I'm not sure what it is, but Green Bay and Dallas fans seem to think anyone gives a damn about whether or not they are "the most popular team." |
i know people dont, but at least when people start hating on cowboys i have something i can say....(since the Superbowl argument is getting a little out of date)

In fact, the longer ago your last appearance was just gives all the more support to use it. And again, that "study" said it has reached 300,000+ fans since 1994 I think? Yeah, that is sure a very accurate study... so 8% of the 10,000 people who decide to respond to the questions every year say they "like the Cowboys the mostest!"
Whatever it takes to hang your hat on something, I guess.

once again, i think you misunderstood my comment. When i said the Superbowl argument is getting i old, i was talking about cowboy fans saying things such as "who has more rings" "we got 5 how many do you have?" crap like that.
So, yes that argument is getting old.

indeed, i agree with what you said...but then again, reading/watching was JJ has said as of late it looks as if in a couple years (3-5 years) our luck will change. (he is saying HIS window to win another SB is closing, which means there is some kind of thought of getting out...i hope and pray at least)

I'm just excited as hell for this next season. I really see the Pats in a window right now to make a few Super Bowl appearances over these next 2-3 seasons, and hopefully walk away with AT LEAST one more ring. Our offense could be scary good this year, like 07, and we at least addressed defense with some high picks and hopefully guys like McCourty can bounce back to his rookie year where he led the league in picks and earned a Pro-Bowl spot.

I think the Pats have a much greater chance at repeating as Conference Champs than the Giants do. Not because the Giants suck, I think they will be a very good team this season, but because the NFC is just too competitive. Between the Giants, Lions, Packers, and possibly 49ers and the Eagles, I can't see the Giants coming out of their conference again. The AFC, on the other hand, is extremely weak this season, as the only teams that may actually have a shot at the Super Bowl are the Pats and Texans. I honestly can't see another team making much noise, unless it's just a shocking upset or critical injury somewhere along the line. I think the road to the Super Bowl goes through NE again.

Absolutely. In fact, I think they will even take the division. They may get to a Super Bowl, but the NFC is packed with a log jam of serious contenders. That's their biggest problem.

The Lions will have to learn to keep their heads more, indiscipline is what lets them down. With the stand-in officials though they may get away with more while Ed Hochuli is down the gym 24/7 while on strike
Anyway roll on Sept. England to Lambeau for the Pack v $aints. Can't wait.

Can't wait for the season to start, I'm actually giving the Lions a legit chance, at least there only arrests have been minor players, such as last years rookies, who barely played anyways, and Aaron Berry who they released, I like that.. time to get rid of the nonsense and focus on kicking some ass.
Our WR corps. are actually quite scary, Calvin Johnson, Titus Young, Nate Burleson.. and Ryan Broyles should play sometime this season... plus someone of the others I don't feel like naming 
Riley Reiff should be a HUGE addition to our O-Line, which while it's not to bad, isn't the greatest..
Plus our defense should be improved with the corners and LBs we picked up in the draft..

I think the Lions have a pretty good chance. For some reason, maybe just gut instinct, I think Green Bay is going to have a disappointing season, maybe in part because the Lions might beat them twice. I wouldn't say your WR set is scary; Johnson and Young are good (mostly Johnson there though), but your TEs could also play a role, so your offense in general is pretty good... but that's assuming Stafford stays healthy again. Needless to say, without Stafford the Lions are a 5-6 win team. But yeah, I have the Lions with a good year as well.
Almost time to get the pre-season predictions ready! What a wonderful time of the year it's about to be!

i think RG3 has a better year.
49ers are going to have best record in nfl but wont win super bowl. the reason i say that is because they aquired randy moss in the offseason and the last time randy went to a super bowl caliber team he had an amazing year, if he isnt on a good team he doesnt play as hard. they have the most talented offense in NFl along with the top rated defense.
Im a minnesota vikings fan and i thought we had an excellent draft but dont see us making playoffs for another 3+ years

I wouldn't say they have the most talented offense in the NFL... there are a few teams who have better offenses, by far. They have some good players, and will definitely have a better one than they did last year, but last year they weren't a great offensive team either you know. Maybe they could be in the top 10, but I would absolutely not call them the best offensive team there is.
And Girffin will have to have one hell of a year to do better than Newton. I really don't think some people here understand just how good he was. 4,700 yards, 35 TDs, 60 CMP%.... someone has a better year than that and they probably win MVP.

yea i agree, rg3 will have an alright year but no where near newton.
and the 49ers receiving core is going to help them out so much more man, randy moss, vernon davis, micheal crabtree, mario manningham. thats going to help out alex smith a whole lot more, not that he needed it. he threw less than like 7 interceptions last year or something like that. then their running game is going to be just as good if not better because of who they aquired at the receiving core

Not that Smith needed it? The 49ers won games last season because of their defense, or DESPITE having Smith under center. Sure he had a good CMP% but only threw for 3,100 YDs and 17 TDs... and this came in a year where 4,000 yards was pretty much the standard for a good QB. He has better targets now than last year, although Crabtree and Davis were still there, but I don't suddenly expect him to become a great QB. He's serviceable and that's all they need with that defense.

im not saying this is going to make him great, im saying that the 49ers just added more weapons and making them more dangerous. alex smith will have a better year because opposing defensing will have so many people to worry about. gameplanning against the 9ers in gonna be difficult. i think they are all around best team and they are my super bowl pick
