How exactly are faction wars held. Are they won on a basis of more attacks over a certain period or on an exact number of attacks?

I belive its neither of those 3. I think you need to get, from the other faction an percentage of respect (;that is defined upon declaration, but dunno if its related with the atacker or the defender);. But i guess someone will show up soon enough with a better anser.

You can have more atacks and still lose if the other faction used the respect bonus hits better, and again since it is based on respect there is no exact number of atacks, as it depends on how much respect the oposing faction has take for you.

As for the period, if there is no activity in a war for a certain period, the war will automaticly end, but it will have no victorious side. If the war is active, it will not end over time constrains.

You need to gain a margin of 25%; of the lower faction's respect. The maximum margin is 2500 and the minimum is 500.

So, if two factions go to war and one has starting respect of 4000 and the other has 15,000 then when either faction establishes a lead of 1000 respect in the war, they will be able to declare victory.

Quick question here, and apologies if it is noobie :;;);; If you are declared on by a faction (;;say Faction A);; wanting your rank, and you then go on to win yourself a war that takes you to a new rank that is more than 25 places higher than Faction A, if they then beat you, do they still get your new rank? Or does it revert to a respect-only war?

We were warring very aggressive for a while, so when the ranked wars we declared ourselves were won, we were more than 25 ranks away most of the time.

And all that changed was the "contesting for" & "defending" at warbase, so my guess is that your theory correct!

Confirmed, If you start a ranked war within 25 places then the opposing faction goes beyond the 25 places you will go up more than 25 ranks if you happen to win
