I had a 2 friend test this out and saw it pop in in threads before, in the sports team you get more per point, but since in the army you gain 10 points a day a top rank it pays of better by a small margin.

More points doesn't know more def.
As the gains in army is capped around 3.5k per points. So for 10points you will get 35k and in sports company you will get 50k for 5points with capped stat. So that's why I said it depends on the def.
