Do you meet all of the factors required?

Currently, i do not meet all the requirements. I am yet too young to be a subscriber and i am not on IRC as much as i would like to be, but i'm fairly active in IRC and in the forums.

What is your in-game age?

2,170 days

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?

Well i've played the game for a while. It's about my sixth year i think. i've seen a lot, been through a lot, endured a lot. I know the game inside out, well enough to be on staff (yes, i have applied). I value the game very much. I'm young, bursting with fresh ideas, and i've got quite a bit of time on my hands which i'm ready to devote to the game.

Tell us a bit about yourself

I'm turning 18 in two months (subscriber, here i come). Finishing high school, moving onto college. I will be attending Dominican University in River Forest, Illinois, just outside Chicago. I am a mountain biker, i'll be doing the DINO series in Indiana this year. I'm a writer, i've written a few stories. I'd love to write some about/of/concerning Torn, so if there's a job open as Storyteller i'd love to take it.That just about wraps it up.

What is your general play style in Torn?

I guess my style is passive. I used to be extremely active in the forums, faction wars, and point market, but now i just try to devote my time to everything. I've raced over 1500 Class A races, I've got over 5 stock benefit transactions, i lead a faction (peaceful), i build up my stats, i fool around in the chats, i participate in every competition (or try to). I enjoy just logging on and building up my character, racing being my latest craze.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?

My favorite part of Torn is the "living life without judgment" thing. It's an RPG, yes, but these are real people, and they can't really judge you on here. I'm free to do whatever i want. I learn from Torn, from its citizens. It's a sort of escape.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)

Generally, i have accepted updates as they came. I am always for the improvement of the game. Only update that didn't agree with me was the loss of donator packs, and only because i am not at that age where i can subscribe. I fully support this game and all of [Chedburn's] decisions. Thanks for your time.

Do you meet all of the factors required?
Yes.

What is your in-game age?
916 days

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?
I am an active Torn player and also in IRC daily. I'd love to voice my opinion and help this game keep growing and moving forward.

Tell us a bit about yourself
In real life I'm 30 years old. Married and have 4 beautiful kids. In the game I am the leader of Soul Takers, and have ran a faction since I was 1 day old in TC. I am a people person and have made many long term friends here.

What is your general play style in Torn?
I think that really differs day to day and has to do with whats going on in the game for me. I am Aggressive at times and Passive at other times.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?
Mainly its about leading my faction, making friends and I also like making money, as I love collecting items.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)
Most updates I've liked, some I have had mixed opinions on...but I adapted and still continued to love the game.

Do you meet all of the factors required?
Yes. I believe i meet all of the required factors.

What is your in-game age?
I am 79 Days old.

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?
I believe i would be a good member of the player committee because for the short time i have been here, i am very active, and i love every aspect of the game. I would also love to assist in further development of the game, to keep making it a better and more enjoyable place to be. I am a good problem solver, and i really love a challenge.

Tell us a bit about yourself
I am 16 years of age. I really enjoy technology, and have grown up with it. I am studying I.T at school, and am hoping to have a career in the I.T industry. I am open minded, and can adapt to change. Im a great team worker, and love constructive criticism.

What is your general play style in Torn?
The basics, Training Crimes, etc.
Im a social player, and hope to some day be one of the best. Its a high goal for a new player, but im open minded

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?
My favorite part of Torn, would have to be its similarities to real life. I love the fact that you can keep building yourself up. I also like how social everyone is.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)
To be honest, i haven't been here very long. But in the 79 days i have been, some of the things i have seen have been huge improvements. For example, when i was new, i would give roulette a shot. When it was updated i thought it was much, much better then the old one.
But, i will say, from what i have heard, the older updates messed a lot of people up. In saying this, I do not judge and take things out of perspective. I will give it a shot and then decide whether it is a good idea or not.
Generally i have been FOR the updates.

Thanks for the opportunity.

I play quite a bit of computer and xbox but i balance it out with friends, basketball and other hobbies, im good at school and rarely have a detention. No enemies in my life just yet and nothing to regret so far. I love computers and im going to start coding for flash games. Do you meet all of the factors required?

I am a long time player - just over 6 years, and tend to lurk in the forums and IRC, adding comments when they are of value, rather than responding fro responding sake.

I have 71 donators days left, and will likely subscribe thereafter.

What is your in-game age?
2257 days

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?

In RL I am a director of Commercial Development of a large UK airport. My specific skill set is identifying target markets and value add strategies.

Additionally, I have been playing online MMORPG games for some 10 years, and have seen some awful games and some great games. I believe that Torn has the potential to be great.

Tell us a bit about yourself
I am 32 years old, a qualified surveyor, heavily into rock music, Lovecraft and related authors. I live in Scotland but travel alot, hence being online most days.

What is your general play style in Torn?
In the split between warrior and merchant, I am more towards merchant than warrior. That said, I do particiapte in some of the wars and monthly competitions.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?
I enjoy exploring the new updates, making money, growing younger players. Occasionaly monthly specials are really fun - Halloween/Xmas town, and the zombie/dog tags.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)

Depends on what updates you refer to.
There have been some disaterous "updates" - the capping of prices on the points market. And update should add something positive to the system. Yes inflation is an issue, but that can be mitigated by updates; ie a "bazaar" can be purchased for $2bn. Donator only destinations. Donator only purchasable items. I've got a ton of ideas like this, but I'm not a coder so not able to determine their feasability. Some of them have previously been posted in suggestions

That said, there have been some amazing updates. The new education courses. The new awards. The drugs. Companies. Marriages. The casino. I haven't played the race course yet so cannot comment on that.

An update should add a positive to the system. The arguments of "this favours older players" or "this favours younger players" will never go away, but can be mitigated by joint releases, or an update that benefits all players regardless of ages (hard I know, but it can be done).

The biggest issue that Torn has, is "managing the message". Very few (if any) players know where Torn is going, as a game. There is no Corporate Strategy or Mission Statement. Ched has not helped himself by media articles of "look how rich I've got" (regardless of the truth or not) as the perception is the game has become a pure value extraction exercise. The game should really have two parallel initiatives; 1 - Value preservation; keeping existing players and the related income stream; 2 - Value enhancement; recruiting new players and adding to the income stream.

Hope this helps. You can mail me for further clarification or ideas.

Cheers

SC

Do you meet all of the factors required?

Depending on how interesting the game is to me at the time i can be online nearly constantly, i dont usually comment in the forums but usually have a daily scoom to see whats going on, i rarely use IRC because i have no need to, this would change if i had an actual reason to use it.

What is your in-game age?

701 days, young buuuut i played this before, when mobile phone donation was an option and points cost 1.5K each, due to inactivity that account was deleted..

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?

I can always see reasons for and against things, this usually gets me in bother but i find it a vital part of life, I am unbiased on almost all subjects and can also see the difficulties in many things and can get round most issues.

What is your general play style in Torn?

I like playing Torn, mainly the bookies is what attracts me, but also it's depth and the people that play it also make it something thats hard to stop playing.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?

The alter-ego, being able to do/say what i wouldnt in RL. And gambling.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)

For the ones that i can see will negatively affect the game in the near futere but will drastically increase futere fun and game longivity. Wasnt a fan of removing the Donator Pack item but thats just because i used it as a revenue source by buying them and selling them in game.

Do you meet all of the factors required?

Yes, I think so, although more active in Forums than IRC. I'm active and a subscriber.

What is your in-game age?

766 Days.

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?

I enjoy the game. I'm very active. I can offer my (real) life experience in diplomacy and negotiation, as well as a chance to present a balanced argument, based on no pre-suppositions. Sum myself up in one word? Integrity.

Tell us a bit about yourself

38 years old - been around the block a bit. From the U.K. Currently a freelance writer and speaker. Former jobs have included work for the U.N. and H.M. Government, as well as private sector work in the property industry. Auctioneering is fun!

What is your general play style in Torn?

Generally to accumulate wealth, but love the competitions. Easy come/easy go, really, but can be agressive if needs be. I enjoy the forums, mainly F&G, where I compete and post new subjects.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?

A vicarious pleasure in doing what I can't in real life, while maintaining a sense of realism - a "mirror life", if you will. As above, I like the Forums and have made several very good friends in my 2 years+ playing Torn. The fact that it doesn't feel anywhere like 2 years goes to show how much I enjoy it.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)

Change is not always good but I imagine there have been some wacky ideas that have already been binned by the time we get to see them, so I expect it's all for the best, overall. I see myself more as a balance than a rabid pro or anti change kind of guy.If I look at the arguments and I think its good I'll vote for it, if I don't I won't. Simple as that. I agree with Faddy_NoBust, above (and no, we don't know each other) about the point rewards for NPC missions, for example, but I'm sure we differ on many other issues.

Do you meet all of the factors required?

I meet thw requierments, i am all ways in the forums reading but never post, i am a very active player i am on the game every chance i get and when i am out and about i play TC on my mobile. I am not a subscriber as of yet cos i got over 100 days of donator status saved up. I am in irc when ever i get chance.

What is your in-game age?

Age:41 days

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?

Even tho i am a new player to torn i feel the player committee will need a new players vocie,
I like to discuss every asspect of an update before it implemented in to a game. I have some online game experiance with other games and because i am new i might have a different veiw on an update than an older member of torn. i think it is important to have two point of views on an update. I am very talkative so i would spend a while discusing an update. I would not be affraid to voice my thoughts on update.

Tell us a bit about yourself

I am about to start my trianing with the British Army. I spend most of my time of playing torncity. I am also in to my gaming on xbox 360 and online computer games. I have help a with the making and ideas of a couple of online rpgs. So i think this would help me alot.

What is your general play style in Torn?

I like to help members as much as i can. I also like to make money and buy and sell drugs and meds.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?

At the moment i am enjoying betting in the bookies because i am trying to make some money and enjoy a bit of gambling.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)

I am very much up for updates that will in the long run make the game better for all the members of torn to play. But if there was an update i thought would not work i would gave my reason why and see what other people think of my reason on why the update would not work.

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?

I have grown through all stages of the game, up to level 66, naturally, and so have a sound knowledge of the game. I also have good man management skills as a business owner

Tell us a bit about yourself

What is your general play style in Torn?

Addicted!! I hate being beaten, and will win, one way or another, within the rules! Determination....

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?

Meeting people. I now have "friends" all over the globe. I also like surprising new players with generosity, were deserved.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)

I can see there is a balance in the updates, some being for game enhancement, some being business orientated. Some may not appear to be the best of ideas from the outside, but, hey, I don't know all the facts. Generally I am for them.

Subscriber status - Yes, for a Year, will be updated again in January

What is your in-game age?

Age: 2,105

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?

I would say i would be a good member of the player committee because i like to voice me opinion from my point of view and others who have a valid point of view, I would
say this is a crucial skill to have on being on a player committee. I also reckon listening to others is another crucial skill which is required to be on a player
committee.

Tell us a bit about yourself

My name is Sam Robertson, 19 Years old, Live in Liverpool - United Kingdom, I Study a Internet and Business Degree at St Helens College, I'm a Xbox Gamer which i enjoy,
i am engaged to my partner Hannah and have been with her for 3 and a half Years soon. I enjoy following my team Manchester United. I like to follow politics, which is
one of my major reasons i am applying for this committee. I have Stud for the Conservative Party last year in the General Elections (Which is the party in power in the UK)
I did lose, but in my area there is a large Labour majority, which we are trying to over turn. Finally i enjoy socialising with friends in the pub.

What is your general play style in Torn?

To look for a good deal and to make full advantage of it.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?

Favourite part is the Bookie (When i have money ), as i like to have a gamble.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)

For the Updates

Donation Packs - I'm for the change of the donation pack to the subscriber because this gets people from sponging of the game with the 100 points.
Player Committee - I'm up for the player committee because only people with a subscriber should be able to voice there opinion out loud
as they have paid for the privilege and are looking for the games best intrest.

Against Updates

Faction Stats Reset - I was against this when this happened because factions had massive chains and they they got reset this was frustrating to see peoples hard work going
to waste.

Do you meet all of the factors required?

I believe that i meet all of the requirements except for one, forums. However forums can easily be part of my torn experience.

What is you ingame age?

My ingame age is 1,032 days old.

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?

I think that i would be a good commitee member because i am not afraid to voice my opinion. I try to look at both the good and bad and then make my choice. I am very efficient and will always work to the higher goals that you have stated above.

Tell us a bit about yourself

I am 15 years old living in Colorado. I am currently a highschool student with a 5.0 grade point average. I play American Football and run track. I hate all the new music that people listen to nowadays. I'm kind of a old-school rock fan.

What is your general play style in Torn?

The way i play is mainly just train, train, and train again.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?

My favourite part of torn has got to be killing. I love it when a really high level attacks you and gets pwned. Its so much fun to see them cry and give out excuses why they lost. Then you attack them again and shut them up. lol

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)

I generally have gone with the updates and changes. Alot of them i liked alot, but some i was a bit iffy on. However i understand why they were made and its not like its the end of the world. I expect that with the new committee updates will seem alot better.

Do you meet all of the factors required?

Game Activity - Yes. Recruited two persons officially and recruited about 3-5 persons in the past by telling them about Torn but did not give them my referrals code because there was no honor or medal for recruiting.
Forum Activity - Yes. I read forum a lot but post less to avoid unnecessary accidents.
IRC Activity - Sadly It's Limited however can be active up to 45 hours a week.
Subscriber status- No. I'm not a subscriber yet beause I still have 200+ donator days left and I'd subscribe if the player committee and admins can keep players happy, for the short term and long term. I have donated in the past and most of my donator days are from my donations and not from using points for donator status.

What is your in-game age?

756 Days old.

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?

I simply believe I'd be the good member because I'm a active player and willing to help to people and make sacrifices for the good of game. I am a hard working and a reasonable person with positive mind who wants to become helpful person for the Torn community. And I have a good understanding of the game as Torn is the only online game I play and I always wanted Torn to become the best game on the web which gives a great satisfaction to all players. Besides, I'd like to be in proper part of the Torn community to work hard for Torn four main priorities within the player committee rules.

Tell us a bit about yourself

I'm 31 years old married man with no child. I'm originally from Burma aka Myanmar and currently live in London, United Kingdoom. I'm working 35-40 hours a week however I can log in to Torn from my work places as I work in administration with no heavy duties.

What is your general play style in Torn?

A peaceful/helpful person who play fair and square. And A person who values to torn carreer and reputation.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?

Warring/chaining is the one of my main reasons I play Torn for.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past?

I am for most updates and changes but sadly I am against for a few updates such as points market and recent stock market.

Do you meet all of the factors required?

Yes, though I’m not as active in the forums or irc these days as in days past that is always subject to change.

What is your in-game age?

2200

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?

Having played torn for years now, I’ve seen changes come and go. While I have not always agreed with changes, I’ve always worked with them. I am always willing to listen to the reasons behind change.

I’ve spent a lot of time over the years fostering a good gaming environment for players, young and old alike.

Tell us a bit about yourself

I’m a mature player, at 42, who’s been living in the states for a few years. I have traveled the world for both business and pleasure. Being an administrator for a fairly large corporation, I understand how to work with people, deal with conflicts and find solutions.

What is your general play style in Torn?

That would depend upon whom you ask lol. I have been a war monger back in the days of large scale faction wars to running a successful peaceful faction and business. I like having a good time on TC, having made friends and my share of enemies along the way.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?

I play torn because simply put I enjoy it, I enjoy the people and I enjoy seeing new players come into the game.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)

Generally, yes I’m for the updates, while there are times where I do scratch my head and wonder just why on earth they were made.

Do you meet all of the factors required?
I am active in the game i play torn every day. I am currently a subscriber with over 180 day of subscriber status. I read through the suggestions and pay attention to all of the forums.

What is your in-game age?
867

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?
I have good communication skills and i am always willing to help players, even if it cost me to do so. A prior company i had was set up for primaryly new players and i purchased the DP at the time to pay for their salary. Currently i use bounties to pay salaries of some newer players.

Tell us a bit about yourself
I am 28 years old currently a business mgmt college student with only 2 classes left until i recieve my degree. i am a father of 2 boys and i am currently finishing my degree in business mgmt. I am retired from the US Army.

What is your general play style in Torn?
My playing style is more of a laid back and i prefer to play the game from a relaxed position. my game play amounts to collecting bounties to pay employee's salaries.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?
The interaction with the players would be my favourite part of game play. the actually faction system is my favorite system within torn because it allows me to talk with people who have a greater knowledge of the game and the ability to gain a better understanding of how torn works.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)
I have been supporting many of the past updates the only one in which i have openly spoke out about was the change in december with the DP's. many of the changes i watched to see how they would affect the game to see if the update would be beneficial of harmful to the game.

Do you meet all of the factors required?

I meet all the factors required; I play Torn several hours per day. I have been using IRC for about 10 years now. I'm not an expert with IRC but I know the basics of it and I enjoy using the program. I’m always on IRC when I am on Torn, however I only started using Torn City IRC to chat with my faction members, since then I have joined other IRC channels. I actively read the forums, however I don’t always contribute because I am still learning, I only post when I have knowledge of what is being discussed. I have always had donator days in Torn, and since the subscriber status started I have been a dedicated describer because I love the game.

What is your in-game age?

Age: 213 days

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?

First of all I want to say I have been in the army for one year because it’s the national service in Finland, I was awarded the best army trainee which proves my determination and ability to work in a team. My style of leading is to take best care of my ‘team mates’, thus I always listen to opinions from my team mates and other colleagues. I would take into consideration both sides of the argument and make fair decision, which I think would benefit the mutual. Because of this feature I will listen players and this way I can give voice for normal player who has something to say and wants best of community.

Tell us a bit about yourself

My name is Tommi and I'm 23 years old, from Finland. I study 3th year on University. I started exchange student program in last autumn and now I'm studying one year at the Spain. I'm open minded guy who loves RPG games. I have been playing World of Warcraft since launch and seen the evolution of the game. Before WoW I played *game* for 3 or 4 years but I quit after they made it for 3D because it wasn't anymore the game I loved. I think I have fair good view about what is good and bad for the game itself. I do play only few at the same time at the moment only Torn because of exchange studies. This means I play only games I love to play and when love it I just want the best for the game, not best for myself.

What is your general play style in Torn?

My play style in Torn? I am a player who wants to be trusted and wants to trust people. Scamming makes me sick but I completely understand why it is legal. I like both the money side of the game and the stats part of the game, I have goals which I strive hard to achieve them. I want to surpass older people and I want to achieve merits and ranks as much and fast I can. Finally, I'm a team player and always look to put as much as I can into my faction, 110%.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?

My favourite part of Torn is making money because scamming is legal it's difficult to make friends when there’s opportunities to scam. So I play this game because I can make money and with money I can buy drugs, sluts, benefits and other items to boost my stats up. With my determination I like to play ‘hard’ to achieve my goals both financially and stats-wise.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)

Generally I would say that I'm for updates, I can see what you are looking into the long run and I love updates when they are good, even if it kicks me in the balls! It's impossible to bring updates and changes that will benefit everyone; I understand that they are for the good of Torn. This means we have to make the right choices and I think I as part of the committee would help Torn to move forward and to right direction.

Do you meet all of the factors required?

All but the IRC, just don't feel the need

What is your in-game age?

As of March 23rd 1339 Days

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?

Basicly what the comittee will come down to be is a bunch of unbiased indivduals who consider the outcome of Torn to be the upmost important both in the long run and the short run. My training involves me to make quick decisions looking at both the positive outcomes and the negitive outcomes, not just affecting me, but the person standing next to me, making the overall community happy.
Tell us a bit about yourself

Full time student, runs varsity track, letter 2/3 years going for 3rd.

What is your general play style in Torn?

Passively, play in events (besides dog tags) and prepare for faction wars.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?

Something new is always happening, it may not just be wordwide, it could be something small in your faction or company which brings great appeal.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past?

Depends on the update, for example of a pro; I like the new side bar, helps grab my attention more for when I should be doing a crime. A con: Cap on the point market. Yeah I understand that your trying to keep the in game economy a bit normal, otherwise anyone new who would join would possibly be buying a item for a mill rather than it normal price of a $100

Do you meet all of the factors required?
I am very active (please do not take the past 3 days into account because I have been away). I log on at least twice a day.
I use IRC from time to time, very rarely but I know how to use it and if there is a need to do so I will.
I make graphics in-game so am constantly in the forums. My forum score is 216 with 2,516 posts.
I have donator status but not subscriber status. I have had donator status for many months (it may be a year, I have lost count).

What is your in-game age?
1016 days (2008-06-10 17:52:03)

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?
I think I would make a good commitee member because I am not one to jump to conclusions. When game updates are made and we were able to post I did not troll the forums and decide what to do based on everyone elses' opinions, I thought about it and thought that the updates must be happening for a reason. I log on all the time and am keen on playing the game, and being in a commitee would help me contribute to the game and make it even better than it currently is.

Tell us a bit about yourself
I am a full-time student currently doing my A-levels (UK). I consider myself fair and unbiased, as well as tactical. I can write if needed (to inform other players), and know a lot about the game. I enjoy computer games, and have a PS3 with Fifa and COD. Pretty much live on the computer, with photoshop making stuff for Torn or for other stuff.

What is your general play style in Torn?
I am an active player with a mix between playing the game and in the forums. Recently I haven't been talking in the forums much because of work and me piling it up, but I am occasionally talking to friends. I have my own faction and want to start up my own company when the time is right, so I must be active to keep these maintained.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?
I think my faction is my favourite part of Torn because people look up to me and listen to me. It's not the sense of power that I am attracted to, it is the sense of responsibility for people and being able to help them. Although my faction is small, I have owned a few in the past and like seeing how they build up and get bigger, which is easier to see with the new ranking system. I also love how Torn is constantly changing and adapting much like real life, which makes the game more realistic and challenging in a good way.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past?
Generally, I am for most of the updates to Torn. Some are obviously good, such as the Sidebar v2.0 and the ranking system. However, some have not been so great, such as the removal of points. However, I live in the UK so know that people in charge do things for a reason, and I am sure that Chedburn and the staff have removed the points for long-term benefits. Basically I am for the updates because I know that they will benefit us, whether that be in the short-term or long-term.

Thanks in advance for reading this

Do you meet all of the factors required?

I am very active in gameplay, use Forums and use IRC but usually for chaining. Current donator.

What is your in-game age?

1295.

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?

I sit and read the updates announcements, sometimes with gutso and sometimes with wonder. After digesting them I wonder not only how it affects me but others also. I always think how it can affect all of I would pass on as a member. I would obviously respect the need to know clause until officially made public-that's what a good member would do.

Tell us a bit about yourself

42 now, live in UK. Older members would have a valued input. Married and have a family. Yes my dog died - Pluto. I work my self to death most days, but always seem to find time to log on my mobile to train etc during working hours

What is your general play style in Torn?

Usually quiet player, love to step up to the mark when my faction chains - this changes my style to 'fight fight fight' . I play the thinking, patient game.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?

Favourite or addiction to? Are they the same? Anyhow the whole game is addictive, many new updates strengthen this addiction. So my favourite part of Torn is the wealth of different paths you can take whilst you play it. Train? Bust? War? Peacemonger? It's all there to do if you don't get blinkered. I love my blue honours bar too-still enjoy working out why it's there.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)

Always was a promoter of Subscribing. Sure it got me slated in forums. Hell-bottom line is the game is a business. Against faction changes as we had just set a new chain record, which really wound us up! Racing was really well done but goes a bit flat quite quickly. Still waiting on stock market details.

Do you meet all of the factors required?
Yes - All though I was much more active int he past. The recent changes have declined my interest somewhat, but I can certainly be available whenever if my interest level was increased.

What is your in-game age?
1817 days

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?
I've been involved with Torn for a very long time. I was one of the first official moderators when that type of staff was created. I know many of the older players and newer ones. I'm also very attentative and currently work as a software analyst.

Tell us a bit about yourself
I started this game when I was in early adult hood. I'm older now and wiser. I've got two kids. Married, but on computers at work all the time. I'm a software analyst for a fortune 500 company, mainly focusing on Design (Business Cases, Requirements, UI Work, etc)

What is your general play style in Torn?
I use to be a heavy chainer. Now I mainly just relax and do the usual day to day stuff.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?
I've always love the community part of Torn. The gameplay over the years hasn't really changed, and hasn't added any real excitement, but the players are always great and communities always add a very cool dynamic to any application.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)
I'm not really for or against any of the updates. They aren't overly exciting, but I don't think any of them really add that much value either.

Do you meet all of the factors required?

I am a donator, and generally very active. I read the forums regularly but hardly ever post my own thoughts if someone else has posted similar opinions. I have the ability to go on IRC, but have not had much reason to do so much. But if required to be on IRC for several hours a day, this would not pose a problem.

What is your in-game age?

321 days

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?

I would think through the process of what the effects of the updates would have upon the players, whilst still staying open minded as to why the update needs to be implimented. I would also not be afraid to voice my opinion, and if i disagree if what someone else says i would say so.

Tell us a bit about yourself

I am a 36 year old father of 3 young children (6years, 30Months, and 13Months). My partner works whilst i stay at home to run the household, although my 2 and a half year old would disagree.

What is your general play style in Torn?

I work on building up my stats, crimes and money. Faction will be next.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?

The best part of Torn for me is the range of things to do, that and the high availability of Class A's. No 2 players need to have the same goals to be a successful Torn player. That for me is why i love Torn.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)

I have not agreed with all of the updates that i have witnessed in my short time here in Torn, but i have adepted to them. The biggest problem i had was when the points market dried up (Got Educated in History). The removal of DP's never really bothered me, as i was and still am happy to donate to a game i love. The racing update was fun, as was Christmas and Halloween Town's. Although i have mixed feelings about the latest update regarding the Stock Market. The availability of all shares will be a bonus, but possibily losing benifits that i have aquired without injecting millions more due to the fact that the share price has considerably fallen and not been skimmed, seems a little unfair.

Do you meet all of the factors required?

I don't meet all of the requirements with regards to the forum activity or IRC; however this has only been due to not wanting to crash & burn as many do by asking simple questions. Not all players are responsive! But I am passionate, hence my recent letter to the paper, which is my first published but my 3rd attempt in total.

What is your in-game age?

My in game age is 148 days. I was a donator from the beginning before becoming a monthly donator. Despite my tender game age I have logged in as often as possible – including during work!

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?

I feel I am new enough to accept change, but mature enough to know what will work for certain people and what won't. Every player has a different agenda when they enter TC.

Tell us a bit about yourself

I joined Torn from WoW, where I had been playing for over 3 years. Unfortunately they do not have the foresight to involve players in decisions and subsequently continued to ruin a good game. I work hard, married for 20 years & have 3 daughters. I am 39 and a pretty level headed bloke, I hope! My wife also plays the game.

What is your general play style in Torn?

My present style is low key. I enjoy Faction Warfare to a certain extent but not to the detriment of the rest of the game play. I am mainly building stats, doing OC's & building a small nest egg to upgrade our palace to a castle

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?

TC is an all round game, I enjoy all facets in moderation. I play TC to achieve what I want to achieve. I'd like to have my name up with Robin Hood one day for crimes committed; however I may have to have him permanently hospitalised to get close though!

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)

I have no problem with updates; what I do have a problem with is poorly timed and ill-advised changes that deter from the original game play in a way that is not conducive to making TC the best RPG in its field. Through proper preparation and discussion all changes can be accepted if not beneficial.

Do you meet all of the factors required?

I have donor status. I use IRC, to communicate with my faction but that's about all besides just checking drug prices etc but would be able to be on it more for committee. I read most of the forums often to keep up on what is going on in TC and prices etc. I do add some things to forums but not much. I could converse in it if needed to help on committee stuff. I am also very active on TC as well. I am on daily and in fact log in multiple times a day and am on for extended amounts of time most of the time.

What is your in-game age?

I am 480 days old in game.

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?

I have been playing for over a year (not near as long as some) and have stayed active the whole time. I read through the forums often to see what other people are saying and doing in them.

I am self employed so I should have no problem logging in to be involved with forums and IRC for it.

I have been on several committees in real life and on a local town council.

I've been playing games since I was little on my brothers Atari and my Nintendo, like most people playing TC I'm sure.

Tell us a bit about yourself

I am a 32 year old male living in the US. I am self employed. (main reason I can spend so much time on TC) My hobbies are Gaming and Extreme Holiday decorating.

What is your general play style in Torn?

I spend most of my time training stats, unless my faction is warring. I also spend a lot of my time trying to make cash. So what ever type of play that is.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?

Its the kind of game that just keeps going. It updates and adapts adds in features and takes out features. I like the different competitions as well, I don't compete in all of them but I like that TC has them a lot.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)

Some have been good and others I was not a big fan of, but I learned to deal with them just like everyone who stays and plays does.

Do you meet all of the factors required?
I don't fulfill all the factors, but I believe I have done more in my game play to qualify for consideration for a post in the committee. I have been active since day 1 in the game and that tells alot after 5 years of playing this game.
I am committed to using IRC whenever I want to chain or have a group discussion. But with chats implemented these activities are somehow limited to faction chains and drug price checking.
When I feel there is an urgent need to clarify issues or voice my opinion, I will not hesitate to put them up in GD forum. Companies and Stocks have always been my liking, and have voiced out more than a few things about these updates in the past.
Sorry I am not a subscriber, as I have accumulated alot of Donator days prior.

What is your in-game age?
Age: 1,944

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?
I feel with my calculative and methodical approach to all the updates, I can help with discussions to how a big portion of serious players in TC will react to huge updates. The players that care for the updates are the same players that spend alot of time thinking and putting effort into making it beneficial to them - and that is me - HarryWho. Generally I don't complain much, but always put myself in Ched's shoes as to why he does certain things. I can't say that I will solve all his problems but can certainly give a intellectual perspective to his changes.

Tell us a bit about yourself
Indeed if you were to check my profile which list down all the activities I have done in my own company, since the very first day of company update - you will know that I am very keen in seeing the success of TC. In part I am doing what Ched is doing for the whole TC population, just merely on a smaller scale. Putting up games, to keep new and old players coming back to TC and taking care of their interest in the game. Please check my company recruitment thread below to see feedback from past and present employees to how concern I am about TC.

In fact, I don't think I made much from the oil rig, but seeing employees keep logging daily makes my day - and they are rewarded handsomely.

What is your general play style in Torn?
I tend to mind my activities, and try to avoid conflict in forums whenever necessary. The updates, my company, and faction are what is keeping me coming back. They give me an avenue to take my mind off life difficulties and think about something else. After 2000 days, Torn City has become my hobby if you were to simplify it.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?
Yes... it is the companies. When it came out it was the best thing cause it is like a faction without the warring. The job specials, trying to rank up, figuring out what is best, all made my day even till now. I kept daily records/stats of all things companies to allow me to tabulate things for 2 years, and the experience was crucial to my success in bringing up companies. But to my dismay - till today Ched hasn't put top priority to upgrading Companies as I believe this update can be the mainstay for alot of serious players in TC.

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)
Like been pointed out above I put myself in Ched's shoes, and feel why he needs to take certain unpopular decisions . I am neutral to all things in TC, and try to make do with them - I take it as a form of challenge and keep my game play lively. However I went hysterical when told about the NPC buy-back in the stock market by the retired-Sifonjer - and went cursing Ched for a few days. It was ridiculous to throw billions upon billions to a select few of players with knowledge about it. Over night, their popularity/wealth/stats gain not 10 fold, not 100 fold, not 1000 fold.. but millions over. Along with it their motivation to continue playing subsided. That was what made me mad. I may not have all the data to support or against certain updates, but I can offer long term possibilities to them by thinking 2 steps ahead of other casual players.

Lastly, thank you for your consideration and hope to receive a favourable reply.

Do you meet all of the factors required?

well, mostly, except for my recent very low game activity, as I've been having problems changing work, but hopefully that won't last another 2 more weeks

What is your in-game age?

2088 days at the moment, more than 5 and half years

Why do you think you'd be a good member of the player committee?

most of all, because I can bring good arguments and reasoning to my opinions, also based on passed game experience and interaction with other players. I've been here for a long time, and this feels as a good occasion to actually contribute to the city.

Tell us a bit about yourself

I'm a 24 year old programmer, biased towards algorithmics and optimisation.

What is your general play style in Torn?

mostly casual, and trying to bring my faction together to war and chain.

What is your favourite part of Torn, why do you play it?

warring and chaining in general - most battles I took with my faction were hectic and passionate, and we'd stay up late hours discussing all sorts of strategies, although lately we've all had r/l problems, and so didn't get the time to fully enjoy battles

Generally, are you for or against updates and changes that have been made in the past? (To help us pick a mixed range of people)

I'm usually for updates, as long as they're well thought. Of course, I've been against some updates in the city, and this is one reason I'm applying here, to get a chance to say my opinion and suggestions.

sorry if my application is too brief and formal, I've beem writing too many job applications lately.
