give him some real weapons and he could have an awesome year, but i dont see any on their roster at the moment and dont see any big name WR/TE looking to leave their team at this moment.
Are you refering to Luck or Griffin?
sorry, i was talking about Luck.
Luck has Reggie Wayne
an over the hill WR....woohoo?
He's still a "real weapon"
in this day and age no he isnt, He is more of a back up compared to many of the WR's out there now.
I'm going back to this because out made me LOL after watching Reggie's performance against the Bears! If you didn't watch the game, I suggest you find his highlights somewhere before doubting him again...
Lol, so your saying he is good because of a game.....guess olgatree or however your spell his name is a future hall of famer aint he...
No, dumbass, he's good because he's had 850+ career receptions, 12,000 receiving yards, and 75 career touchdowns... Kevin Ogletree: 8 catches for 114 yards... Reggie Wayne: 9 catches for 135 yards... With the catches he made, he didn't look like "an over the hill receiver" that's not a "real weapon" or a "backup compared to many of the WRs out there now"... Calvin Johnson Jr.: 6 catches for 111 yards...
i never said he wasnt ever good, back in his prime with manning he was. But this year this time he is just a back up, thats it. Telling me his career stats doesnt say a damn thing about here and now, it tells me how he used to play. Sorry if you dont understand how somebody can be good in their prime but be average or worse now. But take a look at marion barber, TO, Chad Johnson and you will get a good picture of what im trying to say.
there's right and there's wrong, you gotta do one or the other If you do the one and your living you do the other you might be walking around but your dead as a beaver hat

Hmmm, and I thought it was Rapistberger, with an E.
I know, I know... he was only accused (twice) and never convicted. Whatever!
my thoughts exactly.
I know this is bad, but I'm overlooking this week's Patriots game against the Cardinals, and I'm really anticipating Baltimore in Week 3.
Also, anyone else leaning big towards the CHI/GB game? The spread is -6.5 for GB, but the Packers are coming off a big loss, Jay Cutler and Brandon Marshall are publicly daring the Packers defense to try and stop them, it's at Lameau Field, and it's a prime time game. I think this all spells "statement game" for the Packers, especially because I really don't think Chicago is that good to begin with.....either way, I'm leaning that way. Any other opinions?
And ohhh uhhh... anyone see who's atop the NFL Power Rankings this week?

I would take the Packers at Lambeau Field any day, against anybody... and giving them 6.5 points... please. Take that bet every time.
Didn't do bad for my Week 1 straight up predictions! 11-5 on the Week... unfortunately I didn't do so well picking the spread Anyways.... WEEK 2 PREDICTIONS ARE IN!!

Bold does take a while if you type it all out, so I just copy/past [/b] so all I have to worry about is doing the initial tags
I think the BAL/PHI game will determine what both of those teams are made of for this year. I am not sold on Baltimore being legit, as they're defense is old, Reed hurt himself during an INT return, and I wouldn't be so excited about blowing out the Bengals in the first place. The Eagles barely won their game over a supposedly inferior opponent, so let's see. Kind of time for each of those two teams to put up or shut up... because Baltimore has done an awful lotta talking the past few years about being "the best" and saying they still feel like the better team after they get beaten, so let's see if they have it in them to start winning games or if they are going to be another 3, 4, 5, 6 seed and lose in the playoffs. And Philly.. well... we all know their story. This game could really go either way, and may be worth throwing some money on whoever the underdog is in the bookie
Let that CHI/GB game be a lesson to all that bought into the hype of a mediocre team putting up big offensive numbers in Week 1... yeah, I'm talking about the people handing "Super Bowl Champion" titles to Baltimore, Denver, the Jets and formerly the Bears. That whole notion lasted really long, huh? What do we all think of Chicago and Cutler now? I wonder if people will tap the brakes for Flacco and Sanchez at this point.

Left out the Chicago/Green Bay game since I was late, I think Carolina and Detroit should be able to pull of the upset, if Dallas, NYJ and Washington can win again this week, then I'll take them seriously, I mean I knew RGIII would be good, but I didn't know he was beat the Saints good.. I also think if Atlanta can keep that no huddle going, that they can beat Denver, Dallas should be able to beat Seattle, and I'm sure the Jets get humbled this week.

Never gave my reason for Detroit pulling off the upset lol.
I think Detroit's D-Line should be able to shut down the run, forcing Alex Smith to throw, where despite last weeks performance, he's not that good. That will basically turn it into a shoot out, cause I doubt Kevin Smith rushes for more than 20-25 yards. Just think about it, Detroit D is better than GBs, and their offense is just as good as GBs. Regardless of the outcome of this game, it's not gonna be a blowout.
Lions 28 - 24 SF

I know you're a Detroit fan, but let's stop calling it an "upset" when Detroit wins. By the spread, sure it's an upset, but the Lions are a good team. They SHOULD get to the Super Bowl this year if they can stay healthy and play like they did last season. I think GB, DET, and SF are the top 3 teams in the NL and the difference between them is marginal at best in most cases, and usually is made up for in other areas of each team's game.
rough start for dallas, hopefully they can turn it around.

Screw it, I'm going there...Detroit is San Francisco's bitch.

JAX @ IND NYJ @ MIA SF @ MIN
KC @ NO DET @ TEN
CIN @ WAS PHI @ ARI ATL @ SD HOU @ DEN
PIT @ OAK NE @ BAL --- Game of the Week! Bounce back statement game for Pats? GB @ SEA
STL @ CHI BUF @ CLE - may be a close one
TB @ DAL
JAX @ IND NYJ @ MIA - tannehill is gunna get harassed SF @ MIN
KC @ NO DET @ TEN - could be a close game, stafford has been playing like shit
CIN @ WAS PHI @ ARI ATL @ SD - another good game HOU @ DEN - maybe a good game depending on if manning shows up to play. PIT @ OAK
NE @ BALT - i like balt at home, and they have been on fire. GB @ SEA
I think there are some question marks with your predictions... Tannehill may get harassed, but is Sanchez above getting harassed? Also, Detroit will absolutely not play a close game with Tennessee... I just can't see that, and I think you're getting too caught up in the 2 Week's worth of stats if you're getting nervous about Detroit beating the Titans. Also, what Baltimore team has been on fire? far as I can see they are 1-1 just like the Pats and Flacco had a pretty mediocre game in Week 2.

I said upset, because, at this moment in time, SF is 'the' team to beat, as well as the Texans in the AFC.

looks like "the dallas" has 2 more wins before they have a catastrophic meltdown and lose somewhere between 6-12 games in a row....seems very likely i guess.......long as you ask bosox that is.

Sounds about right. If history is any indication Romo will start fubmling/break his finger/arm any day now.
The 'Skins suck again this year now that their defense has be struck by the injury bug. Their offense is one player (RGIII), and Kyle Shanahan calls games like a 12 year old playing Madden 13 (one more reason why it is never a good idea to hire family). Season is over for me to be honest. I am not young enough to waste anymore beautiful Sundays sitting on my ass watching RGIII get smeared, and waiting for his inevitable season ending injury.
You guys enjoy the season. I am heading outside, lol.
@bosox, don't worry dude, your NE Pat's should pull things together, as they have a real Head Coach running things.

One that can keep his hands off the sexy replacement refs.
I like the skins I just don't like how Mike constantly changes his RBs, it makes fantasy football very interesting to say the least.
RG3 scares me when he runs, hes going to end up like Vick, a terrified turnover machine.
"The Dallas" will still end up with a shitty season. I am not sold on them at all yet. you're about to hit a very hard part of your schedule, watch and see.
On the other hand, I am actually somewhat concerned with the Pats. I'm not ready to have sky is falling panic mode, but it is reasonable to think this team will still end up with 12-13 wins, but will not be that good. Unfortunately/fortunately, however you look at it, the schedule gets very easy now for a very long time., so we wont get tested really until we play Houston and SF back to back weeks in December. So even if we start getting hot and running off an 8, 9, 1 game win streak, I'm not sure it will mean anything. The defense looked great in the first two games but it's back to looking questionable... and I know it's lame to say this but I really think the refs kind of screwed the Pats yesterday. Now, the Ravens got called for a few bad penalties as well, but they were mostly inconsequential, such as on a first down. The Pats were getting killed with calls on 2nd and long where the play was over and would have resulted in either a sack or incomplete pass to put the Ravens in a 3rd and 14 and 3rd and 22 late in the game, but instead handed them first down on phantom holding and interference calls. But the offense in general is making me worried, we just look predictable.. and we seem to be FORCING Woodhead and Edleman for our passing and run game... for some reason beyond me. And Brady seems to avoid going deep to Lloyd or targeting him in the endzone.
I don't know. The Patriots I think actually do have some deep flaws that have gotten exposed here in this season. Luckily, the Pats are not very far away from fixing them, as all it will take is a little better defense from of either the front 7 or secondary, and a little better offensive decisions and we can be elite again... but RIGHT NOW, I think I may put the Pats out of the top 10 for elite teams in the league.
