hey guys.
basically, my suggestion came up through a conversation with Spartacus_ [291624] about how the high-low game used to be good, and is now pretty crap. it sucks when you have an A of spades, and another A of spades comes up.
basically, what i am suggesting is that the system use one deck of 52 cards, so that the same card does not come up twice. as well as this, the card that gets flipped that needs to be higher or lower than the current card becomes the next card you guess against.
if any player goes through the entire deck, a bonus of double the pot is given to the player, and they need to start again, with the money given to them directly.
ideas? suggestions? thanks

I like that idea. It would make High-Low a bit more fair, less slanted towards the Dealer.
I mean, come on.. the Casino has unlimited cash, so why not make some of the games closer to the 50% win chance?

the point of this game is that its totally random. So basically the next card coming out could be anything. thats what makes high-low challenging

Because they are meant to be a money sink that takes as much cash as possible out of the economy. Having said that it's not hard to be successful over time in high low, as long as you don't get too greedy.

Its just stupid to me that an a of spades can come out when u have an a of spades already out. Sure, the randomness is whtat makes it challenging, but when things like that happen its really not fair

It's not meant to be fair, but like I said if you don't get too greedy then it's still possible to come out ahead over time...

What Butters said..
If you leave the casino with your fair share, don't go going back for more; stay content with a profit.

its not meant to be fair, but it IS meant to be realistic. and having 2 of the same cards coming up just isnt realistic

If you think it's wrong then it might be better to post a bug report instead - you'll at least get a definitive reply as to whether the dealer getting the same card as the player is intentional or not.
If it is intentional (ie. the player and dealer are flipping cards from different decks - perhaps even decks that are "reshuffled" after each pair of cards is turned), then unfortunately we don't make the rules for the torn city casino in terms of how far odds are skewed in favour of the house for the different casino games - Ched does.
If it is a bug then apparently high-low is going to be "re-made" in the "near" future:

Yes I remember too, although I have no idea why it does it. Something freak with the code I expect. Is it that big of a problem for now? It only happens to specific people and I cannot replicate it. High-low will be remade in the near future. |
