I am coming to the end of my PhD Pharma Whey protein supplement. I feel it has worked well and the gains are fairly noticeable.
I was wondering if there are any other effective protein supplements out there, as my current supplement is fairly expensive (47)

Questions:
What supplements are you taking?
Are they any good?
How much did you pay for them, and where from?

Thank you for your help

Eat well and exercise, your body will develop and grow at it's own pace. Don't fill your body with this shit and force it.

What? supplements are fine.. they are just protein. My dad and his other martial arts people have been taking them for years , I mean years, and they are fine and more healthy than probably 80-90% of the population ( not hard really ) , Your confused with steriods.

People are under the illusion its easy to gain with shakes, its not, you have to train the same with or without them.

LOL wtf. BRB don't fill your body with protein because it's 'shit' lol.
Why are you even giving any sort of advice? You obviously do not exercise and if you do, maybe try some protein in your diet, because you have 0 muscle mass ha

To all the idiots saying don't take them they're shit, you know nothing.

Take multi vits, BCAA tablets, creatine tabs and protein shakes.

Multi vits - have all the vitamins you need daily.
BCAA - Basically they absorb more protein and put it to better use blah
Creatine - pumps
Protein - recover + gain.

Blah!

the shakes I take in the pack it contains - Equivalent

100 chickens
100 eggs
100 fish ( no idea what )
100 beef
and loads of other meat things

Thats all in a bottle of protein powder. ( whole thing )
So thats 15 for all of that, or 15 for 2 chickens and you wont get as much? and is more filling so you cannot eat again. With powder you can have chicken + shake.

Wake up in the middle of the night put on a baalicava
Drive down to the farm grab some chicken and depending on you strength get a cow aswell drive home and youll have enough protein for a month

Total cost a fee pound for cost of petrol

Simple.

But unless you're planning on some heavy exercise, 2 chickens is more than enough. For the vast majority of people, protein supplements are unnecessary.

And I don't know what your exercise regime is, but I think it's safe to assume that the protein content of that is rather superfluous.

Lmao what f**king protein powder do you buy.
Rough estimates:
100 chickens = over 12,000g of protein
100 eggs = 800g of protein
100 fish = 4,000g of protein
100 beef (lets assume 100 portions of 100g beef) = 3,500g of protein.

So you're saying you get 20kg, so pretty much 25kg of protein powder for 15...
Are you thick? lol

Peace

Aborted fetuses. Check with your local hospitals and the dumpsters in a two mile radius. Fairly cheap. Not sure if easy to acquire. Again check with your local regulatory authorities.

The protein I've got has 80g of protein per 100g scoop. So I would love to know the name of the supplement you take, as it sounds like it contains more.

I'm also looking for a supplement that contains less than 6.40g of fat per 100g, as I am currently cutting.

Also to the comments that suggest supplements are not needed. I agree, to an extent that they are not needed if your diet supplies enough protein, carbs and fat for your type of training; however as stated earlier, these are supplements and not steroids so they do not cause any physical damage.

15?
The link says it's 36.
Also, it only contains 30 servings; it would only last half a month. That's too much to pay.

Impact whey or whey isolate from myprotien is awsome! And at under 20 its pretty good, but buy from the website! And to all those who say a normal diet will cut it it will only cut it if you want to stay "normal". Some people need extra as they do alot more , kinda like a lorry needs more petrol than a car because its carrying more.

I've looked and cannot seem to find any for 20. Unless they only contain 10-15 servings. Which is no good as it would only last a fortnight.

First of all Maximuscle is not 15. Or at least Iv'e NEVER seen it priced that low. You can get special offers if your a regular customer and all that shit but 15 really?

Secondly it's recommended that you consume 3 shakes a day not the 1. (One in the morning, one prior to your workout and one before bed). But then again I suppose it depends on what you want to achieve so that varies from person to person. But yeah that's what it recommends therefore there is no way that it would last 15 days. My mate goes through a tub that size in a week. I myself don't use Maximuscle. It's too expensive for the amount that you get.

I'm currently using some shit Anabolic Matrix protein shake that I got given by a friend of mine because he scratched my Skyrim disc It's not very good but it's better than nothing. I think before that I was using, USN Protein shakes.. again not entirely sure if that brand is very good, but it worked for me.

No trust me go to myprotien.com , Its a well known brand and you can get a decent amount for around 20,And they have a huge variaty of flavours aswell ( although i recommend unflavoured as it has more protien in it ) But seriously check out the website, look for impact whey!

Edit just checked andfor 1kg of the unflavoured is 12.99 And for 2.5kg it is 26.65!

www.bodybuilding.com - go to the store section there and it has user reviews of all different kinds of protein powders... i personally use Dymatize ISO-100, low fat, low carbs, 24g of protein... if you just want pure protein - u dont care about carbs and whatnot i recommend:

Optimum Gold Standard 100% Whey or
MusclePharm Combat Powder

i used to take gold standard - worked wonders til i got hurt and stopped working out. The MusclePharm stuff is good, i know a few people who take it and have gotten good results.
