what colour is the sky? |
It is light blue on a sunny day. Thanks for the question. |
Alright Mr. La Dee Da Education Schmeducation Etc.
Why is the sky light blue on a sunny day? |
the blue part of light, which has short wavelength, is pretty much absorbed by gas molecules in the atmosphere, while longer wavelengths such as red etc aren't... The absorbed blue light is then scattered, i believe they call it Rayleigh scattering..
anyway, they don't teach that in high school i think, depending on your country's level of education
:) |
Gahhhhhh, I wanted high school graduate to tell me. We got taught that in school, I'm fairly sure. Not sure if we went into many details though. I knew that blue were the short wavelength ones, at least.
I don't like threads like this, they are all over 4chan. "In this thread ask a woman anything" "In this thread ask someone who owns a blue t-shirt anything" "In this thread ask somebody who breathes anything".
EDIT: It's never "ask an astronaught anything" or someone really interesting, is the point I'm trying to make.
Also, thanks for answering that! |
So you're saying the sky is blue because of science?

It depends what time it is and if the old lady took her estrogen pills that day.

How does it feel knowing that spending thousands to be more educated than other people doesn't neccesarily mean you'll be able to find a job any easier than those people? And if you do, you may very well end up flipping burgers alongside them? |
Well thanks for the question, first I should have been more specific with what I'm graduating from. I am graduating High School and I will be starting my first semester of college in August of 2013. The school I am going to has given me a very generous scholarship to attend their school plus I have received a few more local scholarships so I am not to worried about my student loans as of yet. My major that I have declared is Accounting which is in high demand at the moment. After I recieve my degree in accounting I will be taking my CPA(Certified Public Accountant) test which I will hopefully pass. As of right now I am working at a local supermarket, saving my money that will hopefully last me the entire school year. Now to answer your question, I believe that when I acquire my accounting degree and I pass my CPA test I would have no problem finding work because I would be a very useful person in society(Filing taxes, checking businesses books, consulting services, ect.) and I would find work easily.
If you have any questions regarding my answer, please don't hesitate to ask. |
Wow, I'm graduating from secondary school this year, & going to college on September 2013 and I don't make threads about it.

I personally believe, that U.S. Americans,
are unable to do so,
because uh,
some, people out there, in our nation don’t have maps.
and uh…
I believe that our education like such as in South Africa,
and the Iraq,
everywhere like such as…
and, I believe they should uh,
our education over here,
in the U.S. should help the U.S.
or should help South Africa,
and should help the Iraq and Asian countries so we will be able to build up our future,
for us.

I won't ask questions, but gonna giving advice. Think the other way around: work first, get CPA later. Unless you are super smart (IQ above 130 or something), it is virtually impossible to pass this test. I know because I was aiming the same thing like you did. Wrong move. The test won't ask text book question. They gonna ask you real life question. Event happening out there, combined with conditions of your country, and a scenario of a company you are working in. That'll be the nuts to crack.
Take my grain of salt: accounting you gonna learn in college/uni only around 1 - 5% is gonna be applicable in real life. The rest are as useful as flat tire. The 5% are: How to make journal entry, Statement of Cash flow, Consolidation accounting, Taxation, and Fiscal accounting.
Also join accounting club if there are. They got useful information if you have considered to take this path.
Lastly, in regard of taking CPA test, consider yourself to work as a public accountant. High experience.
