That's not a bad one....

When a player fails a bust they get hurt.... And spend a small amount of time in hospital... The time of a sfak would be long enough for a small player and a morphine for a big player.

Self busts get a beat down from the guards. And you have to spend time in jail hospital...where you can't be revived or busted because you are in jailhosp

I like this idea

A drunk had been at a pub all night. At last call, the drunk stood up to leave and fell flat on his face. He tried to stand one more time, to the same result.




He figured he'd crawl outside to get some fresh air, since maybe that would sober him up

Self busts don't really happen anymore, what with jail being a nerve farm for mid-level players. As for regular busts, I don't think that would be a bad idea, but usually it's easy enough to know when to stop busting so you don't get caught... I think the best solution would be to make busting significantly harder than it is now, and make busts one-click, like when using a script.

I think if busters ran the risk of losing their health to a failed bust it would impact the busters.

One failed bust dropping you to 1/12313 life would make you a bit gunshy.

Yeah and jail is currently meaningless with the average time likely being under a minute before being busted.

Why not cap busting? Make it so that you can do 10 max busts per day. That will add more people to jail and reduce busting. Or remove CE gains or merits from busting alltogether?

By making it impact a players life and med use i think it would bleed out into other aspects of game play.

Their should be education requirements or job special for busting.

Jail busting should require a little bit more than a pulse, which is all that is currently required.

Surely, to bust someone you should know something about the jail or planning.

Yes it is. Busting is currently more popular than other crime based merits, so there are more busters than inmates.

The solutions presented here only treat the symptom and not the root cause. If you really want to change the utility of jail then suggest that the crime experience gains be changed. You would either need to nerf the gains from busting, buff the gains from certain crimes, or do a combination of both so that players don't feel like busting is a necessary part of putting together an assasination OC team.
