I have recently bought the TCP benefit block, the benefit says "You are entitled to receive advertising support for your company (;if you are the owner); which should result in a 10%; bonus to profits when holding at least 1,000,000 shares".

However to me this is somewhat confusing - maybe its just late.. but does this mean I will get 10%; unexplained rise in profits, or will I get more customers resulting in 10%; profit?

Sorry probably a newb question

Does it matter as long as you get 10%; more?

Well yeah.. More customers could mean I can marginally increase my prices.. Resulting in more profit..

a); direct increase in profits
you got 5k customers. they pay $10 each. you should make 50k, but you make 55k because the profit was automatically increased.

b); increase in customers
you got 5k customers. they pay $10 each. you should make 50k, but you make 55k because the customers are 5.5k after all.

whatever you do, it will always be customers * price * 1.1, so raise that price marginally already as it will result in the exact. same. shit.

If the number of customers increase, I could then charge 20, the number of customers would potentially decrease to say 5k.. Giving me $100k.

So yeah it matters if proficient increases or number of customers.

you're wrong and that math is just flawed.

just increase the prices already, that will affect your gains in the same way, regardless where the bonus is applied.

Day 1:;
You make $100,000 (;without the BB);

Day 2:;
You make $110,000 (;with the BB);

You just get 10%; of what you would originally make and add it onto the day's profit.

I was asking if the 10%; came from more customers or a general 10%;. If it was an increase in customers, then I would alter my prices, as my prices would no longer fitting to the feasible region, and thus wouldn't give me the optimal profit. Its a form of maths.

So if pricing doesn't matter, why don't we aim to get the most customers? Because I have seen that in my company specifically that its more about getting the optimum profit from a se;lect few customers. I am looking to get 400 customers, in order to get the optimum profit.

We could go at this for a while, lets agree to disagree? I'll believe in my moronic maths;

yeah, I'm sure you have been running a company for way longer than I have, so I'll trust your judgement

I think it just adds 10%; to each of the items that you sell. Without it something sells for 10k. With it, it sells for 11k.
