Wandering around the forum, came across someone with an fascinating score of negative3000. Thus inspired this question. What does forum score do? How is it earned or lost?

You gain 1 point for posting over 20 characters of something like that. You gain 5 points for posting a new topic. You gain 1 point for getting a positive rating.
You lost 20 or so points for getting your topic moved. You lose points for getting negative ratings.
(I made all these numbers up)
Forum score does nothing. Literally nothing at all.
Edit: R+ to counter oxside being mean.

not sure how Evil Duck's score can be fascinating
he just post random senseless stuff most of the time
as for how the score works here you go...

It's a sign of how awesome one is...
You will gain and lose score depending on how you use the forums. Forum score is only gained/lost in the public forums, not company/faction forums. Being active in the forums and creating intelligent threads will boost your score dramatically. You will only be scored for new topics and replies if they have over a certain amount of characters in, about 30. This is to stop spam boosting scores.
+ 5 For making a new thread
+ 1 For making a reply
+ 1 When someone gives your thread a thumbs up
- 1 When someone gives your thread a thumbs down
- 10 When a staff member deletes your reply
- 10 When a staff member moves your thread
- 50 When a staff member deletes your thread
- 20 When a staff member locks your thread |

I believe before one year or one and half years ago if someone's post were graved his score were deducted by 100 score. if deleted 250 score were deducted.
