Why, this very minute I'm thinking of a clever way to create an entire race of pale, light-sensitive subterranean dwellers with deep-seated emotional problems and virtually no sense of humour. Additionally, despite using writing as their primary means of communication, this new race will have endemic difficulty with grammar and spelling.

I still haven't come up with a viable solution to the obvious breeding problems, though.
