Someone I know recomended this is this a good gaming PC my budget is up to £700 though i would not mind paying less I do not need a monitor and I all ready have a tower though everything else will be outdated my PC is about 8 years old

For gaming purposes that processor is too slow.

You also want DDR3 RAM, that computer has DDR2 and the graphics card in that computer is quite outdated.
You need a graphics card with a minimum of 1GB video memory (GDDR) if you want to play most new releases.

Maybe go for something similar to this, it cost me around your budget (With slower 8GB ram rather than my current 16GB though, and without either of the monitors)
