My question is do artifacts give you a boost or any thing ?? Or are they pointless So selling them is the best option??

They're not pointless, if you have a museum unlocked (bacholor of history) you can convert them into points (which would be slightly better than selling them).
But they don't give a passive boosts like a crime enhancer or something.
