a whole lot of autotune and computer made sound effects

I'm sorry but there actually ARE other genres of music. I'm personally going to refer to most types of rock, but this will still apply to other genres as well.
Where's all the meaning behind the songs on the list? What is the message that the listener is supposed to receive? (Kelly Clarkson is an exception for now)
The problem with today's pop music is that the messages are lost, and the perception seems to be that life is huge party so go f*ck around the entire time, get wasted, have sex, get pregnant, bullying is fine, and do drugs! Now I know that there are numerous exceptions to this, but focus on the majority, and mainly the more popular songs. There is rarely a good message to be found.
Now to the less publicized rock music. (yes there are rock bands that are talked about quite frequently, but not enough) There is one song im specifically linking to this post. It's called "You're Not Alone," by a band called Saosin. I can personally say that this song alone has saved at least 3 people from ending their lives. Listen to the song to understand, but this is a prime example of a song that has a powerful message behind it, but yet, it's not talked about. I bet few of you ever even hear of Saosin before. There's a band called August Burns Red that also molds their message into their songs. granted, their songs consist of heavy guitars. hard drumming, and dark screamo-type sounding vocals, but you would have listen to the words to pickup the message, and its not about killing everything, contrary to popular belief.
Pop makes me sick, which is why i refuse to listen to it. It's all these pretty boys, and glamour girls trying to get super rich and famous, while the not-as-good-looking members of rock bands try and get their messages out to the public, meanwhile putting on a show for their FANS, because that's what they paid for.
