I'm trying to find a good speaker system that meets this criteria so if anyone has any good suggestions please share because i looked for hours and couldn't find anyhthing.

- Below $300
- No Blue Ray Player because I will use it for gaming and watching TV
- Has to be 5.1 or 7.1 channel surround sound with a subwoofer
- Having a remote is a plus since I'm a lazy ass
- Wireless speakers would be nice but I prefer wired speakers to prevent interference from other electronics and the occasional thunderstorm.
- No Soundbars

any good suggestions would be appreciated.

Logitech makes speakers more for computers and whenever you turn their stuff past 50% to 60% that is when the speakers start to have some crackling sounds during extended use.

and also in recent years I've never had good experiences with their products so I'm trying to avoid their stuff.

I was interested in this system but again I don't want any Blue Ray player or that "3D Smart" shit since I already have a computer or my PS3 for that kind of stuff.

If you can find a set of Logitech z-5500's somewhere I highly recommend them. Logitech stopped manufacturing them 2 years ago and started selling newer models, but a set of 5500's connected via an optical audio cable (not the normal 3.5mm jack everyone knows) to an audio source is probably my favorite sub $300-400 audio purchase ever. Best part is you get tons of people who are selling them for $100-200 since if you plug it in with just a green 3.5mm jack, the sound quality and the volume is about 1/10th of it's potential when you use optical audio.

Found a good Sony Home Theater system on Newegg that had $170 knocked off the original $400 price tag and it will arrive tomorrow.

$400 for a refurb system, and they arent even full sized speakers.

for what you were after, i would have looked into the Yamaha YHT series. around the same price, and at least you would have gotten a decent quality amp that would have lasted years to come.

or a real good quality 5.1 soundbar

Using your Samurai Sword you hit alchemy in the left shoulder for 64030 damage

Totally worth it.

soundbars are crap imo

as for what you mentioned I'm not looking for stuff that is good for parties but more for gaming in a small room where I don't have the space for a large speaker system.

so far though the system is amazing and I've got no complaints although the only negative point I can think of is that it only has 2 HDMI in ports but switching out cables for multiple game consoles is no big deal

creative? never heard of them

when it comes to sound I trust Sony because I've never had any problems with their products which is more than I can say for some other companies like Bose which overcharges too much for their stuff or RCA whose' products crap out after a year or so of light use.

when it comes to sound I'll always stick with Phillips or Sony since both companies have been making sound equipment of good quality for decades.

btw Creative hasn't been around that long and from reviews their stuff is hit or miss when it comes to reliability and sound quality so I wouldn't trust their stuff.
