My suggestion is to let people buy racing points. For example, when you just started racing, you will lose, and there's no way to get racing point, unless you win. It also hurts when you upgrade to new class.
you might have used it for the last class car. and when you upgrade (especially class A), there's no more points to use to upgrade the new car. So, my idea is to let people buy racing points.
Ways of buying racing points:
- trade points to racing points
- $50,000 one racing point (as we know it, it is very valuable)
- pawning your old racing car
Nah, racing it just something where you can't buy yourself in.
It wouldn't really be an achievement anymore if you can just buy yourself the best fully upgrade car.
You get awarded for being patient and not giving up.
(And getting near new class is also some strategy)
When you bought the best upgrades and win once and a while, you should save those points and spend them when you're in a new class.
I don't really like this suggestion. Racing is meant to be difficult and take time, and the system was changed from the old one because of this problem, but this current system still lets you gain driver experience no matter where you come in a race, therefore over time your higher driver skill allows you to come 1st 2nd and 3rd in races to gain racing points.
Furthermore the level of driver skill to upgrade from one class to another is openly available on the forums and on TC basic etc so people know that once they're going steady in their current class that they then need to start saving up racing points for the next class above, many people initially fell foul of this and learnt the hard way. Other people made assumptions and are now doing well for themselves on the racing circuit.
Letting people buy racing points will destroy the system, I've had hundreds of races in all my cars overall and over 200 official races in my class A car alone just to get enough racing points to get all the upgrades for it. I did have a bad start and would never come in the top 3 for my first 20 or so races, so my driver skill built up to allow me to come third and second, that allowed me to buy some parts to get into first and progress from there in a snowball effect. If people with money just come along and buy the 311 racing points (Enough points to get the best of every type of part possible), then start racing it'll put newer racers to a disadvantage. Racing isn't expensive, overall my car including all its upgrades and initial purchase has cost me around 1.5mil- an achievable sum for anyone on Torn, and I enjoy racing with people who are as dedicated as me. If we allow people to just buy racing points then we'll just see another area of Torn where the super rich with more money to spend than sense just start buying stuff like nobodies business and ruin an area of Torn which has the potential to be quite equal for all involved.

Then, how to get racing points if you keep getting 5th or 6th?
Did you even read my post? Your driver skill increases regardless of where you come. So you YOURSELF get better rather than your car, and that's actually more useful, especially later on when everyone has all the upgrades for example, it's basically determined on driver skill and luck!
