This probably won't be very popular but here it goes.

$10,000 is not much of a cost for changing your name. I'm sure the original intension was for people to change their name here and there. Of course there are those that use the name change very frequently, weekly, or daily to evade attacks or to trick people to attack. There is nothing wrong with that but why not charge more? Have it double in price every time it is used.

Rated +. Simple idea but yes, it would be nice if the fees is doubled every time they want to change.

We should cap it though (1-5mil).

Then it would maybe help drain some money out of the system.
The 10k now is pocket change most people wouldn't even notice if it's gone.

This^

Cap it at 5M, every name change after this will cost 5M.

I'm not surprised, this is among the more sane, here and now additions that can be made.
Also I disagree on the proposed cap. If you change your name so often that you reach $5mill for changing names, you are changing names too often, and it should be perfectly okay for their name changes to rise higher and higher. $10m,$20m or even $100mill and above...
With the current proposition to double the amount every change, reaching a $5mill cap would take 9 name changes. $5mill for some is nothing, especially if they are trying to hide from a bad rep/scam etc. So no cap!
If you change your name more than 9 times, there is a high chance it's not just a normal username change.

I suggested this in the past but it didn't garner any interest at the time. Good to see my suggestion comming back.

Selling 2 Private Islands(both 3700 happiness) for 860mil or give me a good offer.
Also selling a MCS Benifit Block at 96% or offer.

Excellent idea...i have seen this in the past as well...It should be implimented.

Scammers change their name alot to try and trick people. This would put a bite in their funds if the fee was doubled everytime. I dont think there should be a cap on it, though.

If someones gotta change their name THAT MANY TIMES, they should pay the big bucks!!

I think a cap is necessary but somewhere stupid expensive, not 5m. How about 1.2-1.5b?

What i'd prefer more than a cap though is a cool down for name changes so if you dont change for awhile the price goes down or you get a free name change or something. I change my name every one or two years or so, sometimes by peference, sometimes for account security, and it'd really suck to eventually be paying so much although it really wouldn't deter me personally from doing so.

Scammers aren't the only people who change their name. I know people who change their name because of an upcoming holiday or for special events.

Its going to do more harm than help.

I disagree on not having a cap to it. Hell, even a 5m cap seems ridiculous. It should go up 10k each time.
Besides, how would it truly hurt the scammers? They are going to scam whether or not they change their name. Their ID will always be the same. Eventually, they will just reset and repeat the process while leaving the fair players hanging left to dry.

This I would agree with. Sometimes people change their name for selling busting reviving holidays you name it. They shouldn't be permenently penalized for this.

I'm ok with the doubling.

as for the holiday events and such, maybe a condition could be added so people could change up to a number of characters of their names and still keep the original costs.

What about not adding a cap, could deflate the economy a lot, as I know some people change their name daily. Some costs reaching up to hundreds of millions to get away from hunters.

There is one alternative, that i was thinking of. Maybe remove the name change option all togethor, and impliment an alias list. Put this Option in the Settings area. There you would be able to put togethor your list of aliases (5 max) and switch aliases too .

This list would cost someone a onetime payment of say 10million dollars, which would include your GameName that you would like to use most of the time, plus 4 more aliases, which once they were placed in, they couldnt be changed, so making a new name should be carefully considered.

Or...if 10Million is too much with a non changable list, then maybe make the fee, points, for a changable list. Like when someone wants to re-arrange their merits (in the merits screen), it works on an incremental point system. So start the name change list, at say 500 points, and everytime someone wants to change all their aliases again, increment the amount by 250 points, maybe even capping this out at somepoint, or not..=|

Hope this is a better solution..thanks
