Horrible place to have a bachelor party, because its damn expensive. You can have loads of fun there, but it seems a bit excessive, unless the groom in question is quite well off, bordering on extremely wealthy, in which case, buy the entire group 1st class accommodations, spend the night and have a blast.

Otherwise, you may want to bring along a designated driver get you back on your way after your day passes expire. Bear in mind that food is insanely expensive there, and it is very easy to overspend. That's why they call it a tourist trap.

If you haven't already, you may want to run the idea past a travel agent to see if they have any group packages available, and plan a bit more what you will do and where you will stay.

Yeah we looked into it, and the group package we seem to be working towards is fairly reasonable as we're looking at the shoulder season. The bulk of those going aren't big drinkers. We're actually looking at a 6 day package as most of the guys are after the roller coasters and such. The meal packages seem pretty decent and you get a four park pass, so six days should be enough to make a dent i'd think.

It's the last of the guys to get married, so it's a bit of a bigger trip than we'd normally do.

1. Wear comfortable shoes. You'll be doing a lot of walking and standing in lines.
2. Wear light clothing if you're going in the summer.
3. Bring sunscreen if wearing short sleeves and shorts.
4. Food & drink is expensive. Don't come broke.
5. Make sure to book lodging ahead of time. Assuming you'll find something after arriving is bad.

we're all in our late thirties or early forties >.<

It's also been something we've always wanted to do since we were kids, but never had the money or chance.

It's liable to be a rather childish albeit awesome trip

Well then, you should be fine! Disney corporate representatives will try to plus-sell anything they can. Budget for it, if you're not going for fine dining, then don't. If you're asking me for a dollar amount to bring, I'd say If I were planning this trip for myself, and 4-ish clones of me, I'd budget that everyone should throw in $850-1000-ish.

Here's the site I derived that figure from: wdwprepschool.com/how-much-does-it-cost-to-go-to-disney-world/

I hope that helps! Have fun!

Been to Disney, Sea World, Busch Gardens... all overcrowded and geared toward getting the money out of your pocket.

The Fun Spot in Orlando is a go cart park with 4 or 5 tracks. You can get an all day wrist band for around $30 and drive till you puke.

f**k Disney land etc...

Depends where your accommodation is my family have always booked awesome villas and never not had an awesome time apart from when we went to Disney land, and Universal studios, bush gardens sea world all that is something you want to do with your family, something for your little ones not for a bloody bachelor party

Start in International drive get a few rounds in start at the cool crazy golf place with baby crocodiles you can feed outside it's real fun and there's a little English pub just round the corner, head over to Old Town in kissimmee and have a ride on a huge slightshot, get a few more rounds in, have a go on G force, get a few more rounds in then for the big guy if you got the balls go on the worlds tallest skycoaster, do something a bit more crazy like wear a baby suit or a mankini and make sure to get it filmed, the dude in the little control box will film it for you, once you done that you will be ready for anything get a few more rounds in if you aren't already out of it and have an awesome night around all the dinners and bars.

Few things might have changed since the last time i was in Orlando, but yeah been quite a few times and my family own a 6 bedroom villa just off International drive, we're going back up in a few months actually and yes I'll more than likely be doing the above

Space mountain / 2 in Disney land Paris however i don't have a single bad memory about! well worth going Disney land Paris, hell i even still have quite a cool pirates of the caribbean gun lying around somewhere

Epcot is fun if you want to see and interact with technology of the fuuuttttuuuurrrreeeee.

If you're going for roller coasters then Universal may be the way to go.

I've only been to the Orlando location once but we make it to Disneyland once a year, or so. We went without kids and had a blast.

Someone mentioned the Fast Pass. You must use the Fast Pass. It cuts hours out of your day standing in lines.

We went to a mystery dinner theater in Orlando, that was a good time and out of the ordinary for a tourist based trip.

If you do make it to Universal, they have a meal deal for $20. You can eat at any of the selected restaurants for just that initial $20, at least we do at the California location.

Another poster mentioned Kissammee. We stayed there and just took the hotel bus into the park. It saved us a lot but if I had it to do again, I'd stay at one of the Disney hotels just for the experience.

Oh, and if any of you are nursing, then off Main Street there's a nice little quiet room for nursing mothers, potty training children, emergency baby supplies and changing tables.

Universal studios is the place to go it was awesome when I went a few years back.

I'm not keen on roller coasters to the point I actually don't go on them but all the simulator rides and stuff there are amazing the spiderman one was EPIC out of all the parks we went that was the best followed by wet n wild as there's no harm in having some sexy women wearing pretty much nothing to look at or...if your a woman or gay then men to look at (don't want to get into trouble by being a sexist)

Disney for a bachelors party??? Seriously? Why? If you are bringing a 5 year old it is great... otherwise... a zzzzzfest is all that awaits you. Try Hedonism in Jamaica. Much more adult themed.

The way to go is to stay in one of the resort hotels that Disney owns. If you do this, bring your room key and it acts as a fast pass. You can use it in Universal and skip to the front of the line just by showing your room key.

Disney is a horrible place for adults, let alone a bachelor party. Orlando can be fun, maybe hit up Disney for a single day, but I would not be looking to spend a week there. Plus, Disney is quite far from the rest of the attractions. Take some of Brad's suggestions, also can check out Universal City Walk, Pointe Orlando, or even Wet and Wild waterpark is fun. Plus there's just lots of bars and night clubs around... then shoot down to OBT for some strip clubs/hookers

The hookers and blow and strippers and such aren't a draw. We're all a bit older than that, and have pretty great family lives, so we're kind of looking at more event related. We all like park rides, and that's the big draw. Also, none of us have been anywhere enar a disney park, and there's an element of curiosity. Kind of planning for a geeky fun trip. beach and rippers and bar aren't a draw. We can do that a number of places if it's what we were looking for, and for a quarter the price of doing it, in of all places, miami.

Universal studios sounds interesting, i'm going to look that one up too!

Hire a disabled person to be your tour guide. Then you can cut all the lines. People in wheelchairs can bring up to 6 people with them and cut everyone.
