by a man presumed dead called Brom or something along those lines. Lea had asked himself, could the coloseum be made by dwarves ??? it was a compliment in his sense, since he saw the great cratfting abilities of te small humaniods.

He went toward a table.

" I want to participate in this tournement." He said loudly, not wanting to repeat himself.

" I wouldn't be coming here if i didn't have the letter." He was anxious.

"We only asked to see it." The guard looked at it then shoved his head backwards; "In you go."

He went through the gates and didn'T even bother at marveling at the huge coloseum, his main objective is to earn his freedom by winning this tournement. Once he wins this tournement he'll b free to wander the lands of Sardo. With his wife on his side and his youngest child. maybe even the oldest child, wherever he may be in this world.

He sat on a lone bench, his arms behind the bench in stretching mostion, legs spread open and his head facing skyward. He was spacing out, old habits die hard. He'll react when he wants to or just until everyone is assebled for the tournement.

" I'm a caged bird..." He told himself.

Er're noted the latest contestant. He seemed to be the same as the other contestants, from what he could tell Brunnex was definately an interest of note, and the guy in the robes is an odd one at least but the most interesting article has to be the tanned Elf. He sighed slightly, this must be almost everyone...

New Orkonaso at night was like a green ant farm... on fire. The city would constantly glow and hiss with the sound of healthy industry. Furnaces for blacksmith's and forges could be heard for miles away... but so too could the residents of the city. There was the constant sound of brutish laughter, drums and of course the occasional drunken scrum. Torches would also light the city streets making massive seven foot tall orks look even bigger with giant black shadows chasing everyone around like shades.

But Rend Blackflame (or Flames for short ) was not back in his homeland, not in his intoxicatingly brutish capital. He was coming up to the south side of Sardo and the settlement of Sardo. He rode on the back of a large orkish horse, much larger than any horses of mankind. Rend was around 7'3'' in height and was clad in twisted black armour, fashioned in the uniquely orkish mix of pure craftsmanship and simplistic brutality. Only in the joints of this monstrous armour could his tanned green skin be seen, with popping veins more common than tiny scars from childhood. He carried on his back a large metal spiked shield bent inward so it could be used as a battering ram and protector. On his waist lay a jagged metal sword, crafted to the design of a human short sword mixed with a butcher's knife.

He arrived to the front desk of the tournament in Dale, and he handed his letter of invitation to the people at the main desk.

"I Got Dis' " said the hulking orc before waiting for a response.
