So, I am a little bit stuck in terms of what I should merit now. I saw clansdancer's guide about merits in the stickies but that is more an explanation of what stuff does.

I was hoping people could give some opinions on what to merit. Currently I have the following maxed out:

Crit Hit, Life, Education Length, Bank Interest.

I have 24 merits left and I am unsure what to spend them on. My thought has gone to Crime Success rate as at some point we want to start trying PA's. However this is at least a year out so I don't know if it is worth putting merits in.

In any case, please let me know what you guys think I should pick, and more importantly why I should pick it.

Thank you

Is it really worth it? Heard a lot of people say that it is not really that much difference in it..

If you're unsure what to spend your merits on, to my mind its worth experimenting on it. When you get ready to do the complex OC's you can always buy a merit reset pretty cheaply (unless you've done a couple already).

If you want to be increasing your crime experience would it not make sense to put merits into your nerve bar as being able to do more crimes will get you there that bit faster

Crime success rate is useless in my opinion as is refilling casino tokens +10 mins hospitalisation

Personally (if I was you) I'd put some merits into your highest stats to increase it's passive ability, then I'd put a few on what weapons you use most; eg swords/rifles

I would save it until you know what works best for YOUR style of gameplay, rather than the opinion of someone elses'

If you are considering the stat/weapon mastery upgrades though. The increase from the stats is 3% per upgrade, so if you have 100 strength and upgrade brawn once you will have 103 strength in battle, with this percentage increase scaling as your stats increase.

The weapon masteries are also 3 percent, but they increase your accuracy (speed-ish) too. Each upgrade will increase your damage and accuracy with the relevant weapon by 3%.

These percentages do not compound, so it will be 30% by the end of it rather than whatever you'd get if it was compounding, too lazy to work that out, not relevant anyway.

Thanks for the replies, and I agree bogie, I need to figure out what to do according to playstyle, I was just looking for inspiration as I kind of feel like a 'jack-of-all-trades' in torn
