well I could possible taking up the project of doing a custom build computer as it seem like the best option for a gaming computer and you guy probably know more about this then me and i do not want to be wasting money on incompatible parts and probably will know if i'm paying to much for a part or if that part is pure garbage
I assume that I can get a few parts in the computer shop down the road so that will save on P&P and I might be Able to get a Staff discount on a tower depending if my mate still works at currys
Graphics card http://www.amazon.co.uk/Asus-Nvidia-GeForce-Graphics-Express/dp/B0087YADCG/ref=sr_1_5?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1357348832&sr=1-5 on the low end of what I want but still fit into what I want
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Intel-i5-3570k-4-4GHz-Overclocked/dp/B0085M0H7G/ref=pd_sim_sbs_computers_6 This my rethought option now if i buy the over clocked bundle would the BIOS be up to date or will i need updates for it
also If i get a blu ray optical drive is it the same deal as a blu ray play and still plays CD/DVD (silly question I know but I do't want to make a mistake)
All help is much appreciated
I seem to have approached this wrong so I should of stared with the case but I did't know about The Form Factor of Computer Cases
Ok thats some of the parts sorted

You're focusing too much on raw numbers. Bigger number doesn't always equal better part. 3.4ghz on the CPU doesn't mean anything, you could be talking about a Pentium 4 which won't do you much good in a modern gaming build. You probably won't use 16gb of RAM, especially if you're only using it for gaming. With graphics cards, all the extra memory does is let you play at higher resolutions. If you're below 1080p, with any of the more recent cards, I doubt you'll need anywhere near 3gb.
Best thing you can do is go to an enthusiast forum, like overclock.net and just have a read round. Even better, talk to someone you know who happens to know a lot about computers. You'll annoy the hell out of them after a while, but that's the best way.

Also you don't really need an i7 3770k for gaming because the hyper threading that the i7 has, has no use in gaming. You would be better off having the i5 3570k which is still overclockable and very good for gaming.
You only really need an i7 for video rendering and other high end work.
