Simple the number of shares in the stock market should be decreased this would make the stock market more useful. Because right now you have watered stocks that are basically worthless. Making the stock market more competitive. Then people would actually be able to "control" the stock market.

Same.... So the thread title is "Less Shares in stock market", but you wrote that the number of shares should be increased.

There's too much money in the stock market to do that, NPCs do buy and sell stocks so the max number of shares fluctuates for all the stocks.
The problem has been actually that people are making money in stocks at an above par rate, and relatively recently, last i heard, a cap was put in place as to how much money the NPC floods the market with when it takes shares out.
Removing even more shares means players would be reimbursed their investments, and that would dump unbelievable amounts of money into the game...not to mention, the more shares, the more BB's available, so it's a good thing on more than one degree for new players, who'd like to get some of those benefits.

yea i see more money in circulation which would make the torn economy would go to shit for a lil while but the money would eventually make its way back out of the system. But only if people stop just sitting on there money

Why would you want people to be able to "control" the stock market? It wouldn't be you. It would be some mega-rich dude and you would be frustrated. Also, having control of a stock does not mean you can manipulate its price since the TC stock prices are not set by supply and demand. Decreasing the number of shares would only lead to people not being able to buy certain stocks which in turn would lead to whinny threads.
