As we all know that when we attack in wars we get respect and same faction. So when we do an OC successfully the faction gets respect but why not the members who take part in it. As to do an OC it takes hard work and so the faction members who complete the oc they should gain the respect they deserve. The respect gained by each member will be equal to the total respect gained in the oc divided by total no. of members in it. For eg. when we do an oc and get 8 respect for it and if there are 3members each will get 2respect.
I think more and more people will take initiative to do an oc then. And we will get 2nd way to earn the respect.
What about the extra two respect in your example? What happens to that respect? Do two of the members gain three and the other only two? How would the game decide who gets the leftover respect? Would it be random, or would nerve bar play into who gets the extra respect?
Since this would help faction members with respect awards you would need to answer these questions so some folks don't feel shafted by the system. I'm all for earning more respect so I can get those awards faster, but there needs to be more detail please.
The total respect gained from an OC aint fixed and random but the members are fixed. So there are only few ways to give that leftover respect. Atm they are
2. To the leader
3. It goes to faction and every membeq of the oc team gets same respect.
And np kisoke it happens.
If you're gonna go that route I'd say any leftover respect ,after each participant gets the same amount, doesn't get awarded to anybody. The faction would still see the total respect increase, but each participant would only get two resect. That way it's fair to everybody.
Overall it's not a bad idea. The new respect awards can take a long time to earn if you're not in a faction that can accomplish 50-100 chains on a regular basis.

If this is to be implemented, there should also be a penalty for oc failures, loss of respect
I totally agree with this but the question is how much respect you should lose with failing a OC. Would it be the same amount of respect that you would have gained with succeeding or would it have totally independent rates

Mate OC take time. And we say that time is the most precius thing in the world. So for that time we wait for it to be done, we should get something and respect is what we want.
although i do like this idea, you actually gain crime xp for the oc's when you succesfully complete them, also lose if you fail, so really you are gaining something for the oc, also the whole faction can now initiate/ create / cancel etc oc's if the leader/ co changes thew permissions, so why would the leftover respect go to the leader, i would go for what bloodred said tbh

idea is good and the leftover respect about which you are talking should be given totally randomly
or the other possibility would be to make the OCs give out exact amounts of resp so that there wouldnt be any leftover respect
