I believe money shouldn't be removed from your wallet while it is on the trading table.
Many players illegitimately hide their money in trades with friends instead of using the cayman islands and losing a % to hold it. To muggers such as myself, this seems like an abused exploit to avoid mug losses at no real cost to them.

so on real trades...people wouldn't put their money on the trading table?
maybe you should provide a solution for the problem you're creating instead of just wanting things going your way.

I think the better solution to this problem would be make the trade timer shorter..

If you dont put the money in the trade - then accepting it is a logistical nightmare - what if they HAD the money when they hit accept - but when you hit accept they didnt ?

There is no problem. People put their cash in factions, vaults, items, points and the list just goes on.
If you dont know how to find decent mug targets then maybe your priority should be to work out why you fail and no one else seems bothered.

I think the better solution to this problem would be make the trade timer shorter.. |
And how would that help?
You could reduce it to 10 minutes.
That would still be useful for hiding your money, but make the actual traders very angry.
And weak people trying to buy something expensive would get mugged all the time because their money isn't safe in the trade.
(+ the possible abuse by multis)

I'm not talking about actual trades, I'm talking about dummy trades people set up, holding billions of dollars in limbo with no actual intention to trade it. This provides them instant access should they need their cash and a vault with limitless space for a 6 hour duration. What's the point of the Cayman Islands offshore account when people can just hide their cash in fake trades?

I know what you mean.
But how will the system know the difference between hiding money and buying an expensive item?
Because if you're trying to hurt people hiding their money, you'll also hurt the actual traders.

anyone who is smart enough simply banks in points or high demand items and sells them before traveling for something like rehab.
trade banking is not that useful unless you have no life and can play torn a lot.

right, coders are taking care of that as we speak.
shouldn't be too hard creating a little something to know people's intentions, right?
or maybe add a button asking people if they really really really want to make a trade, which they'll click anyway.
your choice.
you have to understand legitimate trades can't be harmed by whatever suggestions you may have.
which could prompt you to now suggest that every trade created must be accepted to avoid the issue you brought up.
however, some legitimate trades end up being canceled because people simply don't agree.

either that or simply the suggestion is stupid.
I don't do 'fake trades' and still think it's a bad suggestion, so do your math.
