Both 1 and 9 would make sense to me. I don't know which order to do this shit in. Aren't there different schools of thought?
math is exact, there's no room for error on the math's part, only the mathtards.
Spurtung may be a childish dick, but he's correct in the regards of math being exact. There's NO room for 2 answers making sense. There is only 1 correct answer and any other answer is incorrect and irrelevant

Also, I'm fairly sure that the answer to some equations can be 2 answers, (a negative and a positive number) I don't know why I'm fairly sure of this but I seem to be, so I'm going with it.
I don't think many things are as straight forward as "this is always correct, full stop".

The answer is 9. If you look at your wikipedia article, there is a section called Exceptions to the standard.
These exceptions, as wiki has stated, only occur on certain calculators and programs. That does not mean that the actual result changes.
Honestly though, why did you make a thread about math? Every time I've seen one, on any forum, it's lead to massive arguments. No good can come of this thread. I suggest you kill it at once.

that?
you realize it's about finding the two different values of a variable and therefore has nothing to do with this, right?
actually, taking that as example and applying to the OP:
6/2(2+1)
A/B(B+C)

It was a response to this. I realise that it is not exactly the same, but it has something to do with 2 answers making sense.
I am no good at maths, this isn't a woe. I can pretty much do addition and subtraction and know my times tables up to twelve, more or less- this seems to serve me adequately enough.

Moral of the story is, if you dont specify whether you mean (6/2)*(2+1) or 6/(2*(2+1)) different calculators will guess what you mean and sometimes give you different answers.
So if you type it in like it is in the OP, you deserve to get it wrong and should learn to use a calculator and mathematical notation correctly. And if a teacher were to put that on a test like that, it is either a trick question or the teacher shouldnt be teaching math.
True math equation will have parentheses on all mathematical problem in order to derive a function in between input and and a set of permissible output.
