For all you that produce music of your own, whether professionally or for recreation, what DAW(s) do you use and why?
I'm asking because I've been wondering which software to get. I've looked at almost everything available and have narrowed it down to FL Studio, Reason, Cubase, and SONAR X2. But i would like to hear what others have to say.
I make mostly rap & hip hop instrumentals, but i dabble in Dance, pop, and i'm starting to get into D&B as well.

I do a little bit of Jungle and hardcore DnB, but I haven't made anything that's relatively listenable. Still learning the basics. Trying to get into some Atmospheric as well

I listen to LTJ Bukem & Artificial Intelligence for D&B and Aphex Twin & Boards Of Canada for atmospheric/techno.

I do not not suggest to illegal download Logic 9
I haven't tried Cubase yet, though I'm not going to say no if I did have it. I produce different styles if music to yours but I mean, it's more of a personal favourite, and what you computer/mac can handle.
I would suggest however to go for the one with the endless listing of plug-ins and synths (possibly get hold of some vocal stuff not just instruments)
Hope you find the right one soon!
