Well regardless of the Presidential/Senate/House elections, MA passed laws allowing medicinal marijuana use and Colorado became the first state to outright legalize the use, sale and regulation of recreational marijuana. |
4:20 brah.
Im interested to see how this all works out, seems kind of unreal at the moment. I might have to stay in Colorado for a couple more years...
|
| The federal government has made it clear they oppose legalizing marijuana. As Obama drug czar Gil Kerlikowske said, “Legalization isn’t in the president’s vocabulary.” The Administration has also clearly stated in correspondence to state officials that regardless of state policies, the federal government “remains firmly committed to enforcing the (Controlled Substances Act).” |

Would anyone be surprised if I said that 96% of black people voted for Obama???? Nope
Would anyone be surprised if I said that 90% of white people voted for Romney??? Yep, and it would be called racist.....

Considering what you said has NO basis in reality why should I humor those comments? You know the stats on this are free to everyone right? I hope this doesn't reflect your voting habits though it's probably safe to say it does. |
Last I checked Caucasians were still the majority in the US. Majority wins, doesn't it? If 90% of white people voted Romney wouldn't he have won?
|
Actually yes if 90% of white people voted for him he would have won. |

I said it played more of a part than it should have, yes. I will not deny that. Race played a HUGE part in this election.... prove me wrong for saying that.... |
Well it depends...If you were to say it was due to race because of the Republicans disenfranchisement of latinos, then you would be correct.
If you were to say that it was because black people voted for the black guy, then you would be wrong.

I would have voted 3rd party if it was a REAL option. I'm just really surprised by the lack of reasons people have for being pro-romney. |
It is a real option. Your vote is your voice. I will not vote for the corrupt two parties who keep us in this mess any longer.
Don't make a mistake, the problem with this country isn't our president, it's our citizens. You are the people who keep us without choices.
By the way, I'd just like to point out to those of you who voted for Obama...you just re-elected the guy who signed the National Defense Authorization Act of 2012, which allows the indefinite detention of US citizens. Hope you didn't like that right. |
I understand that he did sign that. I do not agree with any part of that act. However, who is to say Romney wouldn't have done the same? Can you honestly say that he wouldn't have?
Also, voting for the 3rd party was NOT a real option. Please, tell me what would have happened if I had voted for a third party that was not available in every state. Would it have made a difference? No. Don't you dare tell me that people like me keep us without choices.
Regardless, my state always votes Democrat.

At least the next 4 years will be entertaining. I am primarily an observer, so even if the whole of the USA falls into anarchy and bombing itself, and all out war wasteland kinda stuff, I am just here to watch and learn.
Naive may be what some of you call me, stupid others, but at least I am not bond to idiots who claim they are fixing an economy that I could care less about. In the end as long as these guys aren't idiotic enough to come to me and say I must forfeit my arms, life, beliefs, and wealth (still working on that part), I won't have any complaints.
Now, let the show go on.

Yes I know. I lived in San Diego when the Federal government came in and shut down a bunch of medical marijuana places, the generally dont go after customers though. Mostly the large scale distributors. Im waiting to see how aggressive the federal government goes about this, it could be they just choose to ignore it entirely.

Well, the biggest difference with CO is the fact it's not for medicinal uses that need to be qualified... it's outright for recreation. I'm sure there has been fraudulent growing and distribution of marijuana in states where it's dispensed as medication, I mean come on now. But this is historic in the fact it is the first state to vote to 100% decriminalize and legalize it in every aspect, apart from what appears to be some restrictions of how much can be purchased at once and, of course, an age restriction. There's no doubt the Feds will get involved, but I think they'd be hard pressed to try and overturn this. That being said, I don't think it'd be wise to advertise selling pot in Colorado over the next couple months until this law gets officially put into law and somewhat sorted out

Blah, blah. The world isnt going to end, you are being a drama queen...
Back to your idiotic point. Black people voted for Obama because black people overwhelmingly vote for the Democratic party. Romney was however successful in changing a 9 point difference between Hispanic republican:democratic voters to a +40 point difference, in a year where they comprised 10%+ of the voting public for the first time in history.

The law was written by a former DEA something or other and has provisions about quality controls and regulations about all the stuff. It is pretty specific about everything which is probably why it had a better chance of passing. I know it talks about licencing and having facilities that test for harmful chemicals and for potency. Of course its going to have its problems, nothing is perfect.
I think the thing in limbo right now is how taxes is going to work, specifically the rates...

Nice point, but im not surprised.
Reminds me of 2008. Oprah Winfrey crying, Robert Deneiro & other stars on the campaign wagon.
The famous speech."Yes we can change America" 2 fine examples of change above.
Ah well, enjoy your Day Ted & sheeple. Hopefully your great great grandkids will enjoy the same freedoms we have today, If America isin't crippled to death from debt we're never going to be able to pay back, when there chance at life comes up.
Congrats indeed.

The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.

If you dislike Obama this much, then I propose a swap:
Obama and Biden for "Plastic" Dave Cameron and George "I'm rich!" Osbourne.
You'll be begging for Obama back within a month!
Like cheap petrol? Too bad.
Lots of armed forces? Not any more.
Got a young family? Too bad.
Elderly? Pfft, they're pretty much dead anyway, they don't need heat in the winter.
Social services: Gone.
Public services? LOL!
Police? Nope, just rent-a-cops who passed a 5 day course.
