This exactly what I don't like about a lot of Arsenal fans...

Before the game: Easy 5-0/4-0/3-0 for us.

Half time: Wenger out, the board out, [list of players here] out.

Full time: Great performances, everything is cool again.

7-1 made us look better then we really are but still nice to see us putting our chances away. Good to see Oxlade getting first team action and showing his worth, nice finishes

Van Persie out of contract in the summer, so I guess this will be the best year for a while

Yeah its next summer, its arsenal trying to get his contract renewed this summer, was getting confused. Looks like they will need to be paying him 250k a week at this rate to stop him going to Spain

Theo Walcott would love to get on the scoresheet more - but the forward knows he must excel in supplying chances for others.

The England international has already laid on 10 assists in the Premier League alone this season, proving particularly fruitful in Robin van Persies prolific year.

And the 22-year-old is happy to continue providing the ammunition if it means the points go Arsenals way.

One of my main jobs as a winger is to get assists, said Walcott. The goals are a secondary thing.

Some of them against Blackburn were just tap-ins so it was like a goal really. I hope it made Robin's job easy.

Arsenal ended a run of four league matches without victory with Saturdays emphatic 7-1 victory over Blackburn at Emirates Stadium.

Walcott admits he has been as frustrated as anybody else over this period and believes the players are the only ones who can improve fortunes.

There are so many world-class players in the dressing room, so it is disappointing when we come back from Bolton with a 0-0 draw where we had a lot of chances, he said.

It's just been one of those frustrating seasons. Hopefully a lot of those frustrations came out against Blackburn where everybody stood up for themselves.

The boss always takes a lot of stick from everyone criticising him but us players need to look up to him because he's been taking it all.

We are the ones who go out there and put out the performances and sometimes they haven't been good enough.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain may be making waves in the Premier League right now but he is simply relishing the chance to learn from his team-mates.

The 18-year-old has earned a host of plaudits in recent weeks following some eye-catching displays, and he scored his first top-flight goals in the 7-1 defeat of Blackburn on Saturday.

While Oxlade-Chamberlain is delighted to be playing alongside the likes of Robin van Persie and Thierry Henry, he admits he still has much to learn at this juncture of his career.

I'm one of the least experienced players in the squad so any player who gives me a comment always helps me, whether it is positive or constructive criticism, he said.

I listen to everybody. People like Thierry and Robin who score goals and are attacking players like myself, you can always learn a lot from them. That's all I do, I listen and learn.

I have belief in myself and in my own ability. I just know that I have to keep working hard and learn off the boys, and then hopefully the rest will come. At the moment it's going quite well for me so I'm just going to keep working hard.

A year ago Oxlade-Chamberlain was plying his trade with Southampton in League One, but now he is being tipped for a call up to the England squad for Euro 2012. So how has he handled the jump?

It's been a tough challenge but I knew when I signed that I had to work hard and take little bits from everyone around me, he said.

There's quality players at this club and a quality manager so you just have to learn from everyone. I've just tried to take it in my stride and keep developing my game.

[In terms of Euro 2012] I am just focusing on Arsenal at the moment and I'm also in the England Under-21 squad. All I can do is focus on what I am involved in.

Obviously it would be very nice [to play in the tournament] but I just have to keep my feet on the ground and take it step by step.

North London has a lot to thank the Southampton academy for, according to Theo Walcott.

The striker himself rose through the ranks with the south-coast outfit before being signed as a 16-year-old by Arsenal in 2006.

Walcott believes Alex Oxlade-Chamberlains emergence, together with the impressive form of Tottenhams Gareth Bale, is clear proof of their success in developing players.

Of course, Arsenal has played a massive role in bringing their duo up to Premier League standard but the England international believes he received a great grounding with the Saints.

Imagine if the whole team had stayed together, it would be fantastic, said the 22-year-old. It's just a sign that they do things right - they are such a great family club.

They look after their players and it shows, especially with how Gareth [Bale] is playing at this moment in time.

Southampton was a great start for me and the other boys but not just for us - there is also Nathan Dyer and Andrew Surman [at Swansea and Norwich]. I could keep on going with that list. It's just nice to see.

Oxlade-Chamberlain impressed in Saturdays 7-1 win over Blackburn as the youngster scored his first two Premier League goals against Steve Keans side.

The 18-year-old has produced fine form for both club and country since his summer move from Southampton and Walcott is confident the youngster will keep his first-team place if he continues to shine.

He's very direct and he likes to get at players, which is what any Arsenal fan likes to see, he said.

He has plenty of confidence and is young - he's a player who nobody in the Premier League has faced before so he's totally new to the game.

He's learning every day in training and you can see now that he is getting games, which is very important. I think with the way he is playing at the moment he will keep that position.

It was nice to see [us both playing well] and hopefully we can just continue to do it for Arsenal now. You never know what might happen with England.

We have plenty of pace in this England team now. It's not just Alex and me, its the likes of Stewart Downing and Ashley Young too - there's so many I don't want to leave anybody out.

There are plenty of options for the manager [Fabio Capello] so he's going to have a good headache I'm sure.

Arsne Wenger believes it will need exceptional consistency to claim a top-four finish but says the past week has offered genuine cause for optimism.

With Chelsea letting slip a three-goal lead against Manchester United and Arsenal beating Blackburn 7-1 over the weekend, the Gunners moved to within three points of Andre Villas-Boas side.

And with the season now moving towards its final stretch, Wenger is confident his side are back in form ahead of this weekends match at Sunderland.

We had a good week last week. We had a good result against Aston Villa and a good performance against Bolton, he said.

We had the same number of chances [at the Reebok] that we had against Blackburn but we scored on Saturday. We still have real hope that we can finish the season the strongest. We have a good spirit and desire within the group - and we have quality.

We know that with the position we are in we need an exceptional consistency, so that is the challenge we have in front of us at Sunderland.

Ok im a huge Arsenal Fan but wow have our standards dropped, I am a Arsene Wenger fan and never doubted the man but our tactics vs Milan and Villa was a disgrace!!

We pay the most money in the world to watch our team and for what? to see RVP do his job and others follow suit? Im fed up of seeing Theo Walcott named in our line up!!! 10 assits this season aint bad but lets not forget Arshavin was our top assit last year and he was still awful.

Theo has not improved only taken steps back he is a one trick pony and should be dropped.

Our defence has never been weaker, our club used to be called 1-0 Arsenal for a reason now its i would 8-2 be a gooner. and why???

Easy Arsene panic buyed with mertesacker and squilaci (or how you spell the n00bs name) and both had damaged reputations already in their leagues, Mertesacker hadnt been in Werder Bremens line up for a while until they sold him and same for squilaci at sevilla.

We have a good youngster in chamberlain but already their is way to much pressure on his shoulders and tbh im fed up. Arsenal needs to sell a whole bunch of players and sign playerswho are already known and experianced at the top, we will never win anything until that changes. Sad to say but Arsenes Young Guns project failed, and i blame the departures of Nasri and Clichy who we never expected to leave.
