Ok im a huge Arsenal Fan but wow have our standards dropped, I am a Arsene Wenger fan and never doubted the man but our tactics vs Milan and Villa was a disgrace!!

We pay the most money in the world to watch our team and for what? to see RVP do his job and others follow suit? Im fed up of seeing Theo Walcott named in our line up!!! 10 assits this season aint bad but lets not forget Arshavin was our top assit last year and he was still awful.

Theo has not improved only taken steps back he is a one trick pony and should be dropped.

Our defence has never been weaker, our club used to be called 1-0 Arsenal for a reason now its i would 8-2 be a gooner. and why???

Easy Arsene panic buyed with mertesacker and squilaci (or how you spell the n00bs name) and both had damaged reputations already in their leagues, Mertesacker hadnt been in Werder Bremens line up for a while until they sold him and same for squilaci at sevilla.

We have a good youngster in chamberlain but already their is way to much pressure on his shoulders and tbh im fed up. Arsenal needs to sell a whole bunch of players and sign playerswho are already known and experianced at the top, we will never win anything until that changes. Sad to say but Arsenes Young Guns project failed, and i blame the departures of Nasri and Clichy who we never expected to leave.

Yeah Arsene's been pretty hit or miss this season, the team he picked for Milan was a joke, could tell it was going to be awful from the start. To pick walcott over chamberlain was madness, fair enough chamberlain is young and its a lot of pressure but walcott is renowned for choking anyway.
Don't call for his head though, we won't get anyone better.
We need four or five good, established players.

I agree, Wenger will always be our man. However some experianced players is in need and those who are known for performing on the big stage. Walcott is awful he says he is out of position but every time he has played as a CF (vs QPR) he totally flopped and missed a sitter!!! He is our weakest midfeilder with Rosicky and Diaby. A new start is needed or Arsenal will be a Europa League team for years to come.

He was injured for a large part of the season and had his ankle rebuilt in the summer. Arsene does like buying injury prone players....

And when he was fit they didnt play in his last months in which he was injury free, hence the drop from the national team last year.

I was at the game and i got to say at 2 nil down we was silent... but when Sagna scored and then RVP we was the loudest ive ever heard. Best chant was "CAN U HEAR THE TOTTENHAM SING WE CANT HEAR A F*CKING THING!!!" Lol such a great day.

@Clarka--- Sagna was great and what a way to get revenge on spurs the team that broke his leg, by scoring the crucial first goal which opened the gate door wide open

put it this way then, if the league ended today we would still be in champions league, chelsea wouldn't ... But im sure with the games to go their will be some twists and turns and most probz a bumpy ride for all london clubs in their last 12 games or so.

I'm not sure about that. Youre both currently joint fourth. Same wins draws etc. Same goal difference too.
Then it comes down head to head from both teams..

"Obviously the Carling Cup final has really lifted spirits. The competition is derided in some quarters but it was a very special afternoon for everyone connected with the club. It had been six years since winning a trophy, but when you consider what they had been through in that time it makes it even sweeter. It was only 16 months ago that the club's future was decided in the High Court, and obviously there were the dark days of Roy Hodgson's reign when they were teetering above the relegation zone. To go from that to winning a trophy again was very special.

"Kenny Dalglish has varied his formation a lot - he has played 4-2-3-1 in a number of games and also 4-4-2, which is how he went about it in the Carling Cup final. It has been bit of a horses-for-courses scenario, so it is difficult to say which way he will go. There's no doubt Liverpool will go for it, and with seven points between the clubs it is a must-win game for them if they are serious about trying to get fourth place. They have drawn eight times at home in the league this season, and that has really dented their Champions League prospects so they will be desperate to ensure they don't drop any more points on Saturday.

"Martin Skrtl has probably been their consistently outstanding performer this season. He initially struggled to win over the fans but he is their most improved player this year. He was superb against Cardiff last weekend, and his partnership with Daniel Agger has been a real feature of Liverpool's success this season. They have kept Jamie Carragher out of the team, but Agger cracked a rib in the Carling Cup final so Liverpool will be forced to break up that partnership. There is also a major doubt over Steven Gerrard after he came off for England with a tight hamstring. If he doesn't make it, Jay Spearing could come in. He has done well whenever he has played so he is the obvious choice, although Jordan Henderson is an alternative option.

"I fancy there to be goals in this one, due to the fact Liverpool have to go for it and Arsenal have a real attacking prowess. I reckon Liverpool will sneak it 2-1."

"Liverpool have been inconsistent this season, both with their results and their style of play. I have seen them play with energy, cleverness and thrust on occasions but I have also seen them pass too slowly from the back and lack penetration. Key to their ability to open up defences is Luis Suarez because he has good movement and does unexpected things when in possession of the ball.

"Of the new signings I have been impressed by Charlie Adam. Not only is he a superb passer of the ball but his work rate and closing down has improved dramatically since his move to Anfield. Stewart Downing has had good games but hasn`t delivered enough balls of quality to endear him to the Anfield faithful."

After the jubilation of last week's victory in the North London derby, Arsenal will go into this game in great spirits. The only problem is that so will Liverpool, after winning the Carling Cup. Arsne Wenger's side have not lost at Anfield since April 2008, and they really need something from this match if they are to maintain their momentum. The likes of Theo Walcott and Tomas Rosicky - if he makes it - will be flying, while Thomas Vermaelen and Laurent Koscielny must continue from where they left off in the second half against Tottenham. Liverpool are unbeaten at Anfield this season, but were Arsenal to win on Saturday they would take a major step to knocking Kenny Dalglish's men out of the race for fourth place. It is a big task but they're up to it.

Not even the club's biggest critics could find fault in Sunday's comeback. To come back from 2-0 down at home to a Spurs side in their best form for many, many years was just brilliant. Not once during our glory period did they do that to us. So what happens now? Will Arsne think he has struck permanent gold with the unlikely Benayoun and Rosicky combination? I'd be surprised, though I could see him sticking with them for this fixture, one in which Rosicky actually enjoyed some success as a sub last season, in a 1-1 draw. Liverpool's recent cup success has been at the expense of their league form and a win at Anfield for us would probably mean another year without Champions League football for them. For us it is a must and so this is a big game

90 mins of regulation, with extra time added virtually every time, and scoring first is a death blow. Shame

We're 4-0 down from the first leg, which means if they scored first we'd have to score at least 6, as opposed to 4 if they don't score. So yes, pretty much a death blow. You should really stay out of the football threads since you clearly don't know what the craic is.
