Do you meet all of the factors required?

I am very active in game, IRC and forum. I am not a subscriber for various reasons, but I do have about 3500 days of donator status so if this factor was just about ensuring I intended to stay I'd guess thats good enough.

What is your in-game age?

1391 days

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?

I know the inner workings of this game and I can see the long term consequences. I have often warned about flaws in various updates just to see them changed months or years later after first being heavily exploited. I can also see that some things are good for the game even if it means a set back for me personally.

Tell us a bit about yourself

Mid-twenties, male, Master of Technology. What do you wanna know here really?

What is your general play style in Torn?

Inquisitive. I like to figure out every last detail about hidden game dynamics.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?

Community and team work. I've met lots of friends on this game that I talk with every day on IRC. Warring was my favorite part for a long time, but sadly my faction seems to have outgrown the game so we don't get much fun wars anymore.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)

Such a tricky question. I support the intention behind most updates, but they often either come way to late, or opens for new exploits.

Do you meet all of the factors required?

All but being a sub.But being I have a number of days saved up from before the update,It would have been senseless to sub. before those ran out. I do however plan to sub. after these run out.

What is your in-game age?

1687 game days old

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?

Mainly because of the things described in the original post. Or I wouldnt even bother here. I dont jump to conclusions before I have all the facts.I like to debate the pros and cons in any given situation.Doesnt matter if its affects me negatively in the end. And lastly and I feel most importantly,I dont make decisions based on the popular consensus.Simply said,I dont kiss ass just to make others happy and go their way

Tell us a bit about yourself

Im well educated, well versed and well spoken. Moved to Europe a few years ago. I like to study people.

What is your general play style in Torn?

Im more of a defensive player as far as game play goes. Like to joke around as far as the social aspect. It is a game after all.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?

Well,I used to play knowing that nobody could ever be the best. Now that has changed with some things that had been introduced in the game to enhance stats. Now I play to for reasons I think most do,so they arent the red headed step child getting beaten at every turn. I enjoy getting my stats to levels I want them and for the most part playing poker.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)

Hmmmmmmm, thats a bit of a loaded question. Taking the " I dont kiss ass" factor into account,im going to have to say im against the majority of the updates. Somethings have been changed to many times while others havent enough. I believe that there could have been a happy medium instead of the extreme. That being said, I know chances of pleasing everyone as far as updates go would be purely ludacris. But I do feel some things could have been done better. Hence, why im here doing this now

Do you meet all of the factors required? Yes....

I'm Pretty Active, I read the forums but don't feel the need to pad my post count with worthless posts, if someone has already said would I think needs to be said, I'll leave it be. I have a Few Donation Days left...but i'm not going anywhere, when the times comes I will subscribe.

What is your in-game age?

2033 days

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?

I've been around long enough to see many changes come and go. I also love communicating with other players, but young and old, and learning about what makes them tick, what they like and don't.
I'd be looking for what benefits the game most, not my own account.

What is your general play style in Torn?

Persistent ... I think the longest I've been logged off since i started playing was about a week, when i was on a cruise.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?

Community.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)

Well I've been around for quite a while, so that is a bit of a tricky question... There have been some i liked...others I did not. But I have always appreciated that the game must change to live.

-Do you meet all of the factors required?

I am active daily, use IRC and keep up to date with the forums - I'm a subscriber

-What is your in-game age?

108 days

-Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?

I'm a very insightful player and often can see long term outcomes or loopholes when updates/changes are announced. I can bring a perspective of newer but committed players, but one that is grounded in the regeneration and overall longevity of Torn.

-Tell us a bit about yourself

Early thirties, retail manager.....I do everything to the best of my ability or not at all, and succeed or fail on my own merits

-What is your general play style in Torn?
I'm not sure I have a style really, knowledge is power so I read up on game aspects listen to more experienced players then make informed judgements on my course of action

-What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?

I enjoy the warring and faction rivalry, the globally social aspect and in general learning and evolving as a player

-Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)

All games in this genre must continually evolve or risk becoming stagnant, that being said some recent changes to the warring specifically would have benefited from consultation, there are some very talented minds in Torn! I support the need for change ingame but not tinkering for tinkings sake, but I also agree that a close minded few have a very reactionary approach to all updates - neither is helpful.

Do you meet all of the factors required?

Sadly, No. The reason being why I don't meet all four is because I do not have a credit card to pay for the Subscription and I am under age to own one.

What is your in-game age?

My age is 220 days at the time of this post.

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?

I believe that I would be a fair member of the committee because I am often active amongst some players and also because I would like to see a change made to the way that torn is controlled.

Tell us a bit about yourself

I am A 16 year old student living In Queensland, Australia. I know quite a bit about how technology runs. I know how committees run seeing how I've been on 2 in my life in which 1 of those I am still on. On my spare time I use it to work on my Music Producing goals.

What is your general play style in Torn?

I would say my play style is to have a consistent amount of stats of each four so that I know that my defence is just as good as my attack or speed. Having just that extra cash also helps whenever I need it.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?

I would say that the reason I play is because the game always changes and you don't know what is around the corner, If I would be able to get a sneak peek at what's coming from around that corner then it would give me an even more of a reason to keep on playing and to interact more.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)

There has been 1-2 Changes/Updates that I haven't liked, But who hasn't? Other than that there has been a tremendous amount of Updates/Changes that I have just loved. If I could have the ability to help and give advice about upcoming updates, it would be thousands of players dreams to do so.

Do you meet all of the factors required?
No. I am not a subscriber and I've never actually spent money on this game. I don't think that's a bad thing however and I don't really see why someone needs to be a subscriber for the position in question, I have seen more than one donator quit with many months left of their donator status.

What is your in-game age?
1990 Days

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?
Because I've always been very pragmatic about Torn City and what goes on. I had my whiny new player days like most others but I'd like to think of myself as a pretty well-rounded and reasonable individual when it comes to the game, how it's played and the updates that effect the community as a whole. I have alot of patience but I don't suffer fools and I believe I'd add something positive to a group of people who would help to convey the right information to others. Ask anyone I've ever had start this game with me, I explain everything and the reasoning behind it. Even the things I don't like I vocalize the justification for. I'll be fair and honest above all else.

Tell us a bit about yourself
I am a 20 year old college student and have been playing Torn since I was in the 9th grade. I went through a period of time where I "quit" but I came back in due time once I realized that Torn was the only browser-based game I really had an interest in investing long-term amounts of time into. I enjoy the study of history, languages and entertaining crowds of people. One of my more esoteric hobbies is organizing groups of people or just making templates for organizing groups of people. I'm a Leo and I don't really know what else to put here. I suppose I could just list things off but then again that wouldn't be very useful. I guess I'll just end this section with "If you wish to know more, please interview me."

What is your general play style in Torn?
I found my niche as a drug runner early on. Once the points updates made flower running the secret to wealth as a runner, I followed suit. Otherwise I like to organize people into a close-knit, effective group (i.e. My faction) and I also enjoy organizing said group in a very different way than most do. Since Torn is a social game, I stress getting to know people alot but I tend to do this without utilizing IRC too much. In addition, I plan for the long-term especially since the new education updates were implemented which rewards long-term goal setting and different "builds" for your character. I try to invest in things that compensate for my ultra-low battlestats and I am constantly plotting, scheming or just making sure the little I do have here is maintained.

What is your favorite part of Torn, why do you play it?
For me personally my favorite part of Torn is the factions. Always changing, always part of the biggest controversies in the community itself. It's the way people get together in the game it's the driving force for almost everything on the site maybe with the exception of money.

As for why I play Torn, that is a question I asked myself a long time ago when I had considered "quitting". When I came back, after playing some other Browser-based games, I found that they all had a very stagnate taste to them. They weren't constantly changing and they weren't as different as Torn was. Not to mention, Torn is a very free flow game. Take the factions for instance, because Torn doesn't have an automatic, rigid organization system for it's factions like the game torncity does, you can really organize your faction however you want. Or how you can build your character in the game itself, there's little enough so that you can be very well-rounded in the game (given enough time). But there's also more than enough you can choose to specialize in and I see Torn growing to include more features and more things you can choose to do/specialize in. That and I have been playing a long time, so Torn has almost become a part of me in an odd way.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)
Generally I am for most of the updates. I hate how those who had a clear advantage in an older, flawed system keep whining about it in the forums. The staff and developers have good reasons to update what they decide to update because they see how it affects the community as a whole.

One thing I was not in favor of, however was the removal of dog fighting ages ago. I see why it happened, it became a huge monster that it wasn't intended to become. But I feel as though it could have been saved in some way. It was a fun feature and it's one that's present in any criminal underworld and I feel as though it (or something like it) should be brought back.

But generally, I enjoy the updates we get because it shows that the staff here are constantly interested in how we, the general populace of Torn, are doing all the time . If a game's staff stops caring about the shifting dynamics of their own community, the game stagnates and that's not good for anyone.

Do you meet all of the factors required?

Game Activity - I log in many times, every day. Probably more than I should.
IRC Activity - I try to get on IRC at least once a day to meet up with my faction members and friends. If I'm at work I am usually idle.
Forum Activity - I am fairly active on the forums. I read up on all the new events and going-on's. I usally just lurk and read but if I feel I should speak my mind, I definitely do.
Subscriber status - I am not a subscriber, but only because I do not wish to drop that lump sum of money. I prefer to pay monthly and I plan on doing so for a long time.

What is your in-game age?

Age: 2,261

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?

I believe I would be a good member for the player community because I have been playing Torn for more than six years, almost a third of my life, and could use my knowledge of the game to improve the experience for new players and old alike. I used to be a staff member and made my way all the way up to Secretary until my school work got to be too much and I had to leave my position to ensure my grades would not slip. Now that I have graduated though, I would love to be able to get back into the system an d help improve the game any way I can.

Tell us a bit about yourself

I am 20 years old and live in Canada. I enjoy Torn very much as well as hockey and other computer games.

What is your general play style in Torn?

I am not much of a competitive player. I play to make friendships and experiment with all the features such as racing and dogs, when they came out oh so long ago. I used to play the stock market but with the upcoming change, I am unsure as to how it will affect me.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?

Definitely the events such as the current one for dog tags or Halloween town. I look forward to each and every one and try my best at each one. I also really enjoy interacting with the people I meet in the game and have made many new friendships through my years in Torn.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)

Generally I am for changes, as change is what keeps people playing. Although I would like to see some changes thought through a bit more and tested so they would not have to be constantly redone and re-released as so it messes everyone else up that has already put much effort into them such as racing, stock market, old Christmas items.

Do you meet all of the factors required?

I am very active in Torn both in the forums (18,000+ posts) and on IRC daily, I currently have 275 donator days, I will be subscribing once those days run out.

What is your in-game age?

1487 days, as of 22/03/2011.

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?

I have been around Torn for a while now, so I've seen and experienced many changes, this gives me experience and knowledge in the game. I also analysis updates and the economy in great detail, I can see both sides of an argument/update which means I do see the 'good' in updates which might not personally benefit me or are long term strategies.

Tell us a bit about yourself

I'm a 19 year old Business Economics student in Bristol, UK.

What is your general play style in Torn?

I play both economically and aggressively, so I strive to become the richest through trading and stocks, while I strive to become the best with maximum training and chaining.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?

So hard to choose from, but I'd have to say factions. It's my favourite part because it's the main area in Torn where teams are formed and great friendships, its in factions where I put the most effort into and as a result I hope/am building a great team within the faction, that's why I love it!

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)

For the updates, as with my current university degree (Business Economics), I can see the positive and the negatives of an update, the long term and short term effects of it, so I can look at updates from a neutral point of view and analyse how it will affect each stakeholder within Torn.

Do you meet all of the factors required?

Oui. My post count is relatively low, and most of it has been in the last year, I find myself reading most threads in the forum but posting very infrequently in comparison.

What is your in-game age?

Age: 1817 days

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?

I generally wait and think about something new, such as updates, before passing judgement, I'm pretty fair and am happy enough to see an update which will benefit people, even if it doesn't benefit myself, I guess that comes with a being a (vague) commy.

My English is good and I'm unafraid to get into detail if it is needed, I've made suggestions in the past and have many more I intend to add when finalized, so needless to say, bettering this game is something on my mind a lot.

Tell us a bit about yourself

I'm 19, a student, studying Photography, Media and graphic design, intending to move onto art foundation next year. I'm heavily political and believe extensively in social justice.

I love games, having owned several consoles(ps1, xbox, ps2, xbox 360), and built my own PC I have played a fair few. For me though, PC games are where it's at.

What is your general play style in Torn?

Addicted? I'm planning on getting a smart phone just so I can access torn elsewhere...
I run a faction as I like having a regular group of friends to play with, and like team leading.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?

Factions I guess, nothing more fun than a hardcore faction war.

Like all good RPG's torn keeps me addicted purely on the basis of potential progression, getting better stats and what not.

What has kept me going so far though would have to be community, friends would be the reason I'm still playing, after considering addiction though...

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)

Largely for, but I have started to disagree in the last year more than usual.

Do you meet all of the factors required?
With my at the moment playing style I do meet the requirements apart from being active on IRC, to which I have access though.
I do understand how easy IRC will make discussions and getting opinions and am prepared to change that/ use it.

What is your in-game age?
1609 days

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?
Often I read posts in Forums with many different views.
I believe, that many issues have more than 1 point of view and not everything is black or white.
Also we get a chance given here to be heard and I believe we should use this chance.
Also I have no problems with the above mentioned rules for this.

Tell us a bit about yourself
Clearly my English is dodgy since its my second language, but I try hard to improve.
I am no youngster anymore.
Working online for crazy hours I still am a simple PC user and am just glad, when things function.

What is your general play style in Torn?
I am just an average player.
In nothing I will ever be best and am not overly competitive.
I just try to play best I can and use the given possibilities for self and friends.
When I have time, I try reading lots for to make sure, I don`t miss something.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?
At first there was no part.
I liked the idea of crimes and drugs and dogfights and whatnot- all the things I wouldnt do in RL.
Also I am a bit oldfashioned and dont like quick and fast games with tons of coulour and blood and whatnot.
Thats why I tried TC out.
And as of now:
TC allows me to play different every day, depending on how much time I have or want to spend.
When work is quiet, there is loads of things to do here to kill time. Talk to friends, read forums, play casino and when work is busy, come on, train, do crimes, bang! Done !

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)
Generally ? uh, yes and no for both

Some things I understand had to be done.
Some updates changed it for the worse- of which some even had to be tweaked and some were great.
This question I cannot answer in bulk and general because we are talking here about years and years and many changes.

EDIT as of 6th of march
and i didnt touch the above:
i stated above that i wont have any problems with the rule ched mentioned. that we have to be quiet about whats spoken in whatsoever channels.
this hasnt changed.

i also remember, that ched said, that once we knew some insight, we would understand better.
this may very well be the case.
in fact, i do not doubt this.

but i do have to say, that the overall handling with this FB issue was poor.
starting things on FB and then coming in here later: poor.
forcing the FB liking thingies on us by raping the simple user to be forced: poor.
giving us a way out of this: wonderful and needed!
not announcing it: poor.
having a poor graphics artist telling us this without telling us it: poor.
why wasnt said: i made a too quick shot- apologies- here is your way out ?
chedburn, you gained respect back from me.
but i really was as far that i thought, i have to go and find another game.
i know you must be hurt by some things in the past.
i said to you b4, that you cant please everybody.
ii almost left.
i do not blackmail you with this one.
i am just one player. how could i ?
and i dont wish to.
but i guess you know what i am talking about.
i will not allow a game to rape me or force me.
that pretty much was it and i think it was "it" for you.
but then again, your game and good luck to you.
and good luck to me, that you keep handling it a bit more fair so i will want to stick around or can DARE to stick around
i really love TC but was the first time ever in all those years prepared to have to leave.
this now was pretty much what i had to say.

i still believe in what i said above- in my application.
but there were time where i felt, i should just erase this post here.
you gained respect back.
but i still do not know anymore if i can be happy here on a longterm base.
what i always thought i would be.
i thought, only game changes would hit me.
likem, or dont- basically.
oh well, i guess you know what i mean.

Do you meet all of the factors required?

I do not consider myself "very active" though have remained active throughout my time here on torn, the longest i have been away was for two days, twice. i host a bot on irc now (can sit in a channel 24/7, without the bot mind you) and when at a pc i can come on and will catch up and partake in irc. I have always partaken in the games forums, I know its history well enough and have contributed throughout the years in my way. donated since day one, annual subscriber since release.

What is your in-game age?

2028 days in game currently, roughly five and a half years.

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?

I look to achieve the goals set forth and care for the welfare of this community on many levels.

Tell us a bit about yourself

am a busy introverted Canadian.

What is your general play style in Torn?

I don't put much interest in my "character" or being the best in anything, I mostly set about to take part in what interests me here, be it people, events, ideas. I frequent monolith and certain public forums throughout my day, when i sit down later in the evening I enjoy catching up on faction related matters, creating or running events, and reviewing details in most aspects of the game itself, so am often trying something hands on just to see what the results are for me and I try to share that with my faction or in some cases the forum community where applicable.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?

the forum community, these are the people who i see and interact the most with here, a great deal of that is with monoliths forum, though I extend that to certain parts of the public forum as well.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)

generally, I am unsatisfied with updates, so against.

Do you meet all of the factors required?
I am a very regular player, I am on here a lot, I read through the forums a lot, mainly general discussion, suggestions, faction talk, graphics and sometimes questions. Althought I don't post that much I will have read most topics in these sections and will understand the basis of both sides of any discussions. I am also on IRC a lot, mainly my faction channel

What is your in-game age?
Age: 916 days

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?
Because I have had experience from a lot of the different sides of torn. Until about a month ago I was the co-leader of a low ranked faction, I have experience of getting attacked without chance of fighting back a lot, and now I'm in a higher ranked faction so I see both sides. I also have progressed through this game by myself for the large part and haven't really been given anything so I understand how much fun and hard work progressing yourself can be

Tell us a bit about yourself
I am a college student so sadly this limits the time when I am available but I will nearly always be on from aroud 5 onwards GMT. I enjoy things such as maths and working out why things do what and so systems such as the warring system greatly interest me. I work hard and I am fairly opinionated (not compared to some on torn though) but I keep my opinions written out clearly without getting aggressive.

What is your general play style in Torn?
I am fairly relaxed on torn, I don't revolve my life around it but I do spend a lot of time on it. I tend not to care too much about money, nor about stats, its just about having fun.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?
Favourite part would have to be warring and chatting on irc with it. Always great fun and its nice to be a part of something

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)
There have been many updates that I liked such as racing and the bookie etc. I have had some reasonably major problems with warring updates. All in all though I am ok with most of them and I like adapting to whatever is thrown at me, after all once they are done there is no use whining about it.

Do you meet all of the factors required?

i am very active in-game, in irc and the forums, but im not a subscriber due to the fact i dont have a credit card i can subscribe with, however i do buy monthly DPs

What is your in-game age?

619 days, yet i have been playing Torn for the past 5 years (give or take a few months)

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?

i think i understand why the changes are made, i may see faults, and i also believe i can come up with solutions to help satisfy most people, and im able to see how changes/updates can affect both new and old users. i also like to think that i can stand up and speak when somthing isnt right, or possibly detrimental to the game

Tell us a bit about yourself

im 22 years old, and i live in South Australia, which is a state in...yep, Australia

i have grown up with Torn as much as i have grown up myself, i work part-time in retail sales for a major fishing company, and in my downtime, i like to party (naturally) and be a total geek, sitting in front of irc for hours on end

What is your general play style in Torn?

not sure if its a style as such, but im a firm believer that battle stats are there to be used, so im a heavy chainer, and have participated in alot of the biggest chains/wars in TC history

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?

Aside from the social aspects of Torn, my favorite game element would have to be factions and warring. (sorry, i had to steal this JJ, i couldnt put it better myself >.>)

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)

There have been some great updates over the years, and some not-so great ideas. hopefully with the input from myself and other players, we can avoid little disasters (like the original implementation of the "new" stockmarket) but i also see the reasons for Torn needing to continually evolve, and keep up with modern MMO's

Do you meet all of the factors required?

No, I'm not subbed.
Atm I still have over 365 days left so I don't see the point.
I'm also doubting on getting subscriber because in general I find paying for perks... cheating. I don't mind helping out but not to enhance my own game.
If it is a necessity however I'm more then willing to become a subscriber.

What is your in-game age?

Age: 1138 days

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?

I don't really... I do however like to help out when I can.
Which is why I spend all my forum time in the suggestion forums... it interests me far more then random rants about game aspects or just random chitchat.
I do have the uncanny ability to see and understand the good and bad things of suggestions and updates and have no issues at all at putting my personal interests aside.

Tell us a bit about yourself

Well... I'm 25 and live in Belgium. I don't really do much... at all... Very boring person...
Which is why I've tried and tested allot of other browser games before settling in the city we call Torn.

What is your general play style in Torn?

If interesting to me I'll do it. If I become bored with it I won't
So I really "do" everything.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?

I play because I must... I have a mindless job and don't care much for an outside life... If I don't play TC I'll most likely end up insane.(or at least looking for another game to play).

I have no favourite parts per se. I do love a good gamble.(although I had to quit because I kept losing all my money)
Faction OC's have become interesting since our faction started trying to do Political Assassinations and I've also been investing more and more time in faction warring.
Oh and I'm a real sucker for merits and honors... well achievements in general. I will go through great lengths and spend much time getting them. I'm like that in all games though.
Other then that I visit the suggestions forum.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past?

For... I try to maintain a positive outlook on things, so I focus more on the plus sides of changes rather then focusing on the negative.

Do you meet all of the factors required?

Yes. I'm usually on Torn 5+ hours everyday, whether it be at home, uni or on the phone. I do have IRC both on my desktop and phone so I will easily be able to join in the committee debates. Also very active on the forums, I try to answer questions from new and old players as much as possible. I am a subscriber, and plan on being here for the long term.

What is your in-game age?

772 days

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?

I think I'm fairly intelligent, insightful and able to communicate my ideas to people well. I get on well with people and although I have strong opinions myself, I'm never afraid to admit I'm wrong and change my opinions if someone has presented a cogent argument. I think having a committee is a fantastic idea for the long term development of Torn and I'd be glad to be a part of it.

Tell us a bit about yourself

My name is Matthew and I live in Scotland. I go to university and am currently studying computing science in my 3rd year.

What is your general play style in Torn?

I am a trader mostly. I trade high value items for profit.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?

Probably my favourite part of Torn is the official events/competitions. They really create a buzz around Torn and it's always great to see.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)

There has been changes I have liked and ones I haven't, but generally I love logging into Torn and finding a new change or update. That doesn't mean I don't think I could improve updates I did agree with, or that I think ones I didn't agree with were unmitigated disasters. I always have an opinion on everything and would love a chance to share it and make Torn the best game it can be.

My favorite part of torn is the forums. There always the first and last place i look. Im constantly browsing through them. There the main reason i play, as well as the friends ive made here. Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?

After playing torn for years I've seen a lot of chainges i've liked and also a lot that i've misliked. I want to make torn a better game then it's today and if i can be able to help with that i would be thankful. After many years in torn I've tried it all and think I have an good experince with me into the group. Sometimes i've try to view torn analyticly cause of my uni studies

Tell us a bit about yourself

I'm 22 years old male from Norway. I study history and mediascience in the university and in my spear time I'll play torn, skiing in the winter and runing in the summer.

What is your general play style in Torn?

My general way of playing is the old chaining way. I love a good faction war. Where you hosp a lot and tires not to get hosped that many times yourself. Not that easy with my stats I also tryes everything new but somethink i get boored of and then it's back to what i like best, chaining. I'll try to train to get stronger to be even more helpfull.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?

My favourite part is the chaining, but if you think about the chaining is fun cause of all the players come together and do something together so i have to say that the community is what makes it so fun, and I thankfull for the good community!

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)

Generally I've been against, but I have to say that it's different for each update, cause some are really good and others again i think ruiens the game.

Thank you

Yes! I meet all the factors except the subsriber one, as I belong to not so rich family I don't have any credit, debit paypal or anything through which I can buy and afford subscriber package. After 3 years I might have it when I complete studies and take it to the next level

What is your in-game age?

1026 days

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?

I would be a good member of the committee because I am a critical thinker when it comes to changes and updates as I have to make these kind of decisions everyday during my job.

I am 19 years old and I live in the US, I am the Director of IT at SecureLive, LLC. At SecureLive we do website security and hosting. I feel I may be able to help Torn reduce server costs and also provide them with programmers to make this game the best it can be.

What is your general play style in Torn?

My play style would be to train hard and be the best faction member I can be.

What is your favorite part of Torn, why do you play it?

I enjoy talking to people from all over the world. Also the Factions and Warring is my favorite.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)

I have to agree with some of the past updates, and I disagree with some. I would really have to sit down and think "Is this the best for the majority". All in all change is good. At least Torn is working to make this game better as the days go on but need our help to make it the best.

I meet all requirements

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?o
I see a lot of the small short and long term problems that Torn is addressing, I'm ex-military so I strive myself for perfection, and believe I can do the same as a committee member if selected.

Tell us a bit about yourself
I am 24yrs old, ex-military, love games, and the more challenging something is the more addicting it is for me.

What is your general play style in Torn?
I'm sorta of an all-around player if you look into my stats you'll see I wish I had more energy, Love the aspect of attacking, the joy from mugging and catching someone with millions, and even got addicted to the dump searches for awhile 1500+.

What is your favorite part of Torn, why do you play it?
I play for the challenge of being the best I can be. But if I had to pick just one part of the game it would have to be the attacking and the setup of chaining.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people) To be honest I'm about 50/50 on the updates that come out but after being apart of them for a few days I would say I've been a fan of over 90% of the updates.

Do you meet all of the factors required?

Game activity, I am very active, other then when im asleep i never get to full energy and very rare my nerve gets full either.
I have even gotten myself a phone with the internet just so i can be more active.

IRC activity - I havnt been very active on IRC for awhile but i will become more active if accepted.

Foru, activity - I spend most of my time on TC in the forums looking for decent disscussions to take part in but dont post much on the usual whining threads we are currently getting.

Subscriber Statis - I am not a subscriber as i dont like to have direct debits so instead a buy a new DP at least 2 days before my current one ends.

What is your in-game age?

Age: 1943 days

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?

I would be a valued member of the committee as I always listen and always try to see the argument from both sides.
I have been playing this game for many years and want to do the best i can to see that it keeps running, even if updates effects my civilian in game in a negative way, if they are for the good of the game i will support them.

Tell us a bit about yourself

My name is Craig, i am a 19 year old male from wales, I am currently umemployed (which is giving me alot of free time to spend on my PC) but used to work in a call center giving me good communication skills and a better understanding of how to deal with the general public.
I belive those skills will aid me greatly in helping the committe.

What is your general play style in Torn?

I like to spend alot of my time chaining as i see that as the best way of interacting with the community, I have infact recently starting my own faction for this very reason.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?

I think the part of torn that has made me come back everyday for over 5 years is the factions as its a great way to meet new people, make new friends and generaly have a good time playing the game.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)

I am in general for the updates as they help the game and create new challanges for the older players, tho i do think some could be improved (eg faction wars) i understand it will take time to find a system that works well and the majority are happy with.

Yes, I am not a subscriber but I am a true donator.

What is your in-game age?
352

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?
I feel as though I bring a well rounded sense of logic to the table. As well as a bipartisan aspect to everything. I look at both sides of the spectrum before making assumptions or decisions. I believe that is an important trait to have when looking to represent people. I am for what is best for everyone, not just the upper or lower tiers.

Tell us a bit about yourself
I am a 21 year old university student(business). I currently work in accounting/finance. I am also a part of student government.

What is your general play style in Torn?
I am generally passive, unless provoked to aggressive. My name does a good job at representing what i do on here. Im about making money as i would never be able to catch up to substantially higher players. Also, i am a realist.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?
I play for the economics. The stock market, trading, making money. It all appeals to me.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)
While i dont pretend to have been here since the beginning i feel that updates that benefit the people are ones that i am for. In ancient Rome there was an emperor, and even he had a senate. I think a torn where there was a diverse opinion and voting system would be a better torn for everyone. With that said, i am for updates as long as they are sensible and beneficial.

All of them except activity in the forums - i tend to read them and instead of jumping to concludsion and posting ranting post - i watch for the changes to take effect...

What is your in-game age?
1750+ days old.

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?
I'm ex-staff, and also a dedicated torn city player and will continue to be whether accepted or not. I joined staff to help members, and i ran irc when the old irc was running like crap (dying constantly - and unstable) - I have worked with the staff already and still have a strong bond with alot of them, unforunately not to much with others, but i can work past that - and be completely un-bias'd - i have been a part of helping with updates already, New item descriptions like the high-heels, and other changes/testing.

Tell us a bit about yourself.

I am very knowledgable about the game, and the current need of other members.. I'm 26 years old, and play from the office, the most important thing is, i play this game for fun, and enjoy it. I no i can be of help, However the choice is yours.

What is your general play style in Torn?
Play style? - I play to win, to be the best i can, and until New Players chat was removed i sat there for hours and hours helping new players get a good start. - I play this game to help the people who relaly wanna help themselves.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?
My favorite part is getting to know others, the competition of being the best, What keeps me coming back is the thrill that i might unlock something new, or be a part of something that is legendary in the game.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past?

You know there has been some great updates in the past, IE: the faction war based is bad ass, its by far my favorite update, and though i thought i would dislike the war system after the 3rd change, i was wrong it turned out to be very productive.

The trade system was another awesome update!
The new roulette system - awesome.
The new blackjack limits! - Awesome.
Flowers/Plushies for points ( I even travel now, which was rare before)

Others changes that i dislike where -
Removing the ability to buy donator packs via points. (Unfortunately alot of people can't/won't pay real life cash to better themselves in the game.)

Removal of New Player Chat from older members - ( No way to help newbies that have are willing to help themselves.)

I also miss the old times - where staff seemed to be willing to talk to players and bull shit with them.
Now unfortunately everyone is either so busy or pre-occupied with other things, BRING back the fun irc! ( Where everyone feels welcome, not just a few people!) =P

Do you meet all of the factors required?

I am an fairly active player, I try my best to be on the game as much as possible during the day. I Read the forums daily although I do have a low forum post count. I active on the irc now and again, I used to be very active on the irc however i have kinda fallen away from it due to personal reasons but I try my best to get on as much as possible.

What is your in-game age?

I am 1345

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?

Torn has become part of my daily routine and i would like to help with the growth and improvement of the game, I tend to look at updates from both points of view, from e good and the bad points. I have played through most aspects of the game and have saw things that i think would be a good improvement. I am very realistic i know that all ideas can benefit every player of the game, however i would like to help torn improve and grow.

Tell us a bit about yourself?
I am 18 and from Scotland, I have been studying web design & image manipulation at college for the last 2 years. I have ran a few website here and there and also help within a team to produce some websites for clients.

What is your general play style in Torn?
I am more of a laid back player, I like just building my money, my stats, I spend more time just hanging around the city than I do attacking other players.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?

i would have to say that i dot really have a favourite part of torn, I like al aspects of them game and how it works. How ever if I had to choose I would say that I like the ability to role play and be some else in game.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)

I would say that I am for the changes that that have been made however there are a few updates that I would have done differently.
