Hello, have bounties always expired? How long do they take to expire? I have been in a couple of little bounty wars and have noticed that my bounties are expiring. I've never seen this before, although I'm almost certain I've heard of it. So, yeah, anyone else noticed bounties expiring more quickly than before?

They haven't always expired.
They take 7 days of not being claimed to expire.

Are you sure it's not less now? there's no way that those bounties have been there for 7 days.
EDIT: maybe they have been 7 days. But, since it's been frequent bounties, i think it must mean that as someone claims them- the older ones hang around and the newer ones are claimed. (rather than claiming the old ones first so they don't expire- I'm not 100% though.)

If you "re-stock" the bounties without all the old ones being claimed, there is a risk of the new ones being claimed and the old ones be left to expire.

It's not a bug, no, they're claiming the newer bounties rather than the older ones.

There's a reason:
Someones someone got bountied and quit the game after flying to another country.
Once 24h offline in another country, people can't attack them anymore and the useless, unclaimable bounties would stack up anyway.

Not realy, its just bad luck. All the bounties get listed there, so it may happen they only picked the new ones and the old ones, still while being there, were left to expire.
But hey, easy fix, let the 1st 10 be claimed before adding 10 more...

Cheers for answering guys, i realise that an easy fix is to just wait. But would it not just be better that every time someone is hospitalised and a bounty claimed that it is automatically the oldest bounty that is claimed? Or is this so that people can claim their friends' bounties and send back the money or something?
I'm a little annoyed cause it has happened twice and it seems easily avoidable. If they were claimed in order then I wouldn't have wasted any money and I don't see why they would need to be claimed out of order, seems a bit silly to me.
I guess that's why I thought it was a bug.

The way it seems is that newest bounties are claimed, it seems logical (to me anyway) that it's the oldest.
You could try submitting a bug report for staff to escalate it to ched to see what he thinks about it.
