Little Christmas (=Epiphany) is Jan 6th
It already started enough days before christmas, so it doesn't have to continu till after Little Christmas.
It would also mess up the competitions. We know that they normally start the 5th, and end the last day of the month.
Adding extra days for christmas, halloween, easter and such would be that timing up.
