Right, so how about a new special that increases your maximum energy capacity?
It would cost the same amount as the Steadfast upgrades (I don't have them to hand but I will add them later) as the Steadfast upgrades are the most expensive.

Each level of Energized would increase a players max Energy by 5. Why? Well how many people here tell me they consistently train every 5 hours and never miss any E? Well with 10 levels of Energized then a player with a DP would essentially increase their max E to 200 which would allow players in the top factions to sleep/work for longer without getting on to train their E without a loss.

It would also give top warring factions something to aim for after maxing Steadfast and it may even help players who choose not to use drugs and use the drug free gym stay competitive as they may be able to train more E than they are used to per day.

Anyway, its just a thought but I know it changes one of the fundamentals that has been the same since say one so I wouldn't be surprised if this wasn't popular

But yeah, thoughts and opinions? Post them below

It wouldn't change a lot, people merely have more energy to train or attack.
At best it makes Torn less long term which I don't really like...

Abusing the old stock market and all the other features made it less long term, at least this is reasonable

It only helps the older, more established players. The more powerful would get more powerful and create an even bigger gap between newer people and elders.
I can't say i'd like it very much even if it would benefit me. If anything they should add something that will help newer players vs older ones to level the playing field a little bit more. While still benefitting both parties.

Extra 50e means additional 2 attacks. Full bar + refill means 16 attacks instead of 12, what means more respect gain by the same amount of warring people. It looks like "spend respect to farm respect" upgrade.

Agreed, it should be more expensive than the steadfast to get such a huge advantage, maybe two or even three times more respect for something like this.

Actually due to that stats cap most high levels use more E to attack tbh so in fact having more E available to train would allow newer players a small advantage on catching up.

I don't see many new players in HOF factions.
It is only a selective group of people who really benefit from this.
And the smaller factions will absolutely not be able to afford such a nice upgrade

That's really the only problem I have with this.

Although, in principle, this would give newer players a slight advantage, how many new players do you think would get a chance to use such a feature? Maybe restarts that are well connected, but that's about it. It was over two years before I was smart enough to associate myself with a faction that had upgraded beyond steadfast 4, and I'm sure other new players make the same mistake frequently.

Other than that I think this is a good idea for a new faction special. It would certainly change the dynamic of faction wars to include bigger chains for some, and more chains for others. This would also allow smaller factions to gain more respect faster, which I am certainly on board with for obvious reasons.

Overall I'm undecided on whether this will have a positive net impact on the game though. Not rated.

I guess they should remove PIs then, not every new player can buy one when they start and it is unfair for older players to be able to use them when they can't.

The one major flaw here is that it will allow bigger / stronger factions that can farm respect more quickly to be able to stockpile more energy naturally and thus pump out even more hits than smaller factions can (ie. it will widen the gap even further than it already is in favour of the larger factions).

In general I'll never be in favour of any idea that results in a scenario where being bigger begets faster respect gains, which begets more faction upgrades, which begets even faster respect gains (compared to smaller factions) - last time I checked it's not exactly hard for larger factions to farm respect as it is.

Looking at the training aspect of this idea specifically I just don't think it is needed personally, as I don't mind a slight advantage being given to players who do make the effort to log in every 5 hours to train (by dint of them being able to do more gym trains per day).

Only way I could see this working is if FHC use and refills would stay the standard 150e refill, otherwise this would be to big of an advantage

New players can make money fairly quickly, or run flowers forthe use of a PI. No well esablished faction is going to accept a hoard of newbies to take advantage of this. Stats take years to build up to the point of most HOF factions.
A PI is much different than this.

Personally i dont like the Idea, because it would only help stronger factions, and it would again make smaller faction to catch up. I hope the game must me more legal.

not sure about adding more energy to the game. Maybe 25e is more reasonable. Also rather than just having to have one thing have a combination of things you have to get in order to get more e.

for example:
1. be in a faction with energize upgrade
2. Have yacht
3. Education course that allows you to unlock it
4. Pay some money
5. Have hold of a particular item.
etc

Maybe with the new missions have a high age/level mission that you have to do to unlock it. Making it almost a reward for very old players sticking with the game and limiting how many people are getting extra energy and making it a target to achieve.
