Hahahaha, I managed to quote myself instead of editing.

Anyway, the only minor change was 'state school' not 'public school'.

I have to do some work, I'll respond later- this is quite fun.

I like it too, but likewise, I do have a real life work-day to attend to!
Public schools... let me say something positive. A very good place for those with more money than sense to have their wallets slightly unburdened.

And there are several points that I must clarify, and did not. The 5 minute-pressures, I regret to say. Je reviendrai.

I'm a bit confused by what you mean by 'Jacobin Egalitarianism', because I thought that would make all people equal, in some way, the exact opposite of what you are saying in regards to the monarchy. I don't believe we have egalitarianism now, because the power is still in the 'ruling classes'. I might be wrong, please explain that to me if you like.

We haven't got a republic, and on one hand, I describe what must be in what we have.

On the other hand, I describe the left-wing alternative that I consider a viable option:
a State which simply does not allow people to be different from the next, that high-handedly stamps out attempts to be different.

Within the Jacobin context, it is insufficient to merely say that you are equal, it requires the practise. This practise must be seen in the context of an uncompromising Majoritanism.

Either Order is maintained, one way or the other, or we can expect an endless repeat of tribal genocides. As has been the common fate of mankind. To cut a long story short, our curious distribution of maternal mitochondrial RNA tells the sorrowful story of a particular nasty past that is the racial genetic heritage of mankind. The rape-mechanism is a genetic survival-trait, an evolutionary adaption. We would not have survived as a race without it, we would have killed ourselves. As it was, out a genome-base that must have covered a few hundred thousands, we managed to whittle ourselves down to an unknown number of males and no more than 7 females capable of childbearing. ( possibly a tiddle more if there were identical twins, but how likely is that in so small a group? (

I must say I do not see the point of sending princes to State Schools. Too much interactiom breeds familiarity. What is 'mongo'?

What do you think is more important than living a happy life, by the way?

, Shiboun - detachment, fatalism, combined with effortless grace. A more refined version of Stoicism.
That is for the private sphere.

For the public sphere - relentless purpose. To avoid copying another set of ideograms, I shall use an European example, expressed in the Hymn of the Legions:

Poland has not yet perished,
So long as we still live.
What the alien force has taken from us,
We shall retrieve with a sabre.

March, march, Dbrowski,
From the Italian land to Poland.
Under your command
We shall rejoin the nation.

Finally, no discussion of justice or injustice could ever be deemed complt without some allusion to Natural Law, Universality, and most importantly, the problem of Self-Sampling Assumption.

Each observer-moment should reason as if it were randomly selected from the class of all observer-moments in its reference class

I Either a 'moral' proposition has been approved by a majority throughout time ( it is perfectly possible for the majority to be non compos mentis at a given moment i history ),
or
II the observer who makes a 'moral' proposition ( unsupported by I ) must conclude that his mind is unsound, that he is a dangerous lunatic.

The alternative would be to assume that the majority of people in the past were dangerous lunatics - which goes contrry to both Weak and Strong Antropic Principles. ( You observe what you see because of what you are and if you see something that goes contrary to majority-opinion throughout the ages it proves that your mind is unsound. ) A thing has always been right, and it has appeared so to any sensible observer throughout the ages.

It then follows that 'new' insights are not merely suspect, but GUILTY until proven innocent, which cannot be done by one who holds the new insight, because that person must LIKEWISE be assumed to be a nutcase.

It must be crystally clear that any 'reformer' who cannot appeal to the dead, immutable past, is criminally insane - and that reasoning made by such a person, no matter how logical it may seem, only proves his insanity again.

It follows therefrom that whoeverso openly supports a 'progressive' idea must be deemed immoral.
Of course, the same point can be made on etymoligcal grounds, since 'mos' the root of morality mean 'custom' - asserting itself as an Appeal to the Ages!

It then follows that possibility of 'moral progress' per se is a possibility that must be categorically REJECTED.

Agreed. Jimmy, you have no idea about wgat they are doing were I lived, if you seen it, you would be gobsmacked.

Please, tell us what they were doing your racist clown.

Again with the racist term, what now we are not allowed to criticise now? So whats the point of democracy if you continue to call anyone "racist" who mentions anything about religion or culture which they think is wrong? You left wingers are just using that term to scare people to stop them from thinking what they think, which is I belive is the same tactic that HITLER used in order to keep the masses quiet and to stop them standing up for the Jews. If you use that tactic to stop freedom of speech then your no better than a goddamn dictator. And what I am complaining about is that a huge population transfer has happened and its changed my city comepletly, I think its fine if only a few thousand came in but when people of a certain ethic group moves into a single city in huge numbers, it changes the culture of that area completly, making my culture feel inferior since I am the SOLE person who thinks arranged marriage is wrong in my collage. And whats worse is they dont INTERGRATE. My city have different areas, we have a indian section of the city, an african area, if thats intergration then I must be Donald f**king duck.

Wow. You really had to ask what was stupid about this? You're talking about freedom of speech while saying that people shouldn't be allowed to call you racist. You compare 'the left' calling people racist to Hitler's tactics (automatic loss in an argument, by the way, playing the 'you're as bad as Hitler' card). Also, if calling someone a racist is a ploy to stop them from thinking something, what is comparing someone to Hitler? You don't seem to understand that countries were made and developed by many different people, it enriches the culture. You think that people having their own little communities equates to 'none of them intergrating' (while infact, many of them probably are but not with bigots (that's a good word for people who don't like people from a whole religion, by the way)). Your spelling and grammar is awful.

I can't believe it's 2013 and people still need the whole 'everyone is an individual' thing explained to them. Just because they believe in a religion or come from a country doesn't mean they are the same as other people you have met who believe in said religion or come from said country.

"We need to confront Islam" = "We need to confront a religion with a huge spectrum of people from fundamentalists to people comparable to the most slack Christians you can think of"

Are you the same as the queen of England or her dickhead husband?

Also, I hope- if you treasure British culture so, that you partake in morris dancing and listen to folk music. I'm serious. That is our tradition and it's wanky (well, I quite like folk music).

Sorry if this sounds harsh, you certainly have a right to say what you think but we have the right to point out that it sounds bigoted.

OT: I believe in equality and think it's a crying shame that it is an ideology reserved for Utopia. I chose left wing because that is what I was taught my beliefs are but it all depends on where you are on the scale while looking at it. My friends call me a hippy.

Its alright good sir, you have a right to an opinion and I shall ponder on your given criticism.

No, no, stalinism is like a hardcore example, but please remember that what you are intereted in now is in fact a way to communism (of course in a long run) note, that stalinism was also just a step toward communism (cause no matter what some might say, the theoretical communism was never achieved, never will be achieved)
The socialism as an idea is decent and nice, I do have respect for them (well Im a former socialist too, with some really hard to get rid of ideas about society and the role of individum in it ) but you need to remember to always look from a distance toward it. Socialism is in fact making people equal, but it means lowering the standards (to achieve an average you cant say "hey 99% people should do "x" " to achieve equity, but you will say "ok we already have equity, this 1% is just above the norm" ) [might be not a really good example, but I hope you get what I mean ]

Anyway- what I recomend to read for those who start they way as socialists is "The Road to Serfdom" by von Hayek

May love and wine their rights maintain,
And their united pleasures reign.
While Bacchus` treasure crowns the board,
We`ll sing the joy that both afford.
And they that won`t with us comply,
Down among the dead men, down among the dead men,
Down, down, down, down;
Down among the dead men let them lie!

New Labour, for the record, are right-wing and very authoritarian.

If you'd like more information about the UK's political parties, check out Political Compass.org.

I used to be very, very left-wing at Uni but getting a job in a corporation has dwindled that somewhat. Obviously I'm still a lefty, but you begin to realise that some socialist policies/ideas can't really be plausible.

moderate conservative - but i would align myself closer to right wing. im more socially liberal and fiscally conservative, but im mixed on my views - for examples - no problems with homosexuals, let em get married, abortion - first couple months cool with me - anything past that it's morally wrong, weed - would give most states 6-10mill+ revenue a year i think, i think it gave colorado 6million last year, imagine a state like new york? Now as for things like immigration, "gun control", limited government, low taxes, death penalty, affirmative action, the free market system, charter schools, health care, oppose long term welfare - everything i just mentioned im on the right wing side of it. Also a huge thing that pisses me off about this country, was how they took the pledge of allegiance out of school because of the "under god" - absolute BULLSHIT. The god damn country is like 75% christian... at least. Some how i hear some schools are allowing muslims to pray in school - if that's cool what's wrong with the pledge of allegiance? I fear the direction this country is going in.

ICB my friend, this nation has been broken a LONG time. People have different beliefs. They included "under God" since 1954. It wasn't always there.

I'm a critical thinker. Neither side has the answer for everything, and riding the fence on issues is the height of laziness. I have opinions on nearly every political issue, and I find myself aligning with other people more than I do any politicians.

It's actually quite surprising that so many in this country believe wholeheartedly that they are one or the other when in reality most of us agree on a great deal of issues. It is a false dilemma if you ask me.

A fair few of the founding fathers were deists. Meaning that they accepted the principle that it is impossible to know the facts/realities of the origins of the universe, and as was already pointed out the word "god" was introduced later on money and in song.

they took the pledge of allegiance out of school because of the "under god"

A spastic "PC gone mad" representative. Who gives a f**k why they took it out -- you should be glad it's gone. You were forced to pledge fealty to the place you were born. Talk about indoctrination in a "free" country...

Some people are proud of where they are from... and every time i say the pledge or i hear the national anthem - to me, it is to honor those who fought for our freedom and won it for us. I've already seen based on your comments in the past what kind of person you are. It's a shame too.

That's the very definition of indoctrination. Nice to see it working so well, guess...right?

You're completely f**kin retarded... just don't speak anymore... i feel like my IQ drops every time i read one of your posts. so just save us all the torment and stop.
