I use firefox on my laptop and have done so for years! The latest firefox 24.0 is way faster than previous versions about twice as fast on my slow ancient laptop.

If you previously stopped using firefox because of speed issues give it another go!

I can't notice any difference.
Where's it faster for you? Flash videos?

I have mainly been playing browser games today and its way faster on every game! I just watched a music video and that is way faster as well.

My laptop is old and knackered though, if your computer is new you might not notice much difference.

I got my laptop in 2007 1 ghz ram 1.8ghz single core processor.

I've never thought i'd say this - but it seems faster than Chrome.

Chrome also has a tendency to annoy me on YouTube, it's awful at loading 1080p (And no, it's not my laptop)

sounds more like an issue regarding your computer because even if your internet is fast its still limited by your computer's processing ability thus if one browser uses more processing power than the other things will slow down.

nope.jpg

On Windows and most UNIX OS's I've used, typical CPU architecture dictates all processes being limited to maximum 50% CPU usage.

@OP, I've always used Firefox. It respects your freedom more than Chrome. Whereas Google has partnerships with NSA, hence more likelihood of hidden backdoors for security purposes and such.

You misunderstood me.

It awful at loading 1080p, as in:

Load the video, by standard it's at 360p. I pause it, or not, and click on 1080p. The gear symbol is spinning, and it most of the time needs 60+ seconds to change the res from 360p to 1080p.

Buffering is not an issue.
