I advise any young person to stay away from drugs of any sort, be it how mild they are. Even if i find weed to be far less harmful than tobacco or alcohol. But your obviously gonna do what your gonna do, So I would advise you to open em up before purchase & make sure your not getting sold parsley.

Young people sell joints to those who've just started smoking and can't roll their own, it's a scam to get the naive kids to pay way too much.
The tobacco is just a cultural difference (always been like this, nothing new), though we do smoke blunts too.
As for the buying by the gram thing, you can by by the ounce, the q, the gram, any damn way you want. But the reason we're talking about how much you pay per gram is because using the price of grams is the easiest way of calculating how much a joint costs.
way way way back in the day you could buy a joint for 5 bucks i have no idea what that is in uk monies. Today if you asked to buy just a joint you would probably be told not to ever come back or get an ass kicking. Most of my friends that still do smoke have started smoking spice type stuff it's called something else now bunch of different names and it sells in most stores for 15 dollars for 1.5 grams. /me leaves you to do the math too early here for that.

Most countries in the world have people that smoke weed, usually with differences everywhere.
Spliffs are not uncommon at all (tobacco and weed) anywhere world wide. I smoked several when I was in the U.S. everyone knew what they were.
People buy grams all the time although its hard when Americans want to charge 30 - 50$ a gram, something that normally costs 10$.

The other benefit is of course, if you get caught with the shit on you - you don't get in nearly as much trouble as having quantity on you - for example a charge of "intent to sell". Just saying.

I know a dude who makes £5000 in an evening just selling 20 bags. Though you are right, a serious dealer will usually sell in large quantities to smaller dealers or those who can afford a lot.
But I dunno why there's so much hate in this thread for people who can only afford to buy small amounts at a time, lol.
