I am a big diablo player, and so are a lot of other people. As a level 60(9) barbarian, right now... I am playing around with diablo on different power levels just to see what I got.
Also, I would like to hear how far people have gotten and what cool stuff they have found.
(I have recently found a set ring for the wizard and sold it for a good 850k )
All I can say from where I am in the game is that inferno can be killer, especially on monster power 3. Once in a while, I am running away for my life. Now it's on to get that perfect build
I'd say that after making more money, getting lucky legendary finds, and changing some skills, it is a lot funner .
Now it's time to get the hellfire ring.
Secret pony level is fun, and can be quite tough. My staff of herding isn't upgraded for anything past normal level, but a friend upgraded his and took me into his pony levels.
I've never really found anything cool. Never had a set item drop and the only legendary so far was a low level one. As you progress, good drops seem to come less and less.
My main is a level 60 DH with a couple pieces of the Natalya set. I am at 51k DPS and am working on getting past Inferno Act 2 but lately I been doing some Inferno butcher farming (starting from the Imprisoned angel quest to get my NV 5 stack buff).
I too actually found the tome of herding, at the time I did not know what it was I just saw that one of the vendors were selling it in act 3 or 4 so I bought it and learned it and before they made it into a legendary I was like what the heck would anyone want to do with a white staff?
I also have two mushrooms and two shinbones that I found by chance from farming or helping some of my friends out in their games and I soon learned from another friend of mine that those are materials to make the staff of herding. I learned this after a friend invited me into group one day and what I thought was going to be a fun hell mode game I ended up in the secret level getting hardcore owned by unicorns.
Since then I told a friend of mine if he wants to upgrade that staff to inferno I will help out and supply the gold as long as I can get a chance to run in there on inferno although I should probably make the staff myself and farm act 3 for the gibbering stone..... it would be the only piece I would have to farm truly since I found the other pieces by chance, good thing I am a packrat and decided to keep the items that I found.
damn, everyone is better than me. i need to play more

I found a pretty decent legendary gloves most likely fit for a barbarian while doing solo butcher runs in inferno, been thinking about using them for my barbarian but I might just let it go for the 15-20mil gold its worth lol
I have a level 60 Demon Hunter and a level 53 Wizard. The Demon Hunter is on Inferno Act 2. Very difficult. I have about 450 resists, do about 40k DPS without Sharpshooter..
So far I've been able to save up 2M gold but that isn't nearly enough to get the gear I need to progress. Stupid gold farmers and their stupid bots!
Stupid elites with their arcane, vortex, chain, and extra health!!
My computer died shortly before Diablo 3 came out, which is ok because it was not powerful enough to play the game. In one month I'll be buying a new laptop, and while the processor power is no problem, none of the laptops I've found have a good enough graphics card (without paying thousands of dollars, not in my range). Is anyone playing this game on a laptop? A few friends, who do not play diablo 3 but are tech savvy, say I should be able to play it with diminished graphics. Would that make it suck? Is anyone playing diablo with graphics on low settings?
BTW, I travel a fair amount which is why I need a laptop instead of a tower system. The computer I'm using now is from the 90's, lol, I'm suprised it's powerful enough to play torn.

i like the new update to where you can set the difficulty level of the enemies for more health/damage/resistance... and so on. even on difficulty 1, all of the enemies are level 63 in inferno and all of the magic items are salvageable so i have an even greater chance to get iridescent tears. also the unique items are better.

Started with a monk as a main but transitioned into a witch doctor later and he is now my main. Haven't been playing as much recently because the game just becomes a grind for gear and xp, but I'll hop on once in a while

Just got it for Christmas, playing a level 10 witch doctor now. How do you identify rare items?
right click when in inventory.
