On my droid I use AndChat which is great.
On the laptop I use the chat function inside opera browser, which is pretty basic, but okay for my needs.

I'm looking to install a client on IPad & iPhone, I've tried IRC Chat but wasn't very impressed.
What are your recommendations for quality and preferably free iOS IRC clients?

Only used mIRC on the computer a few years ago. No clue man maybe they have something similar to android?

www.mibbit.com is a pretty decent in browser IRC client.. Better than the in-game browser IRC

There are plenty of irc clients available but mirc gives most independence and functionality. For appearance and ease of use, I would recommend mibbit (web based)

im using KVIrc, i had too many problems with mIRC
and on mobile im using AndChat

NoNameScript with mIRC 6.34 is what I use... I am from the past, not a phone client though.

AndroIRC for android seems popular, can you not use mibbit.com on a web browser?
