I've asked a lot of the people at the store I work with who they would vote for and they always say dumb shit like "He seems like a trustworthy guy".....a politician trustworthy....LMAO but anyways when I ask why they usually have no answer

Whenever i ask black coworker why they vote for Obama they either don't openly admit or they mince words that essentially tell me they voted simply because he is black.

He didnt take away working requirements by the way, he actually requires more work if states want to change from the current system and there are more people on food stamps because we are in a recession dummy.

And yes, the government housing I lived was a shithole (relatively speaking for San Diego). It was a roach infested 300 square foot apartment with no refrigerator or stove/oven a few blocks from a homeless shelter (with a lovely tent city that went for several blocks) and it was not out of the ordinary to see people selling drugs on the street, but it was the only apartment I could afford that was within reasonable distance from school and it was 200$ a month cheaper than anything else I could find with or without a roommate since it also included all utilities. I wont pretend its the worst place in San Diego or as bad as other places around the country, but it certainly wasnt a great place to live. The large majority of people that lived there worked, many 2 jobs, and the large majority of those that didnt was because they couldnt due to the fact they were elderly and/or disabled. I was able to get out of that situation mostly because of Federal loans and state and federal grants. If it wasnt for those opportunities provided by the government I would have never gotten through school and probably would be stuck in barely above minimum wage jobs for the rest of my life "not paying taxes" (because I was under the poverty line), instead of now paying more taxes than you probably do. You really have no idea what the hell you are talking about.

Bottom line is there is an extremely large amount of abuse in the system and nothing is being done about it. If that doesn't piss you off too, then we have different issues. Personal responsibility has went down the drain and it doesn't look like it will make another appearance as long as our government offers everything free. Its like voting for Santa Claus.....
