Do you meet all of the factors required?
I am very active in game, i dont use irc much but that doesnt mean i cant or wont

What is your in-game age?
1462 days

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?
i have maturity on my side, i am an enthusiastic player who wants the game to continue evolving, i have the ability to see both sides of an arguement and am not stubbon so if i realise i made a bad decision i am willing to say so and vote accordingly. i am NOT however buyable..

Tell us a bit about yourself
I am a mature player from the UK, i care for my disabled wife who also plays this game so have time to log in when ever needed. i enjoy a challenge

What is your general play style in Torn?
it changes depending on my mood but i would say i am basically peacefull

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?
the missions are one of my fav parts and i play for the community spirit my faction has developed

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)

It depends on the update. some have been great others have gone down like a led balloon
but i understand why there has to be changes to a living game

Do you meet all of the factors required?

Short answer is yes I'm a subscriber I use the forums every day though more as a reader than a writer and I also check irc daily though again mainly to check prices on drugs and such not to chat.

What is your in-game age?

1337 days

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?

I consider myself a sensible grounded person, I've been here long enough to see some of the problems that Torn has had and the solutions that have been implemented.
I like to think I can quickly get an understanding of ideas or problems without needing to have everything explained in detail and once I do I would hope I could bring my own perspective into a group.
I'm also not shy about giving an opinion and don't mind if others don't agree I enjoy having my mind changed by sensible argument if I'm wrong.

Tell us a bit about yourself

I'm 33 next week male and married with 2 children. I play 3 online games all text based Torn was the 1st I ever signed up for and it still keeps me logging in every day.
I live in Barnsley, England, and generally log in in the morning before work then through the day on mobile before coming home. I'm most active in the forums/irc during the evening TC/ GMT time.

What is your general play style in Torn?

Hmm I think most people who know me would describe me as quietly helpfull.
I don't feel the need to be the best boss/ faction leader/ fighter I much preffer helping others, though not doing it for them. I'd rather give a player knowledge than money as gainiing it yourself is always more satisfying.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?

I have 2
1 The fact that ched takes an interest right or wrong I'm glad he's here the constant updates tweaks patches, all the little things that wether you llike them or not need doing to keep a game interesting.
2 The struggle, torn is not an easy game I'm coming up on 4 years old in game and still find it challenging.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)

Generally I'm pro I would say 95% of the changes I have seen have benefitted Torn.

Do you meet all of the factors required?

Short answer.... no.
Long answer....
Game Activity - You will see from my activity I actually have no life outside of the internet.
IRC Activity - It isn't somewhere I go to 'hang out' but I am very familiar with it and for the sake of discussion would happily re-enter the fray. I don't currently spend much time there simply because my faction is not a warring faction and everyone I want to talk to is either on FaceSpace or Global Chat here.
Forum Activity - I am not overtly active in the forums but I read them and when I have something to say it gets said.
Subscriber status - I have 266 donator days left. If I am still alive in 267 days time I expect I shall invest.

What is your in-game age?

1950

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?

I am an older player both in game age in real age. I have been around to see a LOT of change in this game. I have also designed from scratch two nameless rpg games myself and am aware of the development they require to keep the momentum and interest of current players whilst attracting new blood.

Tell us a bit about yourself

I shall be f*rty next month. I live in the UK. I am disabled so generally laptop-based on a daily basis. I can type whole sentences spelled and punctuated correctly. Iso once tried to make me apply to be staff but didn't whip me hard enough. I really AM a female and I'm marrying my gorgeous girlfriend MrsSnuffle in November. I like chocolate and Acidalia is my #22 forever.

What is your general play style in Torn?

I'm a total merit whore. Not sure that counts as a style though.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?

I play it to be the best - at which I am failing, therefore I must continue to play. I guess my favourite part is collecting bounties because I don't gamble so I'd be very poor if I didn't.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past?

I must be honest and say that I have been completely against the WAY updates have been introduced and seem to have completely ignored any pitfalls or negative responses from current players. Lately updates seem particularly geared towards new players which leaves one with the feeling that now you have had the cash from us older players you aren't interested in our opinions or gameplay experiences any more.

However that said many of the small updates have been necessary; factions desperately needed an overhaul and that is a job well done.

My two biggest bones of contention are
1) the withdrawal of donator packs as items, in which I strongly believe you have shot yourself in the foot as ALL donator packs were income and it shouldn't really matter who was buying them - especially as the new "improved" option to earn donator status is useless for those of us who have played any length of time as everyone we know has already signed up.
2) the change to the stockmarket. I believe it would be grossly unfair to require people who have worked hard to gain a particular stock benefit to then have to reinvest simply to retain what they have already bought. If an existing shareholder who qualifies for a benefit block does not have the required amount of shares when the change happens they should automatically be credited with the exact number of shares needed so they do not lose out. If you are attempting to mirror what happens in reality then this is a giant FAIL in neon flashing lights.

On the plus side, dogs sucked. Thank you for getting rid of them lol

Do you meet all of the factors required?
I'm always updated with the annoucements and spend time in my company forums. I havent used the IRC in a long time and I've never donated though I've used a DC. That should count!

What is your in-game age?
Old as dirt, 1010 days.

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?
I've been part of plenty of 'committees' for games, forums, etc. and like they always say if you want something done then do it yourself.

Tell us a bit about yourself
From NC and I'm a big gamer and Football fan. Go 'Skins!

What is your general play style in Torn?
Make Money, as much as possible.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?
Poker! It's the easiest way for me to earn money. I'm a big and very talented poker player.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past?
I've been indifferent about the updates, none of them I've disliked but some I didn't care for. They're nice additions to keep new things coming.

Do you meet all of the factors required?

No, I'm not on Torn for 2 hours or more a day but therein lies the beauty of Torn. You can still have enjoyment out of this game play in little or no time at all. Seeing your character grow on a daily basis is very rewarding in itself. That being said, if I was part of staff, I would devout more time to the gameplay experience for the players of Torn. I am one of them.

What is your in-game age?

1931

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?

Unbiased, no special agenda, in it for the fun of it, fair, want the game to grow as it has done and I am a very satisfied Torn City Survivor.

Tell us a bit about yourself

I'm a player older then 30yrs old, I'm an equal opportunity killer, I'm loyal to the game, I've been turned down as a Torn City Staff before and may again but I'm still herel. I have confidence in Cheds staff and where he wants to take Torn. I'm in it for the gameplay.

What is your general play style in Torn?

Everyday it can be different but I like to see my player grow. I am not one of the strongest players in the game nor one of the weakest. I believe that Leatherface is one of the most recognizable names in Torn and I own it.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?

Seeing my character progression. Simple but still satisfying. I love to get attacked and own but at the same time its fun to see my character lying in the street - must mean there is more work to do.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)

Have always been for the updates because in general they have always been good for the game. I'm one that also has spoken for my support of the game via his wallet. Torn is something that a few friends thought we would be a part of for no more then 90 days - well, its been over 5 years. Something must be right.

Do you meet all of the factors required?
Yes (Will subscribe if I am accepted as I was going to wait until my donator status ran out.)

What is your in-game age?
1600 Days

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?
Throughout my education and work background I have always strived for improvements. I enjoy playing the game and would like to give something back. I have posted several suggestions including the recent war system change;

http://www.torn.com/forums.php?forumID=4&ID=11297649&start=180#12695445

The above topic has now disappeared after implementation because I no longer bumped it up! A early version I had save in word can be found below but this was edited and improved much more than the sample shown below;

A Solution to Faction Wars!
Ok lets get back to basics. This game should be about warring. Why do factions war? Well they war for respect for specials, but I would say it should be about the glory of being recognised as the best. So this is what I think needs to be done.
Create a list of all the factions in the game and refund all respect gained so we have a list of the factions in order of respect they have gained over there lifetime. For the example I will use 10 factions;
Full Faction List
_________________________________HOF
1-Faction A
2-Faction B
_________________________________Rank 2
3-Faction C
4-Faction D
_________________________________Rank 3
5-Faction E
6-Faction F
_________________________________Rank 4
7-Faction G
8-Faction H
_________________________________Rank 5
9-Faction I
10Faction J

We now have a list of the factions in order, so respect is now irrelevant and can be disregarded. Now this will be a simplified example but the concept should be clear. HOF factions have the most upgrades, so this could be steadfast x, Gallant II etc and add some new upgrades etc.
Rank 2 factions have less upgrades, Rank 3 factions have even less upgrades and so on.
So, how does a faction move up?
Well to move up a faction declares war on any faction above and if they win, they go directly above the new faction. Think of it as a sort of ladder, they will go on the next step in front of the faction they beat. If the faction loses there war, they lose a certain percentage of places.

Can a higher faction attack a lower faction?
A faction can challenge another faction lower down if they wish, if they win against a lower faction they knock them down a certain percent, so bigger factions can still have vengeance battles.
Advantages of this new warring system:
Deters the growing problem of slutting
Increases wars that mean something bring back the days of warring for glory where there was no such thing as respect!
Will bring back competition and fun that has been lost for a long time!

Please add and constructive feedback

I also suggested but may/ may not have been noticed:
bazaars (on the marketing form I completed)
The default life change (on the first page of an announcement)

I can see both sides of any updates, and I have had several jobs where problem solving is a key part of the role. I believe I will bring someone who can evaluate the impact of future updates and someone who can help improve Torn to make it a better game, and a better business.

Finally I have been around here a long time now and seen many updates, some of which good and some of which not so good. I have got a substantial understanding of the game which I believe is important for this role and I am very mature and professional

Tell us a bit about yourself

Age 20

12 GCSEs A-C (A* ICT, B in English are the most relevant)

3 A-Levels (ICT, Computing and Business)

Studying BA Management at a top University in the UK

Currently on 12months work experience at a City Council working in the Project Management Office. Whilst in my first month, I developed a system for my own use that saved about 20% of my time. My manager was impressed and decided he wanted to roll it out to all employees in the office!

Therefore if I can bring my skills from work to Torn, I believe we can improve the experience for everyone!

What is your general play style in Torn?
Friendly, enjoy the game, help others with advice. I enjoy making suggestions, and I want to reiterate how much I want to do this!
What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?
Favourite part would be factions. In my opinion thats what Torn is all about, making friends, warring, attacking and having fun! I mainly play because of in-game friends, and because I enjoy buying, selling and making money, a bit like I plan to do for a future career when I graduate!

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)

I am generally in favour of updates as long as;
A. They Improve the game
B. They are well though out and logical
C. The future impact has been considered
D. They improve overall user satisfaction
E. They aid donations which keep the game going

Other Factors required
Game Activity I am active at least 5 times per day, minimum.
IRC Activity I use this for warring, not a problem.
Forum Activity I use the forums a lot, mainly reading but I like to give my opinion wherever possible.
Subscriber status I was planning to donate when my donator status runs out, but I will donate if I am selected to do this role.

Please consider me for this role, I really want to help improve Torn!

Game Activity - Highly active in the game i'm always online when i come back home and i'm always on till i go to sleep so i am a highly active player.

IRC Activity - Highly active also, everytime i'm on Torn i'm online on IRC.

Forum Activity - Also highly active the forum is one of the main reasons i play the game.

Subscriber status - Yes, became a subscriber as soon as i could and i've loved the benefits i've recieved from it.

What is your in-game age?

667 Days old.

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?

I believe that i would be a good member of the players committee due to the fact that i enjoy problem solving and solving alternate routes to problems. I believe i am quite intelligent and can see many different points of views regarding updates and many other things that players may hold a voice on.

Tell us a bit about yourself

I am currently 15 years of age, i have a big interest in gaming and from Sunderland, UK. I'm a big history fan and i like to help people out whenever i can as believe it is in my nature.

What is your general play style in Torn?

My general play style is to try and be the best i can with what i have, i enjoy helping others in the forum and i am a big graphics fan.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?

I mostly play Torn for the community and the forums, i feel as if it's a great place to get your opinion voiced and to also make friends, i also like to help people out whenever i can as it's how i am in real life. I also very much so enjoy warring as it's a great addition to the game and i enjoy it very much so.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)

Generally for the updates, as at times i may disagree with what you and the developers are doing Chedburn. I understand that it is being done for the benefit of everyone and newer players as that is what makes them play having a enviroment that they know Torn is constantly being adapted and made better for there benefit.

First of all I really do like torn;

Do you meet all the factors required?

I am very active on the game and I am also more or less on IRC all the time. I spend about 4 to 5 hours a day on torn. It used to be more but I cannot find much to do at the moment. Also I try to answer as many questions as I can on the "Questions" part of the forum. Which is where most of my posts are. I am also a subscriber, I did not think twice about it and have not regretted it; plus the 100+ donator packs I purchased through PayPal prior to the donator system update

What is your in game age

My in game age currently (March 24th) is 636 days

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?

I think I would be a good member of the committee because I do like helping other players and have quite a few little suggestions that would be easily implementable but are not even worth making a suggestion thread for. I would say I am quite and kind and tolerant person. I have applied to be torn city staff 3 times including the current one and I think I would make a strong member.

Tell us a bit about yourself

Well, I am 30 years old. I was born in London, and I currently live in Knightsbridge, London. I have been employed as a full time pilot for 4 years now and currently work for British Airways. I am married and have 2 children one is two and one is only 7 months old. Also I am a great fan of the Call of Duty series and at the moment Black Ops is more or less all I play, that is when I have the time to play xbox 360.

What is your general play style in torn?

When I first started torn I was quite competitive and always tried to do the best I could, utilising every bit of my energy and nerve working out my hours to when I log in to torn to train and do crimes. But now I take it slightly and make a bit of money, train and make hits for my faction. But I also try to help players on torn as much as I can.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?

My favourite part of torn, is probably the simplicity of it; it is a relaxing game compared to intense online gaming on Black Ops. Torn City is very fun and very addicting, no matter what happens I keep coming back to it. I also play because I just like helping other players, to get them that step further than I have done. I also like to hold giveaways on #IRC

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)

I would say I have either not minded or have liked every single update up to this time and have never complained or moaned about any. Apart from one and that was the donator system update, buying DP's through PayPal and selling them was how I made my money. I used to buy about 10 a month but the update stopped this, but having about 80 days of donator status left I subscribed which I have not regretted. But apart from that most of the updates have been great!

I hope I have met what is required and am given a chance, because I have always wanted to have some sort of role in Torn City that can help other a players a level higher!

Do you meet all of the factors required?

Yes, even though I haven't been on IRC for hours at a time constantly to this point, I do have access and have no problem with that.

What is your in-game age?

1,285

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?

I have played a number of games that are player driven in their development and contributed many ideas that have been implemented, as well as participated in discussions balancing suggested ideas before they have been implemented. I also was a member of the official test group for a couple of games.

Tell us a bit about yourself

I'm 29, married, and pursuing a bachelor's in computer information systems which I hope to finally achieve next spring. I'm currently unemployed. I am a member of Alpha Gamma Sigma - Iota Chapter in college, and am a Freemason. I started playing Torn a couple of years ago, but got swamped with life and put Torn to the side for about a year. I came back a couple of months ago, and am now a regular, active several times a day.

What is your general play style in Torn?

Basically... I'm just a money hungry git. I use up my energy and nerve bar, and either join a race or travel to get items to try and sell. I'm also quite active in the casino - generally playing blackjack to make money and then poker to socialize when I'm out of casino tokens.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?

I like the uniqueness of Torn. It's based on real life things that most people tend to shy away from. However, my favorite part of Torn would be the casino. My energy and nerve are gone in a few clicks...so it's poker that lets me socialize with other people.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)

Generally... I believe change is good. Stagnation causes disinterest and boredom. However there are a few of the changes and updates that I have a few choice words for.

Do you meet all of the factors required?
Yes, I meet, or exceed all of the requirements.

What is your in-game age?
1646 days, although i had a profile before this one, so i have been playing torn since the beginning.

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?
I work well with others. I am a union rep in my real life job as a physicians assistant. I am used to debating in a constructive manner. I can take criticism and not be offended.I understand many of the challenges facing torn today, and am aware that expansion and economic security will bring a successful torn for years to come.

Tell us a bit about yourself
I am a 34 year old male from Masssachussets, USA. I am a physicians assistant in orthopedics and surgery. I love torn, music, and collecting movies/movie memorabilia in my spare time.

What is your general play style in Torn?
I like to make money, but I am mainly interested in faction life/ faction management. I also enjoy warring. I'm a fairly well balanced player.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?
My favorite part of torn is the community itself. It is very diverse, and filled with great people. I play it because it's fun, challenging, and a good way to get to know other people.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)
I find most of the changes made have been beneficial. I did not agree with taking away the item status of donator packs. I think that the cap on the point market should be taken off.

Do you meet all of the factors required?

i'm active on game and fairly active on irc though in a limit set of rooms (which can change).
while i may not seem active in forums, i tend not to lend my voice out to threads in which i have no stake or where it may not be needed (i lurk mostly).
i am not a subscriber as i have amassed a large amount of donor days.

What is your in-game age?

2205 days. (6.04 years)

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?

i have seen the evolution and growth of torn throughout the years. this enables me to apply logic through experience on many issues as i have seen past issues/solutions for many problems that continue to be addressed.

Tell us a bit about yourself

i'm a man, i live in texas, and i like cake. needing to know any more about me for consideration would be a farce.

What is your general play style in Torn?

nonsensical, it's a game; i play to have fun.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?

i play it mainly to maintain social contact with people i've met over the years. though i used to enjoy warring before it was butchered.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past?

it's a mixed bag to be honest, but i lean more so to the against side.

Do you meet all of the factors required?
I am an active player and i have not had more than two weeks off during the whole time of being in torn and that was only went on holiday and i managed to get online then aswell, I do join IRC for my faction and i would use it more if i become a member of the democracy as i only use IRC when it is important, and I'm not a subscriber because i do not have the funds to pay for it as im a student with no job. Also i use the Forums alot and i would like to make decisions which could make this game better, to improve the game play for me and others.

What is your in-game age?
1270 days

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?
well i think i could really help out by improving gameplay for each and every player of torn as i have used nearly every aspect of torn and i know nearly everything i need to know about torn. Also i have been a member of torn for a long time and have watched it grow and develope and i think i could be a real asset to make it better.

Tell us a bit about yourself
My name is Dave im 18 and i live in the UK, i ave studied at college for 3 years doing PC maintenance and when ever i get chance i go on a PC and check my torn, i worked my way through college and now im doing work as a technician and hopefully this will lead to apprentership or job.

Do you meet all of the factors required?
Yes. I am a subscriber, I'm active in the forums and active in IRC

What is your in-game age?
318 days

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?
I believe that I would be a good committee member because I would work on getting what best for the Torn community. Not what's good for myself or my faction. Everyones Torn future would be held in the committee members hands. I'm good working with other people, but I also won't just agree with something because everyone else does if I truly don't believe it.

Tell us a bit about yourself
I'm a 20 year old oil field employee from Texas. I love to be outdoors!

What is your general play style in Torn?
I'm an aggressive player. If I want something I go for it. I am also a frivolous spender. There are numerous ways to make money in Torn, so why not spend it while you got it. I am also a very trustworthy person. My faction members and I are very close.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?
The mystery behind it all. When you log on you never know what to expect. Am I going to be in the hospital? Am I going to be in jail? Is there a faction that is going to come in and kick the hell out of mine? I get an adrenaline rush from playing this game.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)
Generally, I am for the updates that have been made in the past since I've joined Torn. I think some could be tweaked some what this way or the other, but so far I've liked them for the most part.

Do you meet all of the factors required?
Game Activity: I am very active in this game and have been for almost 6 years.
Forum Activity: I am marginally active in the forums, reading more often than I post. If selected for the committee, it would be my duty to the game, the staff, and the players to become a more active poster. I assure you I would not be applying for this position if I weren't fully committed to the job and the forum action that is necessary.
IRC Activity: IRC has been dry recently and I have tried a few times to check out the channels, but there are very few active ones. As with the forum activity, it would be my duty to become a very active member in IRC and I can promise I will be very active.
Subscriber: I am not a subscriber but I purchase donations on the item market. If the item market for donator packs were to ever die out, I would become a subscriber. I'm a poor college student attending a very expensive university, so I need to save my money as much as I can. This is why I am not a subscriber. However, I am very interested in the future of this game and I will be especially dedicated to the game if I were a part of the process to progress the game.

What is your in-game age?
2086 days.

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?
I've been around Torn to see more than a handful of updates. I've seen what has worked, what hasn't worked, why certain things were done, and why others still haven't been. My experiences in this game are second to none. I am very capable of looking past my personal interests and focusing on the bigger picture. The great part about the player committee is that it allows those who actually play the game to make suggestions to improve it. Ched & coders might see certain facets of the game differently than us because they are not the everyday player. Although I have done the occasional "Ched bashing," I am very excited to work with him rather than against him. I am currently pursuing a career in consulting and already have experience in management consulting, so I feel I am equipped with the tools to help make a difference. I'm a very well educated, mature, young adult who is not only willing, but also capable of making a difference. I want this player committee to be about the best interests of the game (both long-term and short-term), and I would love to help facilitate changes in Torn.

Tell us a bit about yourself
I'm a 20 year old student of a large, prominent public university in the United States. My strongest traits are my open mindedness and my ability to take criticism. I feel like I can't get better without criticism, so I embrace it; I'm always trying to get better at what I do. I'm pursuing a career in benefits consulting, and I also have experience in management consulting. I view this committee as essentially a consulting team, so I feel my skills fit right in to what we are trying to do here.

What is your general play style in Torn?
I like to explore everything Torn has to offer. I've played most casino games, done most crimes, trained different stats, owned a company, joined several factions, done missions, explored foreign countries, owned dogs, tried racing, done christmas and halloween towns, participated in monthly events (e.g. the egg challenge), browsed and posted in forums, and used the stock market. I've pretty much seen everything about Torn. I like change, I like seeing new things and I like figuring out ways to make Torn better.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?
It's constantly changing. Without change this game would become very boring very fast. The changes make things interesting and more challenging. Unlike many other RPGs on the internet, the staff is very involved and always looking for ways to improve the game. Although the outcomes might not be perfect, the point is that they care and want to make the game as great as possible. With the help of a players committee, I feel we can take this game from great to unbeatable.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)
I've been for many updates and against many. For example, when defense was weakened several years ago I was upset because I was a defense whore. I later realized that it was in the best interests of the game to avoid everybody training defense. Updates such as the stock exchange and companies have been revolutionary and have changed the way the game is played. In general, I think updates are a good thing. Change is always good; it helps being new players to the game and helps retain current players.

Everything except subscriction, however this is my main priority once my donation runs out.

What is your in-game age?
519 days.

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?
I am online every single day without fail for hours at a time. For a level 20 i feel i have had my share of experiences. I was co-leader then leader of two factions that were in the top #500. And have owned two companies which i then went on to sell for major profit. this shows initiative, intelligence and the evidence that i can foresee how the game is going to advance.

Tell us a bit about yourself.
Im an 18 yr old attending grenwich university training to be a nurse, from England, Essex living in Grenwich currently.
What is your general play style in Torn?
Passive, im more into defense that offense however i can definately handle attacking, as ive had to show leadership through faction wars.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?
I enjoy the companies. the idea of having a direct effect on the economy and helping out your employees is definately time and money well spent. however there is definately room for improvement which i would be delighted to contribute towards.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past?
Yes, i like the variety it adds to the game and i also think it attracts and helps keep more members playing more actively.

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?
I am an understanding person who can communicate and debate well.
Due to my age in the game I have seen many changes and understand the game.
I am the most travelled and bought the most items abroad. I have particular experience in this part of the game. I am in the top 10 of dealing with points and consider myself an experienced player. I have made many friends, through IRC and forums and built up respect from other players. (Enemies are some who added me who did not want to lose me as a friend due to drugs)
I have always been an honest player and made staff aware of weird events in the game I order they can quickly fed foul players. I am discreet with information passed onto me.

I am a football referee, who appreciates why changes in rules etc are made and apply those changes fairly in life, this reflects my approach to tc. I have good knowledge of internet and pc workings

Do you meet all of the factors required?

Yes. Though I find IRC quite boring as of late I still have it and pop on from time to time, I'd be willing to use it to discuss things with the committee. I read the forums, but rarely post anymore, with Global you really don't need to post on the forums. They're all a bunch of arguing and flaming most of the time anyway.

What is your in-game age?[/]

2031 days. With about 500 days of inactive time. I've been back to playing regularly for almost a year now.

[u]Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?

I've been playing since before Torn had dogs, companies, overly rich players. I stuck with torn after the great crash. I know just about every in and out of the game. I'm willing to voice my opinion when something doesn't seem like the best idea or voice possible tweaks to the ideas to make them better for everyone. I've been playing torn for 5 and a half years now, and will probably continue to log in and play until the site vanishes from the internet. I think everyone's ideas and opinions are valid and deserve to be heard.

Tell us a bit about yourself.

I'm 27,female, I have two little boys, ages 6 and 2. I work night shift, stocking at wal-mart. I'm on eastern time. Usually on torn between 8am to 10am, and 3pm to 9pm, more so on my days off. I play a bunch of online games, but torn is the only text based I play. Used to be staff on another text based game and made new items, and missions on that game.

What is your general play style in Torn?

I'm a casual player anymore. I used to play "hardcore" warring with the big factions, back when wars were either for money or the destruction of other factions. Now I log on to train, sometimes attack, converse with friends and make some more fake money. I used to be a pretty well known/loved/hated player of Torn before I took that vacation from it.

What is your favorite part of Torn, why do you play it?

Right now just making money is my favorite part. When I quit I gave away all of my stuff and I'm working to get it all back and then some. I enjoy the casino a bit, but have some what given up on the lottery, you either have to have 8 multies to win it or be a newbie. I do like the education courses and working to get merits. Really the best part of torn is the players, I've met some amazing and some amazingly strange people on this game.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past?
(To help us pick a mixed range of people)
I've liked most of them. Companies were one of the best updates. I was disappointed with the stock market change when I came back to playing. The donator update didn't really affect me, it is actually better this way given the perks of subscribing. The merits and honors were great. Kind of a CoD rip off, but that was the most addictive part of CoD so it works here as well. Everyone cries that Ched took away our dogs. It was cool to have pets on torn, as much as I had fun with them, they were kind of a waste of server space and took too much time to take care of.

Edit because I fail at BB code today.

Game Activity - I'm very active. I can go up to 1-6 hours a day without hesitation.

IRC Activity - I have not entered the IRC for a long period of time, but I may want to enter as much as I can in the future.

Forum Activity - I have not posted alot but I usually browse the forums very often.

Subscriber status - I currently do not hold a 'Subscriber Status.' I may willingly to be one in the future.

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?

When I log in to Torn; I have nothing to do but do the usual things, go to the Gym, do Crimes, browse the Forums and then log out. If I was chosen to be a player committee, that will encourage me to contribute more to Torn.

Tell us a bit about yourself

I hail from the country of 'Brunei.' I'm still a student and I work hard to finish school as soon as possible. I might be a serious guy when meeting a new person, but soon after we get along, I could be more cool and humorous.

What is your general play style in Torn?

I usually log in, train, crimes, and then log out. But most of the times I like to browse the forums for hours.

What is your favorite part of Torn, why do you play it?

Torn is not just a game where you could just log in once, play, and then log out until the next day. Torn has many things to do, such as travelling, attacking, participating competitions, hunting, etc.

The reason why I still play is that Torn is still in BETA and is still continuing to add more contents to the game and I would love to see them.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)

To be honest, I liked most of the updates that Chedburn has made. Sure, there might have been negative updates, but there is more positives updates than there is to the negative updates.

What is your general play style in Torn?

I train alot, use what I have ( Private Island ) then once I get enough stats I can reap the rewards and be more successful that way

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?

The competition at the age I am in game, there are so many people around my age who I know are close to my stats and it's fun to try pass them and such. I play torn because it's a good way to waste a few hours, make some friends and one of very few games online i am good at.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)

As I haven't played to long I don't have much to say on this, I disliked the DP removal because I use to buy into the game and sell dp's.

No, I am not a subscriber. I have many donator days left and did not see enough incentive to subscribe yet.

I used to be active on IRC some time ago, not much happens these days there. Becoming a committee member would give me a reason to log into it though.

What is your in-game age?

2212 days.

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?

I have practical ideas that would make sense to suggest to the developers that would work to better the community, control the economy, and bring in more money to the game.

Tell us a bit about yourself

I am a 22 year old accounting major who is finishing his bachelor's degree currently. I spend time on torn warring and chatting.

What is your general play style in Torn?

I typically burn my energy off on training or chaining, then chat in Global for some time. Other times I am actively trading items and making money.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?

I've played torn for several years, the appeal of the game is one that does not need constant attention. You can log in, train, and log off if you like, but there is a lot more to it if you take the opportunity. Yes, players who invest more time in the game obviously get more out of it, but there needs to be a balance as well.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)

I have been mixed to be entirely honest, while I thought dogs were an interesting part of the game back in time, I also did not miss them when they left. Some other updates such as City Watch I only saw as a convenience factor, and not an actual improvement.

Do you meet all of the factors required?
Absolutely! I am able to use IRC, and have bought donator packs during the course of playing this game equivalent to having prepaid a subscription for the next seven years, and my remaining donator days should reflect the same, despite the fact that I bought a good deal more than I actually used, back when we could sell them. I am and have been active both in the forums and in the public chat, and I believe you will find that I have offered assistance to other players in those environments.

What is your in-game age?
Age: 1681 days

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?
I am an active member of the community, play fair and have a good understanding of a number of varying aspects of Torn City gameplay, including factions, companies and hunting in South Africa.

Tell us a bit about yourself
My hobbies include gaming, cooking, and bowling. I enjoy role-play (and in fact have a thread in the Role Play forum), am a social drinker, and limit my use of recreational drugs to the week-end.

What is your general play style in Torn?
I am generally outspoken and am not one to "hide in the shadows".

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?
My favourite part of Torn would have to be the community. The game itself is not original, having been adapted from Raven's unfinished script.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)

Against, as I seem to be the only person remaining who recalls Chedburn's old business plan in which Torn City was meant to be more community driven, and that its strength was in its simplicity. Many of the updates have served to "blur the line" between the clear distinction between fantasy game play and reality which was so vital when I first joined the site.

Application For Cloudkicker [44260]

Do you meet all of the factors required?
I am online every single day and usually for a few hours at a time. It is a rare occasion when I am unable to make it online. When Im working all day I simply come online in the late evening and early morning.
I am forum active usually in the Graphics forum. But whatever requirements are needed of me will be satisfied. This goes for IRC also. I have mIRC and can re-create my IRC account at any time.
And I have Subscriber Status

What is your in-game age?
2166 days old and rising

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?
I am a thinker. I tend to think about everything. By that I mean I am able to think of many different outcomes from a single action. I am able to put myself into others shoes and see it from their eyes. I am a great communicator and I'm able to process information well. I am more concerned with helping others than I am myself.

Tell us a bit about yourself
My name is Lee, I am 20 years old and I currently work in a theatre, in which I am a trained Duty Manager. I live in the UK. I am a musician and a trainee graphic designer. I have an over active, creative mind and I obsess about every possible outcome in every situation. I am a perfectionist and an addict of Torn. When I was in school, 5/6 years ago, I was pretty much the one that introduced the game to all my friends. Admittedly this got me into a lot of trouble with the teachers as most of them decided to play the game in school (Including myself). I am polite and able to communicate with the general public without issue. I take it upon myself to find answers to questions to which I do not know. I don't simply say "I don't know" I say "Let me find out for you". I am always willing to help others. It's almost always about making sure others are ok rather than making sure I am ok. I love the life I have been given and do not take anything for granted

What is your general play style in Torn?
When I login the first thing I do is check my mail and events. Then its the basics, Gym, Crimes. Then I will head over to the Graphics forum to see whats going on. I often have a quick scan of various other threads, such as Suggestions, Stock Market, Donator Forum etc.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?
I have to say that my favourite part of Torn is probably where I've met new people, acquiring new friendships with people often on the other side of the earth. I think I still play Torn because of this reason. I love meeting new people and I also find the game highly addictive. I feel it is in fact the updates and changes that keep players like me playing. It is why I feel I have a lot of ideas that I can put forward that would further help keep aged players playing.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)
I am usually for updates and changes. No examples come to mind to which I have been against. Hardly any of the updates/changes are something that affect me negatively, or even affect me at all and I know that helping new players is most important because without them the game really is going nowhere.

Changes are made with the games best interest at heart. People misunderstand them for trying to ruin the game, failing to realise that the game is a business and thus needs to be kept fresh and interesting. Changes are put into place as a way to bring new players to the game, not just to keep the only players from becoming bored. Changes that expand upon previous updates are ones that should be addressed. Such as, Being able to completely customize the new side bar to a persons self-satisfaction.

I thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you,
Kind Regards,
Cloudkicker,

yes, allthough my forum posts arnt as high as many others, i often care not to voice my opinion as some people are blinded and will ignore what your saying, even if its right as their so concerned on what there saying is correct. I am a bussiness man, I buy and resell to make profit, I own a company and used to own a faction, till i had to leave on bussiness and the econmy had changed and i started making a lot of money of selling points to other factions. Most people that know me, know that i am very kind, and generous, allthough I like to make money, it doesnt rule my world.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?

Torn is very enjoyable, as a whole, its multi dimensional. There are lots of diffrent people from all over the world playing torn, and meeting new people and making new friends is my best experience in torn.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)

My understanding is that, updates are there to improve the game, allthough in the past there have been some flaws in updates, most lilkly due to unforseen problems arising. With the committee it will the job to see these flaws and eradiccate them, with enough thought and trial, we can do this.

Do you meet all of the factors required?
I meet all of the required factors except for the subscriber status, of which i have not yet obtained. But i shall become a Torn City subscriber as soon as i possibly can. - I purchase one at a time, for at the moment i cannot afford to pay for 12months.

What is your in-game age?
My in-game age is: 1890 days. (Old bugger)

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?
I think i would make a good member of the player committee, first of all because i currently run a relatively large xbox gaming community of which requires utmost dedication and also i am looked upon to take in information and views that the community share and act accordingly. Therefore i have some experience in this field of expertise already. Second of all i have been playing Torn from near enough the very beginning of which means that i have experienced all of the changes and updates that have been applied, for example the introduction of the dog handling, the stock market, all of the faction and faction warring changes to name but a few. This means that i have come accustomed to the way in which the Torn community respond to certain updates. and last but not least, i am an extremely active and dedicated player and i understand the importance in taking in the variety of different views people have on subject matters and acting upon what is better for the majority as well as for the well-being of the game. - i also have access to Torn nearly all day.

Tell us a bit about yourself
I am an 18 year old unversity student from Wales, UK. I love all sorts of sports. And i enjoy nothing better than sitting on my butt playing Tc with a nice cup of Tea (Us brits love our Tea).

What is your general play style in Torn?
I like to think of myself as a "good samaritan" i love helping people to the best of my ability and resources as long as their polite and seem genuine i will help them. I dislike scammers and bullies of whom get no such treatment. I'm currently concentrating hard on my stats as well as co-running my own faction with my best mate.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?
My favourite part of Torn and the main reason i play it is because over the years Torn has become more than a game to me it has become a way to interact with a wide variety of different people, i have come to know and befriend many lovely people here whilst having fun at the same time! Torn brings everyone together and creates bonds of which are unseen in nearly every other online game out there. Also another thing that i love about Torn is the sleek and stylish, yet easy to learn and navigate, layout. And the fact that nearly all of the staff place themselves in the game and are not stuck up snobs.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)
If i'm completely honest 80% of the time the updates you guys make to Tc i completely agree with in the end. But as you stated in the announcement Ched i think it is imperative that we have a player community that can inform the public fully about these updates if they will be taking place, the reason i say this is that there have been many updates such as the following that at first i hated the thought of them being applied and intergrated into the gameplay of Torn:

- The removal of the points,
- The removal of the peacfull status,
- The Donator status update.

At first yes i didnt know what to make of them but then after a short period of time i grew to love the changes for i could see what underlying problems these updates fixed and gave to the community. This means that with a new committy the power to accept or decline an update by looking at the public as a whole and give out detailed explanations will put the minds of the people at rest.

Thank you,

Shane.

Do you meet all of the factors required?

I mostly meet all the factors, I have 183 days left on my dp days.

What is your in-game age?

Age: 2,294

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?

I feel I would be a good member for the player committee because I have seen many changes in torn, not all for the best but mostly could see why it had to be done. I feel that I can add another view on why some thing needs more work before just being put into the game. I really do enjoy torn but feel it is losing its core members just to make a fast dollar.

Tell us a bit about yourself

I am looking to join the Air force and I have a loving gf and a son. We are looking to getting married soon and just got the rings today.

What is your general play style in Torn?

I own Rawr, a faction that was peaceful but we know how to chain now. I mostly read the forums and see what is going on. I try to help out most that mail me but most just want money and that gets old. Most that know me in torn know where I am on irc.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?

I started off playing for the fun of the wars... and getting to beat up people. Now I would say its the people that keep me logging in. I love my battle stats and I work hard to improve them. Favorite part of torn would have to be factions.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)

I would have to say, I was against the updates that just came out in the last few months. I do understand why most of it was done though. Sadly, I think the game is going down the wrong path and selling out. Even if I am not picked, I feel this is a good start for torn. I really hope you guys are going to listen and not just do what has happened with the forum.
