I used to do full body workouts 5 times a week back when I was in school and didn't know any better..

Who recommended that you do 3 FBW's a week? o.O

75 kilos.. how much do you have to weigh in order to get in with the heavier rowers? Like, what are the weight classes? (I know nothing about rowing).

I can't remember how long ago it was but I used to be roughly 80 kilos, I'm now up to about 90/92kg's. My goal thus far is to get to around about 15 stone (96Kg's).

The one's within my age weigh about 80-90 kilos usually.

@Regret The coaches dictate the training regime. Considering the achievements some of the competitors have done, there is no denying that they have a clue as to what they are doing. One of the guys who follows the same gym-regimen as we do is also on the german national team. Altough he does do a lot more extra rowing sessions.

Here's the gym routine, I've probably forgotten one or two minor points, but that should do. Also beware of translations. The original routine is in german, and the exercises have a completely different name in english.

Warmup:
5' Ergo
1 min Rope jumping *3
15 Jumping jacks *3
10 push-ups on gymnastic ball *2

Main part:
Convert, pretty much this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=RLpVvBljjGw
Stand-up rowing, pretty much like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1gvKIoyxb9o
"Anreisen", which is somewhate similar to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tHPzOrOB_fI
Benchpress
Squats (obviously with the barbell)
Deadlift

Cool down:
Side support 3* Either side, 30'
Upper body lift or weighted Sit-ups 3*30
Hand-clapping 3*30
Squats on a gymnastic ball 2*10
5-10' Cool-down on the rowing machine.

Great value and exactly the same stuff as all the most expensive marketed stuff, been through a few 5kg bags of it myself.

You get what you pay for. Most supplements are expensive. I'm not saying generic whey protein isn't good, it's just not as good. For example, one thing i really like about the gold standard whey is it has high amounts of isolates so it's great for post workout. It also tastes surprisingly good. It's been voted the best protein like 9 yrs in a row or something. I'm no expert on how things are voted for, but they are legit competitions.

good more in depth review if you're interested. www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ySC4I6B6qw

again if you're not spending much on protein, or it's just too good to be true cheap, you really have to question the quality. I've always believed you get what you pay for in most in most situations.
