Wow...This guy shit the bed. Was too smart for his own good. Just goes to show, there's a very distinct difference between smarts and street smarts. If he'd have practiced what was posted on his very successful international drug trafficking site, he'd be sitting on an island right now.

Don't judge til you read. He had some interesting views. I did go to the site a few times a while back, but never had the balls to ever order anything from it. It just goes against all I stand for IF I were to ever participate in any sort of illegal activity. FFS, he sent illegal goods through international borders to his own residence...that's a big oops.

I really wish I had gone to the site before it got shut down. I don't use any illegal drugs (any more) and probably wouldn't want anything in there anyway, but after I read a different article on this, I got really curious. I just wanted to check it out lol.

I was always curious about the silk road, but it seemed weird to order stuff online like that and just get it in the mail :/ Interesting reads though.

Because it just sounds like a wonderful idea to slang dope online. May as well open a storefront.

Mostly malware, as far as digital goods. Anything and everything was offered on the site.

Truth of the matter is that it was a murder for hire that ultimately got him to be looked into and is some of the most incriminating evidence on him (bank transfers) other than the fake passys that were enroute to his San Fran residence.

It was a successful venture, a total exploitation of the dark web, and a glimpse into what true freedom actually is...but he was cheap and got greedy. If he had just stayed out of the spotlight (and operated outside the US), he'd have been pretty safe. Sad truth'd

And there are already other sites set up that operate similarly. And will be more and more as this thing plays out. Still, anyone that thinks they are every 100% anonymous on the web is living in a fairy tale land.

The deepweb can be a very scary place...

Enjoy your collapsing 'currency'. Now no one can buy drugs with it, it's virtually useless.

He's from my high school
I wonder if they'll make a shirt for him like they did Drew Brees.
