OP, instead of drinking 20 beers a night- or not drinking at all, I'm sure you could find a happy balance of beer and another, stronger drink (whiskey, vodka) that would save you plenty of calories.
Obviously, you still have other issues like your body dying from the inside out.
I drink once or twice a week, sometimes less, sometimes more. It all depends on where I am and what I'm doing. If I go home for any stretch of time I drink pretty much every day because I need to see all my friends and all of them want to get drunk. It's a waste of money though, really, after the first few pints. I'm not big built and get drunk quite quickly. When I'm working I'll drink on a Friday night, just to get the week out of my head, then recover on Saturday and Sunday.

I like beer and drink it every day. Usually 4-5 beers a night and more on the weekends if I'm not working.
edit: It's currently 0615 and I'm drinking coffee with a shot of Patron XO Cafe...yummy.

20 Pints; is do-able; comfortably. Provided one prepares the temple with care. It's pointless trying to explain how common and daily alcohol can become if you keep it in your life for long enough. Unless you've been there. It's a hazy ride.
If you're a social chap, especially if you've got a silver tongue, drinking is great. Memories aren't tangible, they're pretty awesome though.
Getting drunk to lay on your face is just plain silly. It's fun to point and casually abuse the fools around you who do though.
I used to drink everyday 4-8 pints on a weekday, more on a weekend. I still would if my missus hadn't growled me about it enough.

The sensation it gives is nice. Often or not though; chronic drinkers indulge to conceal something about themselves or life which they cannot bare to look at, so they bury themselves in drink as it helps them forget and their mind goes on autopilot. As with everything though; it's not always the immediate case, there are always variables and different reasons. Sometimes drinking can produce lucidity, you're able to perform and think better once you've had a couple. - Many Poets as well as musicians have abused alcohol as well as other substances. That's a topic for a different time though.
I used to drink heavily as it was tradition in the Army to do so, if you didn't you were some freak of nature, it helped cultivate banter and high spirits, most of the time anyway.
Absinthe is wonderful, and it's just an old tale it causes hallucinations. It used to way back in history, forgive me I can't remember the exact ingredient, something they put in it that they shouldn't have.

Most people here will have heard of, if not tried, absinthe. I have tried a few absinthes, and I can honestly say that it's possibly the most ostentatious drink in the known universe. The whole spoon, sugar lump and ice water thing is plain idiotic, in my honest opinion.
Drinking, for me, I can take or leave. I'm not opposed to having a drink or two to chill out in a social situation, but I don't much see the point of getting to where I end up drunk texting people and making a drip of myself.
Haven't actually had a drink in about a month. Can't say I feel better or worse for it; just don't really mind that much either way.

First time that i heard of Absinthe was on Tv and it was all about it.What I remember from it is that even when you get drunk from it,you can still think straight,also that you see a Green Fairy when you drink it. Is that true???

My first and hopefully last experience with Absinthe/Aniseed was on Halloween 2 years ago.
Somebody at Rugby remembered it was my birthday and decided to give me a dirty pint with about 1/5th Pernod diluted with Stowford Press, Guinness, Becks, Doom Bar, JD, and Jameson's. This was after about 11 pints. Awful drink.

The only "Absinthe" I've had is the 3 Euros for a litre variety. Tasted like sawdust and led to a bastard of a headache the day after. f**k knows what was in it.

I don't drink alcohols just for 2 reasons.
- It make you lose your conciousness.
- You can't remember what you did while in the effect.
Again I don't smoke either.
Drinking is bad for health.

No.
If you drink too much absinthe, like any other alcohol, you turn into a drooling mess and (if you're me) you sit in the corner and cry/ run around telling everyone near you to go and f**k something or other.
Back in the day they used to put all sorts of drugs and such in everyday products, from cough medicine to fizzy drinks.
Were you watching Moulin Rouge by any chance?

every single day for over 15 years 
its not good doing what i do though going to work and feeling like a zombie for the first half of the day is no fun
it badly effects everything in your life work, socially etc
then there are the health issues. my teeth are screwed and god knows what state my liver and heart are in
im still as strong and fit as i have always been though god knows how long that will last for
