Honestly, I hope Washington wins game 7. I'd prefer Boston over Washington any day if Dale Hunter wasn't head coach. But since he coached my hometown Knights, I'm rooting for him to have a successful NHL coaching career.
I'm still pissed about the Wings getting eliminated, but I'm not surprised after their lackluster performance in Game 5. Nashville really out played the Wings, and their forecheck killed them. Hopefully Kenny Holland will finally do something this summer and bring in a couple of big guys who can also grind it out. Fingers crossed that Parise or Suter hits FA and Kenny Holland will be aggressive in trying to sign them, but realistically, it's probably not happening.

Going all in tonight on the underdog Caps in BeanTown. Every game has been determined by one goal and each team has scored 14 goals in the series. Caps are 2-1 at Boston this series so home rink advantage doesn't matter. Regardless of who wins or not this has been the best 7 game series I have ever watched on the road to the Stanley Cup Finals. Hats off to both teams.

Well that sucks. I hope no one starts talking about Holtby and saying how he won the series though and he becomes another Tebow. Granted, he played much better than anyone could have thought... but it was the Caps defense that was just blocking every other shot we took. Although I can already tell the only thing the national media will be talking about will be Holtby.
I hope the Caps get smoked next round.

Really? I was going to be giving my support to Boston if the Caps lost tonight. Well it might not be another 40 years for the Bruins to hoist the Stanley Cup but it will at least be one more

Just kidding, Bosox. I watched like 10 minutes of the first period, and then I had to get off the TV so my wife could watch American Idol, lol. I didn't even know who won until my drive into work... and I really can't see the puck all the time, even on my 42 inch HD.
It will be funny if the Caps win it all this year... since they played like crap pretty much from what I heard about them, it would be typical that since the hype is gone they will win it all.
I don't really care much, but it would be nice for people around here to have something to cheer about.

Instead, we allowed them to dictate how we play, and let them bully us. We allowed them to screen Thomas, and we, for some reason, were unwilling or unable to get in front of Holtby. That's why I can't give the guy too much credit... the majority of the shots he faced were easy slap shots from 20 feet out without being screened at all. We didn't get very many quality chances... and so I hope the Rangers kill the Caps, just to show the Bruins that Washington really wasn't a good team.

2-1 Kings on top of the Blues. Stellar performances by Doughty and Brown forcing the Blues to stay in their own zone and burn time on one player. Kopitar and Quick also delivering some great plays.

do u believe the hol shanahan/refs conspiracy against the rangers? i heard it all year - especially after the reffing at the winter classic, but when the playoffs started it became apparent that the front office is out to f**k the rangers (more specifically torts), shanahan doesnt like him because of his personality or whatever reason. after the very inconsistent reffing and suspensions being handed down (which has not favored rangers at all) ... im wondering... could it really be true? if it is - mann the nhl has really gone to shit

The problem is, people don't ever want to see a game where one team gets 6 powerplays and the other gets 0 or 1, and people always want them to be fairly even, like 4-5 or 6-4. yea i get that - but i mean calling the same calls on one team but not calling them for the other - or at crucial moments of the game even with the replay and it seems so obvious for the call to go one way and it doesnt - it's scary. im the last person to complain about reffin but after the suspensions in the playoffs - the complete inconsistent suspensions made by the nhl front office - i dunno man - it seems like it's def going against the rangers... but i could just be paranoid

There's suspensions in the playoffs because certain teams (Flyers, Penguins, and Torres individually) don't know how to handle themselves, and can't distinguish between playing hard and tough and playing dirty. Plus with all the buzz about concussions, new studies going on about violence in sports, and now in light of Seau's suicide, there are going to be a lot more penalties/suspensions/fines handed out from here on out until something changes... don't ask me what thatc hange will be, but the game itself is going to change in some way or another, both NFL and NHL alike.
I've decided to cheer for the Devils from this point on.
