They seem to be exactly the same stats-wise:
Enfield: http://www.torn.com/iteminfo.php?XID=219
ArmaLite: http://www.torn.com/iteminfo.php?XID=399
The only difference is that Enfield has a 2x larger magazine and dirt-cheap rounds.
Does that mean Enfield, which is about 1/100th the price of an ArmaLite, is a better weapon? or is there some hidden mechanics behind the weapons?

Armalite is better the crit rate is better and the bars are rounded which makes them look the same but for newer players that rely on these 2 guns the enfield may be a better gun just because the clip is much bigger.

I always choose enfield as my main primary, even when I just started.
Dunno if it's true but I seem to miss less with enfield compared to armalite

the armalite is better at critical hits and do a sightily more damage than the enfield.

Enfield does the job but you'll notice a slight difference if you spend the money
